CELTIC will kick off their quest for a fourth successive Scottish Cup with a fourth round tie against Partick Thistle at Firhill in January.
The Hoops faced the Jags in the opening stages of the Betfred League Cup in Maryhill last season before going on to win 3-1 on their way to lifting the trophy with a 1-0 success over Aberdeen.
They also played their Glasgow neighbours in the same competition this time around and won 5-0 at Parkhead as they headed towards to a 5-0 success over Hibs in the semi-final. Neil Lennon’s men are now due to face Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side in the Final a fortnight today.
So, the draw made last night on BBC Sportscene completed the Jags hat-trick with the holders heading across the city to take on the Championships side in the opening round in defence of their silverware.
