SCOTTISH CUP SEMI-FINAL DRAW: WHERE AND WHEN

THE Scottish Cup semi-final draw will be made immediately after Celtic’s quarter-final clash with Dundee United at Tannadice this evening.

The match between the Hoops and the Tayside outfit is scheduled for a 7.45pm kick-off and the ballot will then take place at the final whistle.

The action will be shown live by Premier Sports satellite channel.

The Parkhead men, who won four successive national competitions until the wheels came off in last season’s first trophyless campaign in 11 years, are hoping to go into the ballot where they could meet either of the Edinburgh duo of Hibs or Hearts.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox side made certain of their last-four place with a 3-0 victory over Dundee at Dens Park yesterday.

Earlier in the day, Shaun Maloney’s Easter Road outfit overcame Motherwell 2-1 at Fir Park. Astonishingly, the hosts had central defender Bevis Mugabi red-carded inside a minute for a wayward challenge on Josh Doig.

Robbie Neilson’s Tynecastle club were first to book a semi-final berth with a 3-2 win over gallant St Mirren in the capital on Saturday night.
