SFA and Sevco agree on embargo

This evening we received clarity on two items first reported here and on several other locations months ago.  Sevco have accepted the 12 month player registration embargo handed down by Lord Carloway’s Appellate Tribunal as a condition of their application for membership of the SFA, while Fifa have granted four former Rangers players permission to sign for new clubs.

The SFA, under president Campbell Ogilvie, took every step possible to alert Sevco that if they did not accept the transfer embargo a more severe penalty would be imposed on Rangers, whose licence they are trying to acquire.  Hopes of “elimination” from the Scottish Cup as an alternative punishment were based on false logic, and were also just silly.

Sevco disputed the embargo, hoping the SFA would offer to set it aside, as it tried to set-aside so many other rules to accommodate them in recent weeks, however, the best the new company could achieve was an accommodation to allow them to stock up on players over the next five weeks in order to off-set the effects of so many players ‘walking away’.

There is a chance this decision will save Sevco a second season in the SFL Third Division but there remains many hurdles for the new club to achieve before they start and complete a football season.

No mention yet of what the SFA and SPL plan to do with the plethora of other disciplinary matters due against Rangers, or how they proposed to prevent their own independent judicial process from reaching an inconvenient verdict.

    “We also regret that any agreement with the SFA appears not to have the support of the SPL and, as such, it still wishes to impose further sanctions on the Club for the actions of previous regimes despite already voting us out of its league. This is truly astounding to everyone at the Club who is now in charge of rebuilding Rangers from Division 3, particularly as the SPL are still trying to benefit from our media rights.

    It seems like CQN is stiil the mouthpiece of the board.

     

     

    The suits are shafting us, big time.

     

    Lenny has been asking for a CH since he inherited the squad, ok, he got big Dan, he wasn’t up to the job, he’s now gone, Glenda is gone, Darren O’Dea is gone, young Josh is somewhere, who knows,Fojut is not happening, so Lenny has to go with what he has, a feckin disgrace.

     

     

    And yet the suits are asking us to support them, well, I don’t have the pleasure of a season ticket, but I have the honour of being a Tim, and the suits are taking the piss, they are telling us porkies, they have NO ambition, all they are concerned about is money, we have an oportunity to advance the club to a platform in europe, they are not interested, all they hancker for is the OF again, they are going through withdrawals for the OF.

     

     

    People like me support the club with buying merchandising, well, I am seriously considering no more PL, get your act together, had enough of the lies.

     

     

    You either want what we want, or you don’t.

     

    I do believe you don’t.

    I ken that game it was when 2 polis officers tried to go into the row behind me and presumably speak to someone?

     

    Anyway the GB crowd stood fast, after the game the stadium emptied, and it was expected that the Gb would leave the ground leaving the lad to be spoken to/ or whatever, anyway the GB never emptied and actualually moved across a completely empty stadium, surrounded by polis who really should have known better (apparently they didnt like what someone had as a flag or said?), anyways no arrests at the game.

     

    There’s a lot happens in and around the GB that the Celtic support don’t see but need to be aware of.

     

    Things have got much better though with the total support of the whole ground during games.

     

    Message to all Celts.

     

    You all make it happen, make sure everyone joins in and HH

    Scottish teams over the last few years have been humiliated in Europe by so called lesser teams

    Belgium teams with 20,000 season ticket holders and less tv money invest in their squads more than we do
