I thought Celtic played like champions yesterday. Clearly tired but raising themselves to be the dominant team. Take away the penalty and its a comfortable 4-1…
Nobody let the team down and was great to see the options and impact our bench can make when called upon.
It was striking the difference of pace and basic ability that Celtic face when moving between domestic and European football. Partlicularly PSG…id still love to see stats on one touch passing with PSG compared to other European super teams. Very few players in SPFL can do this consistently.
Yesterday reinforced my long held belief we need 2 centre backs. Boyatta isnt for me and the other two are sick notes. Id seriously be getting Ajer in and persevering with him. I reckon we need to grow and develop our own as we probably wont attract better than what we have.

I have to say, I don’t rate many of the Huns but, Candeias, if given space, is a good player. He can deliver a dangerous ball into the box. Tavernier is good going forward and can do the same thing, but thankfully, he is hopeless defensively. My prediction 2-0 for the Mothers (Moult, Bowman).

Yesterday was a feast of football compared to today’s dross. Could go either way but I’d rather have Motherwell in the final rather than face weeks of SMSM garbage and 90 minutes of neanderthal bile in the final.

He’s probably the best of our 3 CBs…Simonovic a better player but too often unavailable for me. DB best of a limited pool imo.

Auldheid,and Big Jimmy, When Supporters,say about the team playing crap,I can agree at some point, Gordon to Boyota,to Tierney,back to Gordon,so on and so on, that does my head in, eventually, leading to mistakes,at the back,and that at times ,is worry for a lot of fans.and it’s not once or time’s ,this happens,and it needs to be sorted out,

I’m not a great fan of how we pass the ball about at the back but it’s players playing to instructions.
Not only does it tire out the opposition it keeps them shifting to cover space which then leaves space.
That is when the risky pass can be made. It’s not the square ball but the forward pass at an angle to the receiver to then advance into the space created.
It’s not crap football it is the football that domestically has resulted in an unbeaten run of 60 games at home.
It is the football that saw goal of the season v St Johnstone and produced treble winners.
I console myself with that thought when the ball is being played around and look forward to the last 20 minutes of a game where, like yesterday, it bears fruit when we scored twice and missed a one on one.
That’s how we play. Like it or lump it and as Celtic do not lump it so you might as well try to like it.

We controlled the game completely and professionally first half and could have been three up.
Understandably fatigue and cheating took a toll second half, but Brendan has the players and the nous to make the proper adjustments.
For the love of God please look at where we are, ENJOY our football, relish our success and praise the club.
