In Edinburgh vernacular:
Choose to deny the League money.
Choose to keep fans out of the game despite an acre of empty stand.
Choose to allow clubs to harm the game without commercial consequence.
Choose to embarrass a national showpiece.

  1. so funny today …but I have a slight pang of dissapointment too…….I wanted to hump them in the final …bad I know

  2. One other thing…..

If we sign Moult, I’ll be looking for commission as I’m pretty sure I was the first to mention him as a candidate when we were discussing a 3rd striker after the Linfield game.

All forms of payment accepted ;-)(thumbsupthing)

Delighted we won’t be facing Soft Loans Co. in the final. Starves them and SMSM of ‘Old Firm’ oxygen.

  4. CultsBhoy- Last of the famous international PlayBhoys on

I was conflicted in the run up…half wanted Murderwell to win and humiliate them..the other half wanted us to pump them 5-0 in final.

Having listened to the pre-match chat..it became clear they held no ambition to win this cup, merely to reach the final was there marker of progress. So I’m really glad they have fallen short today.

  5. Afternoon all

Only saw first half and the last 10 of Motherwell’s game . They look a decent side and it will be a good final against them although they might freeze. Just another big game to look forward to.

‘Rangers’ really are not very good. Worse than a month ago if that is possible.

    Slainte!

Oh dear. That wasn’t the plan, was it? Hope Dave enjoyed the game.

Poor Roddy on R5 sounding a bit glum.

What do you do when there are only two outcomes (win or win) and you lose?

    Busy night for Jim…..

  7. Pedro’s interview…

I thought Sutton’s comment about Tina Turner would be the funniest thing I saw today

And what about Caixnha ?……the smsm constantly tell us “Pedro is a really nice man”……by all accounts ( and I haven’t seen any of it), he wasn’t very nice today

*He’s just like his carolina down in Manchester Big Jimmy, sleekit. Any fckr who smiles ALL the time, even when losing, has to be watched.

    ————–

Would Moult be a good signing?

I’ve not seen much of him.

Is he having a ‘Darren Jackson period’, i.e. a decent player, but us he really good enough for us?

Might be good backup, at the least.

I really don’t know. One sad recollection about Jackson, was hearing some boos when he once came on for us as a sub.

  10. Dundee manager Neil McCann has criticised referee Euan Anderson after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat by Partick Thistle, saying home Tomas Cerny should have been sent off for conceding a penalty that the goalkeeper saved.

*awe FFS next up for the hades job.

  11. Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe are always asking Bruno Alves about life at Rangers, the Portugal defender has said of his international team-mates.

*aye he’ll be saying its money for ould rope.

  12. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

The Spurs v Liverpool is only the second English game I’ve watched this season and it’s a cracker, only drawback was missing Suttons patter.

Forgot about their game till I looked on here, sad but expected, at least Sutton is paid to follow follow

However as was shown yesterday it was all about passing the ball back.

Not sure if stats are being used to grade performances but we are safely first, second and last.

    ——-

I mentioned this yesterday. The first thought always seems to be back. I get that we want to keep possession, but it seems like nobody even looks forward first.

I would actually exclude McGregor from that, as he always looks to see what is on before the ball reaches him. That’s why I like playing him a bit deeper where he has more space in front of him and can get the attacks developing a bit quicker. Ask any striker and they will say they want the ball played early.

  14. Don’t know the rules of whatever this cup is called.

But if cautions only applied in this competition then the compliance officer will be absent.

No way would Motherwell be made to face us without Moult and Bowman.

The Pedro tactic of referee intimidation has to be called out.

His freaking out and abuse at every call is ridiculous and no other manager would be tolerated with such ridiculous behaviour.

But even that clowns circus performance can no longer gloss over how dreadful a team the huns are.

  15. Glasstwothirdsfull – interesting moniker – not with that last statement

Why don’r you write to the manager and tell him how to improve on his record!

    Two thirds full – cheers!

  16. Well was that not great . The boy moult knows where the goals are, McLean ,what can you say about him .

  17. weebobbycollins on

Louis Moult is a decent striker…we need more than decent strikers…so not for me…

And another display of incompetence from the refereeing team…no cheating, just very poor…

Have the SFA fallen out with the huns?

  18. ZiggyDoc

Moult is a great striker. He’s been banging them in for the last two seasons. Scored two against us at Fir Park last season and two at Parkhead the previous season when they beat us 2-1. He scores goals when it counts. Sometimes his team mates let him down. He’d be a great signing. We’ve had problems with a Moussa and Griff being injured this season – Rosenberg. Moult would have made life easier than it was. It’s a position we need to strengthen. His second goal today was sublime. A player at the top of his game.

  19. GLASSTWOTHIRDSFULL

The automatic default of returning the pass when we try to play out from the back is limiting.

On Wednesday it was apparent that our players gave no thought to anything other when a turn of head would have shown them acres of space to attack.

I also feel that more than Brown need to show for the outball.

  20. Wee Bobby Collins

You’re entitled to your opinion but I have to disagree. Louis Moult is doing everything Joe McBride, Dixie Deans and Brian McClair did when they played with Motherwell. I don’t think I need to elaborate.

  21. Canamalar – I enjoy watching Scottish football. The winners today play us on a final. It’s pretty normal for football fans to watch other teams in their own league. I get the impression that you think that makes some of us morally inferior or not as smart or something?

But look at it this way – would you be as critical of Liverpool fans cheering on Huddersfield yesterday when they humped man united? Do you think that didn’t happen? I’d find it really odd if fans of other clubs didn’t watch rival clubs to see how they play, hope they get beat etc etc

For me personally the best thing about today was not having to play them in a final so they can’t indulge their ‘old firm’ bigotry stuff.

But then I’m morally inferior and intellectually challenged it would seem so what would I know…..

  22. I’ve not seen a great deal of Moult but was very impressed with him when we played them last season when we won 4-3 after a cracking game.

Moult scored two goals, one of which was a superb lob volley over Craig Gordon.
