LIAM SCALES and Kasper Schmeichel are on a World Cup collision course after the play-off draws were made this afternoon.
The Celtic defensive double-act will be rivals to qualify for the soccer showpiece in the USA, Canada and Mexico in summer next year if their counties negotiate a path through the semi-finals.
The Republic of Ireland will play away in the Czech Republic in their one-legged last-four encounter while Denmark, who were runners-up to Scotland in their group after their 4-2 loss at Hampden on Tuesday, are at home to North Macedonia.
Scales and Schmeichel may be tasked with locking horns in the Play-Off Path D Final on March 31.

Elsewhere, Craig Bellamy’s Wales will host Bosnia and Herzegovina and could then face either Italy or Northern Ireland at home in the final.
