Scottish Government, SFA and SPFL will find evidence to start playing in Aug

200

We live in a political world.  With most of Europe either already playing football, training or with dates set to resume, the Scottish Government will fall in line and grant football a return on 1 August.  They will be able to cite supporting medical evidence, but, more importantly, there is no appetite to plough a lone furrow on this issue.

Covid testing kits and processes are more readily available now than a month ago, this situation will hopefully significantly improve before contact training resumes several weeks from now.  Premiership clubs must and will find the money to test, train and play games.

While Peter Lawwell has been invited to the videoconference, it has been made clear to representatives from the Scottish Government, the SFA and the SFPL that the technology does not allow him to sign autographs.

Ann Budge relentless drive to win friends and influence people continues unabated.  Jim McInally, now manager at Peterhead, said of her reconstruction plan, “It’s just not true that no club has been disadvantaged. It just shows a total disregard for other clubs.”

In a statement that verges on presidential (US presidential, that is), Budge told Sky Sports News, “My understanding, although I could be wrong, is if the situation was deemed to be sufficient of an emergency, that the board can choose to implement a change. That’s what I have been told, but it’s hearsay, I’ve not read the rules to that level of detail.”

She’s not read the rules, it “could be hearsay” and she could be wrong.  It is unfathomable how Hearts have performed so poorly under her stewardship.  Still, at least she’s charming Hearts future opponents.

  1. I thought the site was easier to navigate tonight. No mad pop ups.

Unfortunately i can’t blame that or the Wi fi for lack of knowledge 😁😁🌈

Thank you for your response. There are two issues. As many have found, one way to log on, once difficulty is encountered, is to post anything at all on Page 1. What I am now finding is that if I try to go back one page, say from 3 to 2, Page 3 then becomes lost. It is very frustrating, and I always feel tempted to flee to another site, such as Sentinel Celts, where I have encountered no such issues.

  3. Thanks as ever CRC.

I will need to pass my winners medal onto Jobo as I have been sharing a beer virtually with my big bro whilst doing the quiz, so it was a team effort.

  4. Marc the quizzes are great ,I lurkingly take part but the distractions here are mighty ,so I always scroll through at my own pace, answering and adding up my score and no matter whoever comes bottom every week, take heart cause I always beat you to last place 😜

  5. Congrats Majestic Hartson

Mega thanks CRC. Your time and effort is again much appreciated.

    Cheers and HH.

  6. Majestic Hartson – you are a deserved winner, enjoy the limelight!

SFTB – I’ve just emailed Paul with my 30 day ‘notice’. If site access remains so difficult by the end of June I’m out of here!

We may need to think of an alternative option/platform for the quiz…

  8. Oh and how remiss of me, Marc – brilliant quiz as always. Deserves a huge audience but unfortunately that’s unlikely to happen any time soon…..

  9. All the best Jonny Hayes

You lived the dream.. You scored at Ibrox

    🍀

  10. Just in, sorry to CRC for missing the quiz, broke curfew today to attend family barbecue, reading questions I reckon I would have disgraced myself tonight, so maybe picked the right night to miss out,

Congrats to Majestic Hartson it’s good to see the Title circulate,

Anyhow I’m knackered going to snooze in my recliner until tis time for bed.

  11. Our league should have been starting up again over the next couple of weeks, but no this blog is an snp mouth piece, not lazy journalism ho ho ho

  12. Jobo (and others) am surprised you are still getting probs accessing the site. I use Chrome, I have installed Adblocker, and disabled Javascript. After that no probs with access, either on my laptop or tablet. Throughout tonight I had no probs at any time (perhaps I should have had some to explain my poor show!). Just today I picked up my wifie’s new tablet and logged on, to find masses of ads on the site, reminding self that I hadn’t installed Adblocker nor disablef Javascript for her. Two minutes later all sorted. Am I just lucky somehow?

  13. I still don’t understand why our league jumped the gun, only eight games two a week , job done

I use Chrome, I have Java Script disabled, and I have not one, but three separate Adblockers. I still have trouble logging on, and staying logged on if I move from page to page. I have no adverts. Sometimes, when I wish to post a comment, it takes so long to get logged in that the moment is lost.

I post under a number of nom de plumes on several other sites, and have no issues with any site other than this one. I know of posters who have simply given up for good. It is beyond frustrating.

  16. Johnny Hayes going signals we’re bringing players in this summer. I suspect Jozo will be leaving as well.

Johnny came on as a sub and played well in two of our best performances last season at Ibrox and Rome.

    All the best, Johnny.

  17. !!Bada Bing!! on

Looks like Hayes had option to stay, but probably wants to play more, good luck to him,a good pro,and great in the dressing room, him,Gordon and Calvin Miller away, saves £2 million a year,or Forster’s wages for a year, vital we get the big man back, another loan,or a 4 year contract.

  18. I’m going to the golf today.

I’ll play the front nine, then I’ll play the back nine.

    That’ll make it two

    Nines in a row!
