Scott Allan back, Newco will have a plan!

Scott Allan had an enormous August, feted by more than one club before joining the champions, so the emotional crash caused by his subsequent injury must have been significant. It was great to hear him return to action with the youths against Hearts last night. We’re competing in three competitions in the coming weeks, so there should be ample opportunity for Scott to get his feet under the table.

I’m a bit curious at reports Dave King and other Newco majority shareholders have agreed a plan to pay Charlies Green’s legal costs, “should they be ordered to do so by the court”.  Aye, very good.  It’s all a bit of a let down to me, who was hoping to see Dave take on the courts, before coming to an inevitable satisfactory outcome with them.

It puts a hitherto unknown limit on the modesty of Mr King, who has now apparently accepted his authority is below that of the Scottish court system. What we haven’t heard is what that plan is, who is going to stump up the cash, or who is going to make up the trading shortfall for this season.  I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.

With no assets to secure and the prospect of a criminal trial rendering the business unsustainable, further investment at this stage is an act of considerable faith. Such acts do happen, think back to our own John Keane in 1994, who paid £1m to stop the Bank of Scotland putting Celtic into administration. It’s just this kind of act doesn’t seem to happen at Ibrox.  I wonder why?

  1. HT,

Oh gawd aye. It’s pretty grim so many die hards will miss out.

But that’s not where my glee was aimed.

Does anyone know what has happened to The Scottish Football Monitor? It has been down for 10 days now. The site says their is a server problem, but 10 days is overly long for that.

I had the same problem accessing the site – but, knowing little of how to deal with all things computer, I got back on by ‘googling’ sfm and clicking onto ‘blog’. I hope that helps.

  3. HT,

I kent you kent that ya kent. :)

Our wee away bus had 9 minimum at every game bar the sheep.

Taking 15 to ross county in a few weeks which is some going for us.

2 tickets for tynecastle. Pretty rubbidge for the guys.

Looking at Google Maps, I noticed that Ibrox was the `Famous` Home whereas Celtic Park was the ` Raucous ` Home !!!

Incidentally, the back of the Record had Packy Bonner saying that if we didn`t win two trophies and reach the KO stages of the Europa League, then Ronny should be sacked. Why is the Media so keen to be negative about us?

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has confirmed that Emilio Izaguirre required stitches after a training ground bust-up with team-mate Nadir Ciftci.

*widnae be he first time that I leaned across a board room table and said tae some spoofin bassa “do you think I’m effin daft son”. Daft isnae a word that’s commonly used over here, that and dumpln they soon learned.

why is it every new player we sign is either not fit or gets injured and we don’t get to see them for 5 or 6 weeks. In the meantime a chunk of the season is gone and important games are lost.

*might be wrong here but I believe that when Wispy signed Jock told him he might be hearts fit but not Celtic so he would have to get his fitness up before he got in the first team. A few injuries here and there and Wispy was in right away and never looked back.

Awe ffs, The predicable petition doin it’s rounds, will no doubt be handed to the lieutenants of the C T, to attack the board, demand the person they are witch hunting be withdrawn from the board immediately, and be replaced by one of their own, . Outstanding…..

    Let’s make another banner.

    Tony!!! Another one???

You never told us you’d made your first one!

Good for you my wee student-loving agitator you!!!’

On the trail of ole Dave’s gold mine. “.

  9. Ronny certainly doesn’t have his troubles to seek.

I’m more annoyed, that it is yet more negative press coming our way.

That it was Cifti and Izzy, you can’t help but think… Who really cares.

Almost like being told Willie Falconer and Mark McNally are at logger heads. Nobody gives a sh@t.

  10. Ruggyman

I do! I wanted Ciftci to start tomorrow, and keep Leigh healthy for the more important fixtures at the weekend and Molde next week.

Cotton wool and bubble wrap for our striker!

  11. GM

It’s a pretty poor state of affairs, I know quite a few who never, ever miss who won’t be there.

  12. BEATBHOY on 27TH OCTOBER 2015 5:58 PM

In my opinion tomorrow is a must win and more important than Aberdeen or Molde at home. I would go full strength without a doubt.

  13. Mate in work who’s going tomorrow says Hearts have only sold about 5k tickets for tomorrow. Whole thing is a nonsense. Ann Budge trying to make a name for herself and get on the SPFL board.

  14. A training ground altercation?

Would have liked to have seen one between Davie Hay and Jim Brogan.

That’s for the ‘more mature’, aka auld bassas, on here.

The rest of you can ask yer dads and granpas.

Seem to recall things working out not too badly the last time our left back was involved in a training ground bust-up with our new striker…….

Disgusted but not surprised at the scandalous £500 fine for that orange bats Ard paton. .. Wonder if the sfa will ban him the way they did Leigh earlier this season

And no surprise that the smsm make a big deal of izzy getting a flea in his ear

  17. Captain Beefheart on

Oh well. At least Cifci hit some sort of target. Shame it was Izzy and not a Motherwell player.

Some posters are now relying on Cole. Lord help us.

How about a petition to get our board to buy an actual striker?

  18. TOMMIE20

I’m one of the auld bassas on here.

    Pal of BMCUW.

Who, as you know, is one of the slightly less auld, auld bassas on here.

I often think that if the Celtic board were to ransack TD’s hoose he’d chase them to give them the shirt off his back as well.

We are all off to Tynecastle in the green

    Don’t rub it in.

  22. Give Hearts same number of tickets for CP. They missed out another 2,000 plus at the gate, their loss.

Once again, I’ll appoligise for being a Celtic supporter in. Here.

I’m not sure I understand the anger about Lord Livingston voting with his fellow Tory lords last night. He’s a Tory, all the Tories will have been whipped to vote this way, so he hasn’t done anything different to any other votes he has taken part in – presumably he voted the same way for the Bedroom Tax?

    Or have I missed something?

  25. Thetimreaper

I just think that they’ll obviously be getting stuck in, encouraged by the leniency afforded them a few weeks ago at Celtic Park.

And, as the league cup is not, to me, as important as the other 2 competitions mentioned, then I think we use the squad and give LG a break.

The training incident makes it even less likely that Ciftci will play, I’d imagine.

Whoever plays, hope we horse them anyway, of course.
