Scouted, background checked and experienced, Ajeti should succeed

872

Negotiations for Albian Ajeti have gone on for weeks but as you and I have said often enough, it is important to get your first choice.  Too often we end up with a player from well down the list, who did not do enough to overwhelmingly convince anyone.  That is not the case with Ablian.

The player was scouted for a move last year before his ill-fated time in London.  He is known to the manager, who will have sounded out Mohamed Elyounoussi for an assurance on things that are not evident from the stands.

Having played over 170 games, he is also more experienced than many we have signed over the last decade.  This is why we missed out on him a year ago, he was caught on the EPL radars and West Ham made what was for them a cheap acquisition.

These factors make Albian’s prospect of succeeding at Celtic higher than most recruits.  It is a pity he will not have some game time this weekend; let’s hope he is fit for this month’s challenges.

I struggle to watch THEM (even with the sound off) but I managed five minutes and I would be surprised if they win. Moved the ball about well but not very dangerous.

I think it’s unfair you trying to “pick” holes in wee Jamesy’s performances re “man of the match” awards … our rebel treble and hopefully quadrupole winners have had loads n loads of players on a particular day that might have edged “oor” James out of man of the game award …. but batter in

Is there anybody watching the Hun game. I’m not but wouldn’t mind the odd update.

Hopefully no news is good news.

Yeah CorkCelt, no news, is good news, when it comes to wolfes, posting bills

through letter boxes, or dodgy phone calls with idiots trying it on. (scams)

  4. Just an update I picked up from a Newspaper article August 2019

When James Forrest scored against Motherwell on Saturday, it meant he had found the net for Celtic in 11 consecutive league campaigns.

The winger became the first player to achieve the feat since club legend Paul McStay.

His first goal for Celtic also came against Motherwell in May 2010, with Forrest netting on his debut as Celtic won 4-0 at Parkhead.

Forrest has gone on to win eight league titles since then, and was last season named PFA Scotland Player of the Year.

The 28-year-old is today being linked with a move away from Celtic, as the Scottish Sun reports that Zenit St Petersburg are preparing a £12m bid for him.

I’m sure JF will be awarded those recognitions, in due course.

Remember, keep our players on our toes, how do you think John Stein, got the best out of his players?

Jock Stein knew how to get the best out of them, by triggering each individual one of them.

    Only jesting …. but

Surely some Hun traits with your posts ? Why should it matter if wee Jamesy has had any man of the match performances …

  12. I haven`t got a clue what Ronnie O`Sullivan is really like but the guy I see on telly is not, to put it mildly, my cup of tea.

Compared with Ryan Kent, though, he is a saint. I just watched another couple of minutes of the Sevco game. It was a tough watch anyway but a close up of the horrible Kent was as much as I could stand. 0-0 as a final result still looks likely to me.

Huns havec4 sponsors on their shirt.

    Is there a limit?

    D :)

If there is, then no doubt the SFA/SPL, would turn blind eyes

to that matter, cause they need the additional money to get bye.

  14. I am no fan of Douglas (?) Ross, the Hun linesman who is now a Top Tory in Scotland but why the criticism of him for not attending a VJ thingy in a`free` society?

  15. Brilliant save by the Livi keeper.
