Brilliant half from the Hoops. Under the cosh as expected but defending manfully. Just the 45 minutes to go then!! HH
Good result so far, performance good defensively but not great overall. Need more from front two and Ntcham. Mulumbu, Boyata and Lustig colossal. Thems starting to act like Huns. Celtic supporters magnificent!

Griffiths needs to be doing more to prevent Salzburg building from the back and allowing them to move forward so easily into our half

Thats a very satisfactory 45 mins against a very good team.
Liking the way we have set up. The one up front away in Europe doesn’t work . We don’t have enough of the ball and he ends up getting isolated.
Good, compact formation. Minimising the spaces between the lines.
Been calling for this for ages!
Getting the ball forward quicker at times too, which is good.
McGregor probably the pick so far, but nobody has been poor.
Keep going second half. Stay concentrated. No ball watching. Need to keep the ball a bit better than at the end of the first half.
Vital we hold it up more..Defence doing great,but ball keeps coming back.Eddy is a managers nightmare.Can be so dangerous,and so fekin dozy.

Great Scoreline.
Good performance.
Still have huge worries.
The Salzburg game is an impressive one and we need the bravery to stand up to it.
Thankfully, Boyata, Hendry, N’tcham, Malumbu and Edouard are showing that.
However it takes only one moment of being too brave; trying to intercept and getting rolled, or going for a dribble in a dangerosu are and getting robbed, and all the good work gets undone.
It is great to get a chance to play at this level. It challenges us more than the Scottish game can do at the moment.

What a performance. The Bhoys are brilliant. So are the supporters! Great goal from Eddie, unlucky with the offside goal. Mulumbu brilliant. We could do with more from Griff and Ollie. James Forrest is splendid. Salzburg will worry about us on the break. Their defence have not coped when we’ve gone deep into their half. Fingers, toes crossed and prayers being said that we can keep it up. Defence doing an excellent job.

Salzburg players moaning to ref, asking for cards, remind me of Rapid Vienna – They don’t like it up them. Apart from the goal les deux amis have been poor. Griff needs to work harder. Otherwise more of the same please Celtic
Can’t be critical of any player so far. They are playing a game that is alien to them and doing well. Tighten up in possession and we should be able to create more on the break.

No problem in being critical. For me, neither Griff nor Eddy ( with the obvious exception!) are doing enough.I don`t know who is on the bench but I would prefer Morgan and Christie to E and G .

I think they are asking for a yellow for Gordon time-wasting. I think he is taking an acceptable amount of time so maybe something else.

So far so good but, very poor ball retention. Will take a 3-1 defeat, beats the usual 3-0.

Doing well so far. They could unravel. Austrians not known for their discipline.
We need the front two to hold up the ball to both take the pressure off our defence and transfer it to theirs, which, to me, looks suspect.

Can`t see how he can be expected to do much more.
Great first half hopefully keep it going .
LG needs to step up his tempo and get more involved up front , standing off while their defenders pass the ball around him , hasn’t been involved so far, unless its a tactic to slow their play down from the back.
Edouard – like Dembele at his best for the goal.
Since then – coulnae pass water or trap a bag of cement.
Ncham needs to sharpen up too – really sloppy in possession and capable of much better.
Other than that – doing great.
Tighten up the passing, get some extended possession – play hide the ball from the Austrians a bit (are we good enough for that – not sure because they press very well).
Good to get to half time ahead.
Don’t look at the clock – play every minute as it comes along.
Fingers crossed for a wee break away 2nd for the Hoops.

The longer we go without conceding, the more likely it is we’ll get a second, in my opinion.
Macjay, disagree with you there, imo Griffiths is not doing that, which would help. HH
