Schisms, corralling the message

926

Aberdeen are on the kind of downward spiral which is difficult to arrest, but there’s more going on that we know about publicly. I would be amazed if their recent run, four defeats and a draw in five games, after winning their opening eight league games, was all to do with matters on the park.

They are a team who look to be in schism. If so, Celtic Park is the perfect venue to pull together. You raise your game at Celtic Park in a way which isn’t likely in Dingwall. Whatever differences that exist will be set aside, we’ll need to be on our game to win.

Craig Whyte’s bankrupt, unable to pay Ticketus the £18m damages they won against him. Craig’s financial strength was plain for all to see, as he made regular trips north on Easyjet in his worn-out attire, owning up to the fact he couldn’t fund the bank repayment, until a clever knight put him onto Ticketus.

Charles Green was equally transparent. Relying on shares-for-backing deals with pliable ‘legends’. Now we have Dave King, overwhelmingly dependent on PR and a compliant media, while the rest of the world is sticking dates in the calendar. The most common question I’m asked these days is “When’s it going to happen?” It’s no longer a matter of “if” it’s going to happen.

The re-writing of history, evident today, will be rolled out again in due course. “We told you about him”, they will scream. Aye, sure you did. You also made it all possible, just as you did with Green, Whyte and Murray.

The trade in favours, exclusive stories, substances and team-handed loose-limbed 60 minute acquaintances, deployed to sustain the project and corral the message over the years is legend. Truly legend. Fraternity on this level takes more than money, a business lunch or a game of golf.  If that’s how you think the game is played, these guys will leave you standing.  Shed tears for none of them.

The books which will be written when the guilty are dead will sell millions.

Ghirls for Good

Ladies, sign up for this year’s Celtic Foundation Ghirls for Good Christmas lunch.  I’m told it’s a riot and one of the best days of the year at Celtic Park……  More here.

Very interesting stats, so overall when we concede a corner there’s just under 6% chance of you scoring against us whereas from corners we won we score just under 5%

The former is not how the MSM perceive our defence but could do better on the latter of course…….

  2. Well done Ronny D,getting ripped into the press and constant negatave Celtic headlines ,as passionate as i’ve heard him speak,to paraphrase,it was no one likes us,we don’t care…….

  3. Just a point on the intellectual property….

If Green and Whyte were found guilty of their alleged crimes, would that be worth anything? Surely it would revert back to Rangers (IL) and BDO.

  4. Got Hibs at 14/1 today to win the Championship with Paddy Powers. They were 20/1 a couple of weeks ago, should have backed them then. The odds will drop further if Hibs win at the weekend.

How many points will Sevco be deducted when administration happens?

That’ll depend on whether they want to be the old club, or the new club, so it’ll depend on the number of points, they might be ahead of Hibs at the point of potential admin.

Then the SFA would let them decide.

I understand it’s 15 points if they are a new club, or 25 points if they are the, ahem, same “club”

  8. Pumping one of your players wives is not the best way to create dressing room harmony… (allegedly)… especially when you don’t turn up at training (wonder where he could be?)

  9. Deila had recently expressed a sense of injustice about the lack of praise for success at Celtic, while failures, he felt, are magnified, particularly compared to other clubs.

“Where are Rangers now? They are in the Championship. When they lose against St Johnstone everything is OK. If that was 10 years ago, do you think it would be the same?” he added.

“When we lose one game, everything turns around against us. We don’t use money we don’t have but when you build things you have to be patient but we are winning at the same time as well.

“Negative things sell well – you get more clicks – but we need to focus on the positive things.

“We are in the semi-final, we’re going to play at Hampden, we’re going to play against Ajax and Fenerbahce and Molde in the European Cup.

“Where are the other Scottish teams? I don’t know. I haven’t seen them in Europe. The national team is not in Europe either – they didn’t go to the Euros.”

Gaun yersel Ronnie Bhoy,TSMSM,and a lot on here dont like it up em.But you really gave it a big shove.

  10. Despite bets on Hibs from CQNers, let’s hope it’s 15 for a first administration event, and then we might get some goddam peace!

    Aye, ye ur!

  11. I understand the schism is about the manager and a player falling out over a position. Possibly missionary.

What ever happened to our intelligent Teddy Bear?

    I met him at Paul’s 40th .

He was very sociable and intelligent.

I know that he had an interest in junior football and once said that he was going to concentrate on that.

If you ever look in .

I am is appointed that you have disappeared like melting snow since your club died.

I suppose you have moved your interest onto something else like May of your fellow old one supporters.

    Chelsea,Linfield,England,Norn Irron.

But will you climb out from under the floorboards ,when your newco gets promoted to the SPFL ?

    Time will tell.

I suspect it all just became too much for you and your fellow supporters.

The pain of being inferior to us must be overwhelming.

    Our day has come.

Now we are where we’ve been many times before.

It’s always why when the press start ‘wading in’, that the Celtic negativists, look so stupid.

They get caught up in the

“ I don’t like RD flood of anti Celtic sh99te “ that every single Celtic manager has to endure, even when it’s a proven winner with titles under his belt, a four point lead and still in four tournaments.

    Plus ca change csc

  15. Hunderbirds are Gone on

Best outcome would be that they bite the bullet, take the 15 point penalty, and grudgingly admit they are a new club, for reasons of expediency.

Then Hibs pump thems at the weekend and Falkirk win. This would mean that Falkirk had 6 points to defend to stay ahead of thems, until the end of the season to resign thems to third, and another year in the Championship. Jelly and Ice Cream anyone?

  16. Dear Ronny,

It’s a feckin’ disgrace that you have never won the treble, the EL, the Champions League and the World Cup. Call yourself a manager? Harumph!

  17. TinyTim

I think EdwardUrsus otherwise ‘Teddy Bear’ bowed out under the gentlemanly persona he maintained, on the basis of ‘what’ and ‘how’ it happened, at least I like to think he did.

Enjoy the game tomorrow, not too much sweetie paper rustling, I hope.

I didn’t realise he had 9 brothers and 85 cousins in the same trade

  20. Ronny’s quite magnificent rant on SSN is exactly what our club’s “leadership” should be doing on a constant basis. Handed the SMSM their heads on a plate. Defended our club and stated the very obvious about the financial situation in Scoddish fitba. Gave it tight to SFA about how “well” Scoddland did in the Euros. Well done to that Mhan!!!!

    wee question

can any of you bookie types tell me if there is an upper limit on what i could bet on say Falkirk or Hibs winning the league.I am sure i read on here a while back that the bookies were not allowing you to bet more than £150

would this be common practice? i ask only as i thought it strange that the bookies would put an upper limit on what we(dafties) bet, especially when betting against the mirage that is Pep Warbiolas team :-) i thought taking bets would be easy money for the bookies.

ach maybe they know/knew somethin was happening

    :-)
