KASPER SCHMEICHEL was a two-time loser as his Celtic career came to an unexpectedly abrupt halt.
The 39-year-old legendary Danish keeper conceded four goals as the Hoops collapsed to a shocking 4-1 Europa League defeat to VfB Stuttgart at Parkhead on February 18.
Four days later, Schmeichel experienced that sinking feeling again when the champions were hit by a classic late sucker-punch to topple 2-1 to Hibs at the same venue.
Shortly after that reverse, it was revealed the towering No.1, capped 120 times by his country, would be forced to undergo surgery on the right shoulder that was damaged on international duty against Portugal in Lisbon almost a year beforehand.

One-time Celtic and Scotland World Cup netminder Alan Rough hopes Schmeichel is remembered as a winner after picking up a league medal and playing a key role in the Premier Sports League Cup Final win over Rangers when he denied Ridvan Yilmaz in the penalty-kick shoot-out.
The 74-year-old media pundit, speaking to the Daily Record, said: “I hope he’s looked on well. I think the early days, when he took over from Joe Hart, there was no problem at all.
“He was great in Europe, he was great in the club. He had that ability to make that big save.
“And I think he should be remembered for the games that he played in. Honestly, now that I see the injuries that he has been carrying, it’s pretty bad.
“For a goalkeeper, you need every part of your body to be flexible and that wasn’t the case with him. So, I would like to think he will be remembered as a legend.”
