The point was made to me last night, “I have seen several worse kicks in the head since Yang’s red card at Tynecastle, all of them have been yellow cards. Arm pulls will stop being a red card offence after Trusty.”
The VAR intervention on Sunday was precipitated by a player presenting as though his shoulder was dislocated. It was not and he made a complete recovery after the red card was issued. This is the second egregious intervention against our USA central defender since the turn of the year. What is it that they do not like about him? I assume it is nothing more serious than the colour of his shirt.
Scottish football is about to distort reality, just as it did in the weeks following Auston’s red card at Tynecastle. It might look random but it’s not.

HAIL HAIL just in from TESCO
FAVOURITE UNCLE
What’s for tea?
Hearts Ageu out for the rest of the season, and Findlay the CH out for the next 6 weeks. Craig Gordon also out for a period of time.
There once was a club dressed in green,
Whose matches grew wildly obscene,
For each honest shout
Met a red card sent out,
While Rangers got whistles pristine.
And when they were tripped in the box,
The ref merely checked his two clocks,
“No penalty, play!”
He’d casually say,
As Ibrox just burst into mocks.

Take the humping. Better that than narrow the inevitable defeat and hobble ourselves for the game that matters.

PLB; I can’t see MoN relishing fielding a lesser team to cop a caning. It feels un-Celtic to me.
If we do, it simply endorses the importance of OldFirm Inc as the key games in our calendar.
If only it weren’t so.
PS Paul67; I’m a bit shocked at your suggestion of racism by the ref brotherhood.
Biased, bitter anti-us 100% – but I’m shirley not alone in scoffing that it’s a colour prejudice if that’s wot you suggest? Auston simply plays where the margins for indiscretions can be penalised for optimal effect.
Our suits need to vigorously campaign to effect a ‘no team bias’ veto on hun-mindeds reffing in Scotchland.
Scottish Football continues to distort reality P67
There fixed that :-)
Well done Favourite Uncle on podium, forgot biscuits i bet.

We had the perfect opportunity to leave old firmery behind but chose not to. Not much point moaning about it now.
Played a 60min bounce game tonight.
Cadence and timing wasn’t quite 100% – but the game and the post-match Guinnesses were braw.

Easy solution to VAR, stop paying for it and pay not a penny more until a different FA is responsible for it in this country, put an end to the cushy number for the Hun cheats who are in there.
Paul 67,
I am usually in agreement with the sentiment in your articles.
However I am not onboard with the implication you have just written.
It could be misconstrued by the darker elements in our society.
Unnecessary, unwarranted and potentially inflammatory in my opinion.
HH.
Maybe if we can get everybody distracted by the officiating they’ll forget the real reason why we are where we are…….
The Bobby Ewing CSC in full flow last night, the Board have done nothing wrong, oh and bring Lawwell back………
Does it make any difference if the VAR is in a room 60, 600 or 6,000 miles away. Probably not. So the only reason to insist that this service must be provided by Scottish officials is that perhaps this fits a wider agenda.
Solution: Take away the possibility of underhandedness and skulduggery, and put an end to paranoia (justified or not) by outsourcing VAR to England. Celtic should be pushing for that to happen ASAP.
I’m not distracted from the shambles at Celtic, refereeing standards are always an issue, we have been able to accumulate a points buffer in the past several years not so now and it doesn’t take much to tilt a tight league to Sevco. Referees and VAR are assiting them in this.
Bada & Dessy fellas

Now I have the Dallas theme tune running through my head.

Four days out from Sunday
… can I politely suggest the following message is posted anywhere and everywhere to create a critical mass of understanding and, maybe just maybe, public discussion, BEFORE kick off.
———-
Rangers vs Celtic, 01 March 2026
Match referee, John Beaton, LOVES Rangers (His words)
Match VAR, Steven McLean, was a Rangers mascot
———-
Just the facts.
No slanted opinions, colour commentary, or perceived bias needs to be added.
As individual supporters, we routinely feel we have little control over events which shape the prospects for our beloved team.
And it can be frustrating as hell.
The current disaffection with our board being an example.
So what can we do?
Our own tiny individual crumb of contribution is what.
Please copy and paste loud, wide and often.
For sure – it might not make a tangible difference.
But it might.
And Celtic (in our current state) could use every little bit of help going !
PS ..
If some random bull5h1t philosophy helps?
(a standard tool for those with an agenda they are trying to sell to the masses)
Try this for size.
“If a starving man gathers enough crumbs ?
… he gets to eat a loaf”
“It might look random but it’s not.”
It doesn’t remotely look random, and never has.
Old Firm gonna Old Firm, nothing new here.
This is the playground our suits chose for us as the Euro version is for serious ambitions. So we just need to suck it up.
Old Firmism, stunting Celtic season in season out.
Happy St. Tarasius Day!

Always with the positive smart idea.
Unlike idiots who just want to rake up a mistake or two made by others.
Perhaps in their own sad wee worlds it males them feel of value.
Mistakes were made at the top. A big mistake. The correct structure is not in place to deal with it or indeed the fall out.
We are where we are.
Except in a world where sad folk have a need for retribution.

Trusty is targeted because he’s got a temperament issue. I didn’t think it was a red, I thought it ridiculous and we’ll very likely never see a red like that again.
However, we knew in January we lacked CB cover and we went and got a lad with less than one handful of senior appearances to his name. Now he’ll double his career appearances during our season defining two weeks. That’s on us.
We knew Kasper was done but we didn’t recruit a keeper. So he’ll stay in position for the crucial games coming up and he will 100% cost us goals. That’s on us too.
Our January window was a shambles. It was all there to be won and we did eff all worth note to help the manager.
So I can’t get overly bothered about the officials right now.
Re Trusty
Against Hearts it was to prevent us winning.
Against Hibs it was for us to lose or not to win &
for Trusty to miss the Ibrox game since they know we’ve no experienced cover.

I hope Benji Arthur is a hardy chiel.
For Sunday
Said over a year ago on here Knutsen was our man…
But naw…our expert execs decide to go with an untried rookie…we got very, very lucky with Ange….. let’s be honest it was never going to happen again..incompetence me thinks..
If we get pumped in our next three games……..Can someone please turn the lights oot…..
Oh..and don’t forget the disco wans anaw….🥴

Messages or as they say doon here groceries.
Operation dead cat in full flow, even calls for in match demos, now why didn’t I think of that?
Bottom line here is that the issues frustrating all of us at the moment, maybe to very different levels, are not being addressed by the people who should be addressing them. Our do nothing board continues to excel at exactly that, doing nothing. It is their approach to all adversity, let’s wait it will go away.
Gallagher……
We are in a title fights canny carry any passengers…..

Donavon Arthur Scales Tierney
Aruajo Calmac Ox Sarrachi
Benji Cvancara
Impact subs K.I. & Bernardo to see the game out.
A wee aside, our most famous one issue poster reckons we are where we are, I’m sure most would agree for now but the hypocrisy of blaming our fourth last manager for that state kinda blows away any serious discussion.
This time last year Celtic Glasgow had just lost 3-2 on agg to the mighty Bayern Munich.
What happened next? CSC
Looks like Desmondo and his cowardly board of imposters have woken up and are finally getting angry to the fact we are being cheated on a weekly basis .
Better late than never.
Although very little will change with these guys in charge .
Must be getting a bit nervy about season ticket uptake .
Maestro, my team would be along those lines.
I’m afraid however Martin will leave as is and for the first time since the 90s im

Interesting listen from Graeme Spiers and guest.
It gets more confusing with each messy comparison made.

Hail Hail

Genuinely worried we’ll get a real doing. I’m normally a glass half full guy.
Five way battle for this title is what is happening.
Motherwell are the form side playing the best footy and I think that is our hardest league match out of the next three.
An T that’s an interesting listen particularly the reference to group think and Beatons actions.
It can only be a matter of time before someone on here blames Mike Nicholson for Trusty’s red card……
