At least the Sevco v Motherwell encounter had some relevance to Celtic.
Best thing about today’s result, okay second best thing. Big Sutton’s ragdolling of McCall and McCoist was the best, is the fact that we do not have 4weeks of Old F@€m bollocks to listen to.

He was my favourite player. I actually became a Motherwell supporter when I was a kid because my Da wouldn’t let me go to Celtic Park by myself when I was young. Joe was brilliant in a very ordinary Motherwell team. When Joe signed for Celtic and I was at secondary school I changed my allegiance and the oul fella relented and let me go to the games with my high school pals.
Watched that game today. Dearie me, they are dreadful. We could actually take 6 or 7 off them if Pedro remains in charge.
The genius that is BFDJ and I only slightly paraphrase, “Before today I think a lot of fans were 50/50 in favour of Pedro but after today I think that’s now gone the other way”.

One of my favourite teams to watch was Arsenal 2002-04. They liked to keep the ball, but their first thought was always to try and get it forward. It could go box to box in two or three passes. Devastating at times.

So far, Sportscene have been showing only the league games. Can they not show highlights of the League Cup semis or are they trying to ignore today’s result?
The Bowman one looks worse than it is. It’s a yellow but you need to use your elbow for leverage. On the first look there is nothing in it but it looks bad on the slow motion.
