Scott Brown was assaulted at Ibrox on Sunday and was relentlessly taunted for a family bereavement. His trademark celebration was understated but marked the treatment he received. He has been cited by the SFA for “not acting in the best interests of Association Football.” There is plenty of precedent for Celtic’s legal team to call in his defence.
I have stood within two yards of Celtic fans throwing pyrotechnics onto the field of play. I have also been in a stairwell, exiting a game with thousands of other packed Celtic fans, when a device went off to the delight of a handful, causing panic to hundreds of others.
If you think appealing to a desire not to damage the reputation of Celtic fans will stop those throwing pyrotechnics, you are wrong. The reputation of Celtic fans is inconsequential to anyone who throws an item at a player or onto the field. This is their chance to set their own rules, their personal reputation remains just fine. If you think they are going to stop because Neil Lennon tells them to, you are deluded.
This will result in blanket video surveillance, a handful of prosecutions, and then we will get back to normal, when Celtic fans’ reputation was the envy of world football.
How much have we missed Ryan Christie? It is not just what he personally brings, it is having him, Callum McGregor and James Forrest on the field at the same time allows us to move the ball at a pace that is not possible without them.

Big changes needed regarding who gets away tickets.
Micro community of uber fan developing who are only interested in any ultra nonsense they can generate.
For them the football is secondary.
We have been here before — casuals at ER in Nov 1987 comes to mind.
RC made a difference last night — he is still very raw but he is a huge talent.
He can do stuff that most of the team can only dream about.
However he needs support and a proper MF balance.
CMcG / ON / RC with TW and OB out wide would have been a much better set up than last night.

Yes, slightly ironic, on the week you guys deliver your pièce de résistance on Res 12*, that the SFA are conjuring up charges against Celtic around the Old Firm MKII, to even things up.
As you are aware it is no use saying they can’t do this! It has been well established that the SFA can make up their own rules and interpret them in any way they seem fit.
The real issue is… why are we here!?
The Old Firm should be long dead and buried, yet we are right back to eight years ago and the shame game.
At a time when Rangers were engaged in false pretence to secure a UEFA Licence as they expected to be competing in the UCL Qualifiers by fair means or foul.
After all that has happened in the last eight years Celtic have given credence to Sevco Rangers, the SFA and the SPFL and it’s as if…

On the subject of balance in the MF — the reserves at StM on Tuesday were missing something in the MF.
The three that we put out were all too similar and we needed a bit of a spark through the middle.
Add in the KD is carrying the attack at 16.
JA looked more of a support striker and not a true leader of the line and AO was not at the races in any way shape or form and we struggled for two thirds of the game.
Not sure that the youth set up is firing on all cylinders at the moment.
Celtic should make contact with the green brigade leaders, using Kieran Tierney as a go between as he already knows some of them.
Kieran could approach them and ask them to help police our supporters, and Single out the minority of clowns who are damaging the reputation of our club.

Very intelligent movement from Callum McGregor at the second goal. Dragging a defender out of position and creating space for the Christie shot. Had been making those off-the-ball runs all second half but nobody else was clever enough to attack the space he was creating.
We struggle far too often in these types of games where defences sit deep. Has been an issue for some time and has cost us points. Really something that needs to be looked at going forward.
Probably not the type of game for Burke, with the tight pitch and the deep-sitting defence as there was no space in behind for him to use his pace . Edouard looked more the part when he came on, with his ability to drop deep and run directly at them with the ball. This will win us a lot of penalties. If only we could score them….
Anyway, three more points. Only a matter of time now. Good to see Christie back too.

Made that very point watching the re-run when we got back last night. Initially it looked as if Christie had about 5 defenders bearing down on him, but Calums rund dragged at least one and possibly two away such that it created the space for the shot. Pass and move – the wee man is brilliant.

According to BT Sports resident referee, stopping or stuttering during the run up is permissible. It’s the striking of the ball which must be a continuous action.

It might have fantastic motives or fantastic values or fantastic plans, but it is not a fantastic site. It is amateurish. It has multiple errors (spelling, content etc). It has superfluous pages. For it to be suggesting that comments should be made to a particular post on SFM is not one of the attributes of a fantastic site. I’m amazed anyone can follow a thread on SFM. It is the most complicated football related site I’ve ever come across.
I think the need and audience for a fantastic site on Res 12 is there. Unfortunately I don’t think this is it.

The biggest promotion for Res 12 and whether anyone who has strong feelings on it is now, season ticket renewal time, any other protest will not get the attention of Celtic plc.

heard that a couple of supporters buses i know locally originally had only 6 or 7 tickets for the game last nite
however by yesterday they had 20-odd each
why? because when the unused fat cat allocation got handed back a couple of days before the game the buses are allowed to just hoover them up even though they dont know specifically who they are going to
if a season ticket holder had went to the ticket office to try get any unclaimed tickets they would just have been told all tickets are sold out
high time buses stopped getting preferential treatment as if they are more important than other season ticket holders
