Scott’s career planning

298

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be delighted to see a Scotland team full of Celtic players at the next Euros, but it’s not my priority and it’s not theirs either.

Scott Brown did the right thing retiring from international football. He did his part for his country during years of injury but if he is to extend his time as a Champions League player he had to manage his career carefully.

I understand that he came out of retirement for Gordon Strachan, but EBT McLeish…..  That’s a different question.

Funnily enough SSB was full pelt on Saturday about the “title race” not a peep tonight

Although they have mentioned a few times that Broony has retired from international football for the second time :-) :-) :-)

  2. Sandman ,very good…….could you put the sweary words back in ,finding it hard to decipher asterixssssss.hh

  3. That Dons bozo that got sent off, how did he get into the dons squad? Best fighter? His baw?

    Muppet.

    Kenny McLean? Best runner?

Epitome of everything that’s wrong with Scottish football. Aimlessly running around getting nowhere. Note to McLean. Watch the new Broony…. ye’ll learn something.

I don’t usually come on here and say donation made, petition signed blah blah blah………….but

I’ve sent an email to Fleming.

I will let you know how I get on.

Game should stopped immediately for head knocks.

  5. McIntyre on Shortbread gunning for McInnes, as we have pumped them 10 IAR, nothing when the huns won their 6 successive games at Pittodrie….

  6. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

GMS looked to be the only football player wearing a red shirt.

    Mc.Ginn was anonymous.

It is to KT’s eternal credit that even though he was a bit short of his best, his effort and perseverence was rewarded by his goal.

He didn’t have a poor game, but, by his own standards, there were more errors in his game.

Ntcham is a class act and within a couple of years, at his rate of development, he will be in France’s top team.

Correct, all Scottish teams face SFA/SPL incompetence and its not just Celtic that suffer, in the case of the Astana game you cite, with a European referee, lots of general mistakes are made that could come under the

    incompetence banner.

A litany of dreadful decisions against Celtic, the denial of an injury time penalty at CP ( Clint Hill – Sevco ) and Sunday’s dreadful refereeing at Pittodrie weren’t just down to incompetence though were they?

Least not in the mind of many a Celtic fan.

Madden was a season ticket holder at Ibr*x for donkeys.

He is and always will be a biased hun.

His ignoring of Ajer’s head injury was verging on criminal and seconds can be vital in treating these injuries.

He took a huge chance on the life of a young player.

    Unforgiveable in my view.

I’ve asked Fleming if a referee who takes such risks should be refereeing at any level.

  9. In Europe normally, even with Dallas in Nyon, you put it down to incompetence on the part of the Officials if something goes against us. At the very worst it’s a perceived big club (Madrid, Munich, Barca) against a club from one of the smaller countries ….(us).

In Scotland it is pure, unadulterated, unreconstructed bigotry.

    Simples

  10. for ffs sake you ghuys, stop moaning and do something about it im 65 and had orange masonic barsteward referees since the year dot, you younger ghuys have the power now through the internet to make your voices heard, you all slag off kevj but he is as good a tim as anyone on here, please do something about it before its too late.hh.

Very true and the Kriss Ajer accidental clash of heads and potential seriousness shouldn’t be lumped in

with other general mibbery about penalties and the like.

If you read my other posts you will have noted (possibly!) that I am more of a happy clapper.

However, I feel really strongly about this issue

What are the repercussions to Celtic by complaining to the powers that be that our player was put in unnecessary danger by a referees obvious failure to stop the game immediately.

    It puts down a marker.

If you mess us about we are coming after you and what would you do without a grand a game?

If the club do nothing then it’s the back of the bus for you lot, but not for me.

  13. BP

I contacted the Celtic SLO JP Taylor about my concerns from yesterday regarding the head injury to Kristoffer ignored by the ref and the media, in the e-mail I also asked him to pass on my regards to him for a speedy recovery,he agreed to pass on my good wishes to Kristoffer, no comment on anything else, BR said to today his eye is completely closed, so we did not imagine that there was a head injury.

  14. Re Logan kicking the ball against Broony.

My memory aint what it used to be but I’m sure he has history of this against us at Pittodrie.

    Anyone else remember?

  15. PHILBHOY on 26TH FEBRUARY 2018 6:55 PM

Well done,I always put Fleming on record each time something excessive occurs.

Cant remember Logan committing offence at Pittodrie previously, but I do remember McLean standing on Lustigs head in front of dugout,no card.

  16. TWISTS N TURNS, apologies pal, just get upset when people moan but dont do anything about it, you and i plus others know where kev is coming from, congratulations by the way about your good news.hh.

The blogs have been saying for as long as I can recall that we are being cheated, it falls on deaf ears.

The only thing that the suits, suits of any hue will listen to is money, or the lack of it, same for the referees, take away the wheans of money they enjoy and trust me, the standard would improve dramaticly, at the end of the day it’s all about the money, be it at the top or the bottom levels.

    HH

  18. Awe poor wee Kev he’s just a misunderstood wee tim right:)))

Slags off the whole support, slags off the blog, slags off the players and the manager and then folk want tae greet when anybody takes him on at his own game..

    Awe diddums:))

Ah’m glad he’s got a wee pal tho’

    Nice…

  19. THE EXILED TIM , agree, if someone internet savvy could do a petition about the cheats, mine would be the first signature.hh. more importantly how are you and the dogs doing keep me informed.hh.

  20. Big Packy

    Thanks for the good wishes.

Ah no offence taken. Cork Celtic might be tongue in cheek with his comments but he’s actually correct. An awful lot of posters will ignore Kev , and I suspect even some who agree with his opinion, simply because he’s been beating the same song for a long time. Ultimately, even your favourite songs lose their appeal if you constantly hear it. So I guess he lost a lot of his “ listeners “

To be fair to Kev, it looked like he’d been changing his style somewhat, the last few times I saw him posting, which I think will get him heard by a bigger audience.

Still beating the same drum but to a different tune if you catch my drift. :-))

Lenny, Madden, and Fixture Chaos !!

    Mon Feb 26, 2018 11:21 am

I’ve been banging on about the competence of Scottish Football referees and linesmen for as long as I can remember, and probably so has Neil Lennon. Thank God Lenny came out at the weekend and slaughtered the personification of incompetence referee Kevin Clancy, I only wish others would do the same.

We saw the same incompetence yesterday at Pittodrie through the eyes of that well known Celtic hater Bobby Madden, although I certainly don’t think that Madden and Clancy make decisions because of lack of experience, or “Genuine and Honest Mistakes” I believe they make these decisions for more sinister reasons. Madden because of his hatred of Celtic and to keep in the good books of a Mr Hugh Dallas, and Clancy probably just because of the latter, no referee can make progress and climb the ladder at UEFA without the backing of that other well-known Celtic hater Dallas.

I have always said the time to complain is when you win, if you complain when you don’t win it is just dismissed as sour grapes, I sincerely hope that Brendan and Celtic make reference to Madden’s contribution yesterday at Aberdeen. First of all you would say he called both red cards correctly, Lustiig got a second yellow for gross stupidity, and Cosgrove a straight red for assault, but he missed Logan (COWARD) attempting to crash the ball into Broony while he was lying on the ground, and many more incidents.

Madden even outed himself during the incident when he failed to stop the game when Kris Ajer suffered a head wound when he clashed with Jozo. When the Celtic supporters were singing “We know you’re a Hvn” he responding by raising his arm a couple of times, and eventually turning to face the Celtic support as if to agree with that and face them down.

I wonder if the Compliance Officer Tony McGlennan will do something this morning about serial offender Logan, he has a long history of getting involved in mischief when Celtic batter Aberdeen. Or is McGlennan really busy still deciding what to do about the awarding illegally of a UEFA licence to Oldco Rangers? He has had five months to study the evidence, all the evidence is already available through the Resolution 12 Bhoys, or the High Court minutes from the Craig Whyte trial, so to wait five months with absolutely No Comment whatsoever is criminal in itself, and “Gross Imcompitence”.

Supporters of all clubs can help to give Mr McGlennan a shove in the right direction by signing the petition below. Remember, this is not a Celtic v Oldco argument, although Celtic were the club most affected by the decision in the loss of European income, this is a case of Oldco/SFA versus the rest of Scottish Football, so please sign.

A wee word on the chaos expected when we come to the split, one or two teams are going to have to go to Ibrox for a third visit this season, instead of an even 2 home 2 away split. Just who at the SPL thought that the top six at the split was not going to be Celtic – Aberdeen – Sevco – Hibs – Hearts – and one other? We played Sevco and Aberdeen away, and Hibs and Hearts at Celtic Park in the first quarter. Sevco played all four teams at home in the first quarter, was that to give them an easier start and hopefully they would amass a few points? Because it obviously means they are due to play the four teams away from home if they all make the top six. Corruption is Alive and Well in Scottish Football.

I keep saying it, the supporters of the honest teams need to wake-up and get themselves organised. Celtic and their supporters can’t do it on their own, but we will never give up trying, you are only beaten when you stop trying, and we won’t stop.
