Scouted, background checked and experienced, Ajeti should succeed

872

Negotiations for Albian Ajeti have gone on for weeks but as you and I have said often enough, it is important to get your first choice.  Too often we end up with a player from well down the list, who did not do enough to overwhelmingly convince anyone.  That is not the case with Ablian.

The player was scouted for a move last year before his ill-fated time in London.  He is known to the manager, who will have sounded out Mohamed Elyounoussi for an assurance on things that are not evident from the stands.

Having played over 170 games, he is also more experienced than many we have signed over the last decade.  This is why we missed out on him a year ago, he was caught on the EPL radars and West Ham made what was for them a cheap acquisition.

These factors make Albian’s prospect of succeeding at Celtic higher than most recruits.  It is a pity he will not have some game time this weekend; let’s hope he is fit for this month’s challenges.

  1. Richard Leonard he is one off the many in the Labour Party who would be best suited in the Job centre,Labour are finished ,they were supposed to be for the working class, not anymore, see The Daily Ranger up to mixing it again,Chairman of Hibs saying he would agree about points deduction on clubs whose employees step out of line,so there you go the media trying everything from Celtic going for 10

    GFTB- 2 up top…😜

    Yeah !!Bada-Bing!! 2 up top :-) :-)

Which turned our League winning Season around last Season 2019/20

After Christmas & New Year by going 3-5-2 so I would not nock it.

    It’s better than 4-2-3-1 & 4-3-3 & 4-4-2

    3-5-2 is the correct formation.

  3. I’m amazed we have won anything with some of the comments this morning.

Our system, not our players, is what needs fixed. Pick the players in their right position, drop those whose legs have gone and for gods sake stop dropping the team to the level of a Power or a Dykes. Let them worry about our superiority.

People wanting Ollie sold and replaced by Turnball are for the watching by the way.

Excited we might now play with a No 10 in Moi with Eddie and Ajeti in close proximity. Give the other 2 central places to Callum, Ntcham and perhaps RC, Tam Rogic (if fit) and prioritise pace and power on the left hand side next.

I’m neutral about Duffy. Plays in an awful Irish team under the cosh but is slow, not a footballer and I think better value when you combine his wages and loan fee. If we are buying him to mark the SPFL cluggers then what a waste of money that is.

Scotland desperately needs the Labour party / grown up politics at the moment.

Unfortunately they are still in a state of shock with few wanting to put in the effort.

Too many were shapeshifters who followed their wallets to the Nats / SG.

The shock comes from the ability of Not-Jacinda to apparantly walk on water and the fact that BoJo is considered to be a serious polititian.

Lack of confidence is an issue north of the border.

We can but hope for a new generation.

JF has been rank for the past 18 months.

Huge talent who isn’t trying a leg — well 90% of the time.

Stagnating at CP — better he moved on to other challlenges.

More complete player than AMcG but lacks his drive / ambition / desire.

Looks all to often like a wee boy in a man’s world.

    Shame really.

You must see Big Wavy, that 3-5-2, produces more positive results, than the other formations.

I would keep Oliver Ntcham, & forget about Turnball that is going back the way.

You must also see, that our Captain should be used sparringly this Season, horses for courses.

Broony is now 36 years of age, he is not exactly a spring chicken, & anyway when Broony is

not playing, we move the ball a lot quicker, from back to front. I like twinkle toes Tam Rogic,

however he is either not fit enough, or too injury prone. I would like to see the likes of say

Luca Connell given a chance in midfield, cause he can pick out a good pass. Also young

Dembele is not a bad wee player as well although he gets shoved off the ball too easly &

he is not going to get any protection from the corrupt officials in this Country.

I also like Euan Henderson, his elder brother was right, when he said in a brief interview on

Sly, after a match that he is also a good player. & He can also swing in decent corner kicks.

So there are options in our squad, as far as the midfield is concerned, however & you can’t

deny Big Wavy, that we need to improve @ the back.

Another easy ride for the Sevco defence if Dykes is indeed missing today.

Lets just concentrate on our results, & forget about looking @ other Teams, to do

us a favour. We all need to stay focused, on the matters which lays ahead.

& if any surprise bonus’s coming along, then so be it.

  9. Last I hear !!Bada Bing!! Shane Patrick Duffy is still a Brighton of Hove Albion FC

    Football Player.

So you are happy with JF’s current form?

You are happy with his development and the effort he puts in?

I see a waste of a big talent.

He is not being helped by the set up of the team but he isn’t doing enough.

We need PR back to boot him up the erse.

  11. However you know what happened to “Shane” in the old Movie entitled “Shane”

In the end, he rode off into the “Sunset” on his Horse.

  12. MadMitch,

James could do with competition but his stats on assists and goals are terrific. Our lob-sided, left leaning way of playing would have Ronaldo scratching his arse on the right.

JF, it’s not good enough, & you being our most seniour player, should be

The cult raped the so called working class from the inside by staying within The cult of Tory spending parameters.in 1997.not once was there any iota of socialist victory under his cult.not one repealing of Tory law.

    The cult gave us pfi.-

The cult gave us tax credits instead of simply taxing the rich and transferring it to poor but remember the cult was adhering to Tory cults guidelines on budget while righthanding the same media

The cult raped socialism from the inside.

The cult did not roll back capitalism one bit.

It did not roll back anything that liberalized or privatized previously.

The Labour party have to still deal with the cult.the marketing wing are back in charge after a true attempt at wealth redistribution policies by those deemed “crazy” and “on the fringes” by cult leadership.

The betrayal and memory of the cult is alive in our excluded and hopeless areas.we remember the cult. The cult was Blair.

  17. Complacency is not good enough, we a Club, needs to be on our toes all the time.

After all, this is a very important Season for everyone connected with our Club.

Don’t let this very unique, & specially Season, slip sliding away.

There is a chance here, to go even one better, in League Titles more than the

Lisbon Lions. After all it’s only taking forty seven (47) years to get here.

We may not win the Big Cup, in our Lifetime span here on planet Earth again.

However, @ least we can say we where here to see us go past, one of John Stein’s

Unique & very difficult Milestone to equal.

Hear the tolling of the bells—

    Iron bells!

What a world of solemn thought their monody compels!

In the silence of the night,

    How we shiver with affright

At the melancholy menace of their tone!

    For every sound that floats

From the rust within their throats

    Is a groan.

    And the people—ah, the people—

They that dwell up in the steeple,

    All alone,

    And who tolling, tolling, tolling,

    In that muffled monotone,

Feel a glory in so rolling

On the human heart a stone—

They are neither man nor woman—

They are neither brute nor human—

    They are Ghouls:

    And their king it is who tolls;

    And he rolls, rolls, rolls,

    Rolls

    A pæan from the bells!

    And his merry bosom swells

With the pæan of the bells!

    And he dances, and he yells;

    Keeping time, time, time,

In a sort of Runic rhyme,

To the pæan of the bells—

    Of the bells:

    Keeping time, time, time,

In a sort of Runic rhyme,

To the throbbing of the bells—

    Of the bells, bells, bells—

    To the sobbing of the bells;

    Keeping time, time, time,

    As he knells, knells, knells,

    In a happy Runic rhyme,

To the rolling of the bells—

    Of the bells, bells, bells—

To the tolling of the bells,

Of the bells, bells, bells, bells—

    Bells, bells, bells—

To the moaning and the groaning of the bells.
