Celtic plan to discuss Auston Trusty’s red card on Sunday with the SFA after their appeal against the decision was rejected, but no illuminating information will be received. We need to move on and focus all efforts on the important games ahead. Nursing a grievance is no bad thing either. The players and management feel they were denied an important win by match officials. It will sharpen their appetite to get the job done.
The whole of Scottish football is waiting for Celtic to fail. The best thing to happen to the game here in the 21st century has become too successful for them to stomach. No one else is in our corner, we should expect nothing as a generation which has seen only Celtic success lets their guard down.

Good news re Iheanacho and Saracchi.
If Hamburg Huns want to pay us £11.3m for Tounetki take the money and run.
Interest also in Hatate and Bernardo. Wee Mickey and jawbone McKay will be having palpitations with the prospect of bringing in that kind of money and getting the wage bill down.
Terrific stuff. Just what we need.
No wonder celtic have no plans to upgrade the stadium
Conference league football would not fill extra seats and that’s where we’re heading

A bigger stadium would increase football income, but that needs financing[not impossible] if backers notably fans see a club trying to grow, and a willingness of an ambitious board. How long would construction take of a new South stand 2 yrs 3 ?

Thanks for that, we wouldn’t have the housing issues and just the small issue of raising 200m, could a rail terminus be a possibilty closer to the stadium? Cost? Shared with the City regeneration works?Handy for the Emirates Arena too.
For now we need good players get it done Board.
Scottish Football wants Celtic to ail…

Celtic40me, you are one of a rapidly decreasing number of CQNers I enjoy reading.
That being so, I would imagine you are quite pleased at being dismissed by James Forrest :-))
The money involved is crazy
Raheem Sterling has left Chelsea by mutual consent after reaching an agreement to end his contract early.
The 31-year-old had 18 months remaining on his £325,000‑a‑week deal.
Sterling leaves after three-and-a-half seasons at Stamford Bridge following his move from Manchester City for £47.5m in 2022.
Paul,
I have always had immense respect for you for giving us this great platform to air our views, and grievances. But, as other people better than myself have said, it is not the fault of Scottish Football that we are in the position that we are in. This is not incompetence on the boards part, it is just shear get it right up you by our board to the lifeblood of our club, the supporters! Here we are 28 days into window #2 of the season, and we are still not bringing in players, and those that we are, are on loan. As someone mentioned, maybe we are waiting on the outcome of tomorrow night’s game , and if so, that is a damned right good kick in the hawmaws to you and everyone of us that love this club dearly. They are hanging a living legend in Martin O’Neil, out to dry right now by not giving him the tools he desperately needs in order to mount some kind of challenge on everyone in our league, and not just the two in front of us. The lack of ambition is there for everyone in Scottish football to see.
They are the ones to blame, not the refs, not the actions of the other teams, but the utter garbage performance of a bunch of so-called businessmen who are running our club into the ground. This is not the rantings of an entitled Celtic fan because just like many on this platform, we have been through the ringer at some point as a true Celtic fan. This is the opinion of someone who loves this club dearly, and is heart broken at how quickly our fall from grace has become.
Sorry my friends.

If we had got a bid for 11.5 million for Tounetki, he’d be bundled into a boot and on his way to the airport. File under pish.

Watched Martin’s Celtic TV interview there, thanks for the link. They used to say that no news is good news, think it is fair to say that there was not much in the way of good news. Not totally true, he mentioned that Kellechi was available, so might be an option for the Utrecht game and beyond, lets hope he can remain fit for the rest of the season, give us a decent option. Hatate is out but McCowan played a couple of times out left and didnt look too bad. Or Bernardo in there somewhere, has done quite well in Europe before. Or Welsh infront of the defence, he was in our original squad. Does anyone know off hand if we can replace any of our injured or departed players, CCV/JSP/Osmand/Shin et al with our two new loanees, UEFA do not seem to have updated their squad lists since well September.
Get Hatate out – he’s not kicked a ball for months and doesn’t look interested. A major let down !
Tounekti I’d keep. Remember he has not played with a target man to compliment his wing play. I think with ineacho and cvachara he would shine.
Bernardo is tidy but not powerful and dynamic – we need players who can play in Scotland (first) and can transition to Europe.
I think we will sign a couple – just not the power O’Neil demanded.

“Well the host is having his moment of glory. Talk about fiddling whilst Rome burns.
The assertion that “he won’t sue” is yet another in a long line of reckless gambles endorsed by idiots who always think they’ll have the last word. I would not put Fergus’ famous “one thin dime” on their being right. That statement leaves us legally exposed to a tremendous degree. Because of course that’s an official club communication, not Desmond’s personal website.
Which means that the legal burden of proof falls on the club, not on the mustachioed Wizard of Oz.
I agree that there’s been an act of enormous harm to Celtic done here. It’s just not the one some people think”
Then he comes on here calling other people a fraud😂
——————
Just read this. Hilarious. I am loving “the legal burden of proof falls on the club”, from Mr Forrest.
I suppose when knowing nothing about football doesn’t stop you expressing ‘expert’ judgment about players, when knowing nothing about high level business (or about having a professional job) allows you to pontificate about the club’s finances; when knowing nothing about coaching let’s you mouth off about tactics, why would you let complete ignorance about Scots law stop you from mouthing off about defamation – ‘burden of proof’ falling on the defender indeed. In a defamation case! Brilliant stuff.
Did he really come on here and call someone a fraud? What a parody.
Tounetki has played very well in quite a few games. I hope he stays. I’m not so sure about McCowan and Barnardo but I hope they stay too.
At present we can’t afford to lose anyone
Sorry, that’s Bernardo and Tounekti…..spelling issues!

those wishing for a takeover, or as it might be known, anyone but desmond , i see ACSOM again talking up the LT and DD proxy voting silliness as a thing, ignoring again that CT, MK and TA all vote the same way (i think they are on sticky ground by repeating this y the way)
Lowe proudly talks about the Machievellian strategies he used to get ahead of the old board.
If something is in play, who actually bought the LT sale of 1.5%

Lindsell Train Limited, a major institutional investor, reduced its shareholding in Celtic PLC twice in late 2025, dropping its voting rights to 14.88% by November 19, 2025, from over 16% in October. The firm, a long-term, non-executive investor, sold approximately 750,000 shares in the initial October reduction and further trimmed its stake ahead of the club’s November AGM.
Key Details of the Reduction:
Initial Drop: In October 2025, Lindsell Train decreased its stake from 16.39% to 15.70%.
Second Drop: On November 19, 2025, the firm further reduced its stake by 0.82%, bringing their total voting rights to 14.88%.
Context: The reductions occurred ahead of the Celtic Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on November 21, 2025.
Remaining Position: Despite the reduction, Lindsell Train remains a significant shareholder and the second-largest investor in the club behind Dermot Desmond.
The London-based firm has historically held a large stake in Celtic, and these actions indicate a continued, gradual trimming of their position rather than a complete exit.

I could be wrong but I’m guessing we have to go against Utrecht with the players we have….
Of course you might know better…

I can’t help feeling that the club is being constrained in some kind of holding pattern. This is too bizarre and not normal. From a business point of view, this stinks. We have the resources to take calculated risks and we are nowhere near doing that. The league, champions league, seem to no longer matter. Too much money in the bank. I’ve said this before, we’re vulnerable to a takeover and I see no signs of resistance.

what peaked my interest was ACSOM highlighting that LT investors have been annoyed with fund performance . and that they are the worst 1 year and 5 year returns.
while saying “make of that what you will”
ignoring the purpose of their portfolio investments and reducing stakes in man u, juve and now celtic.
my honest opinion, nothing to do with celtic plc performance.
but hey ho, and stick will do
speculation is the new make things up.

Saint Stivs,
It’s not my intention to patronise anyone, I’m sure that there’re plenty of posters on here with way more business acumen than myself. However, in my experience, when an entity is cash rich, acquisitions are in most cases the best way to ensure the integrity and growth of said entity. Unless you are dangling your richesse to a market. There are literally hundreds of top quality players kicking their heels on benches or loans from the 20 odd teams in the English Premier League. And Celtic can’t get any, any of them before they sign up there? It’s either embarrassing or it’s policy. I’m way down the road of believing that this is now
policy. I may be totally wrong, but it looks very much like Celtic is on the market. I’m very suspicious although admittedly without a shred of real evidence other than the numbers.

Bhoys Town @ 6.36pm – aye, unbelievably he came on at 1.21 this afternoon to call Celtic40me a “fraud” and “complete charlatan”.
Whilst funny, the sensationalist drivel he posted about law suits turned out to be an amuse bouche.
One of his minions came on shortly thereafter to tell us nothing would happen for a week because it was half term…………..”AND ALL THE LAWYERS WERE ON HOLIDAY” 😂😂
