SFA and SPL office holders in eye of the storm

682

Somewhere on an upper floor at Hampden SFA and SPL high office holders will be mulling over player contracts submitted by Rangers over the last decade, including for players still registered at the club.

They will compare what they have on file with yesterday’s revelations in The Sun.  As far as the football authorities are concerned, everything will be in good order if Rangers submitted these side contracts, which featured appearance money, to the league and SFA.

But, if the club submitted these contracts to the football authorities, they would have to declare them to the tax authorities as income.

It would be good to hear from some of the very vocal former directors of Rangers on this subject, especially the one currently president of the SFA.

This matter has nothing to do with Our Hero, remember, who is currently drawing fire away from those who put Rangers into danger in the first place, however, Mr Whyte is wholly responsible for the “public censure” issued to Rangers by the Plus Stock Exchange today.  The resultant £50k fine the least of the club’s worries.

John Grieg presented me with over £300 in the Ermiston club re a sweep we had in the office in the WC game between Scotland V Brazil. I gave him a knuckle crush handshake. One of my fellow hun workers spotted it and shouted. John, he’s a wine grape. I just smile, trouserd the dosh and gave a fist clenched HaiL HaiL.

  2. It is unlikely that the SFA got the other contracts and they’d have been extremely foolish to risk this coming out in the eyes of UEFA/FIFA.

I think the SFA will not be culpable HOWEVER, the roles of Bain, Ogilvie and McIntyre do need to be scrutinized.

After the Farry episode it would be foolish in the extreme for them to be doing that kind of practice and think folk like us wouldn’t be all over such a story.

Surely their arrogance and hubris couldn’t bring them into this kind of mess again could they?

They are the peepel after all and believe themselves untouchable.

I myself think the second contracts issue will not have appeared in front of the SFA and they probably won’t be in bother but Rangers are

heading for oblivion unless someone with very deep pockets appears on the scene.

I’d love it if a link could be proven between these guys administering the game and Rangers but I’m doubtful it will be. The questions should be asked regardless – transparency please.

Who was the worst hun? Dunno, but wee Doad McDonald shared a very interesting few words in the Brogue/Broch pub, Kilsyth, years ago. Souness was at Ibrox. I think McDonald was managing Airdrie at the time.

He came in from a midweek game, stood beside us at the bar. Started talking to his pals and saying that Souness will never do. “That man disnae know what Rangers is all about. He disnae know what WE are all about.”

I assumed he wasnt talking about Rangers’ world wide reputation for helping old aged pensioners across the road.

Rushed list…but still, how could ah forget the “beast”, the animal of animals: Souness?

    Unforgivable over site.

Don’t think i’ll ever forget those three tackles until the day i die: McCluskey; thon Rumanian guy for Steaua; Billy Stark.

Thought big “feed the bear” Aitken wiz gonni rip Souness’ heid right aff iz shewdurs…that would have been a sight to behold.

On the topic of Souness…I hope his stock is also re appraised post collapse..

Mark Hughes is a modern day Souness? He fancied himself as a hard smart player and is so conceited (like ‘Souey’) that he thought it would automatically translate in to Management but with every appointment he is being found out..ok when money is shovelled at him but not all that..

    on a more serious note..

When liquidated – what might happen to the big hoose? Serious as well as fun responses welcomed..

  8. Back again.

The script has got itself out of control, but at least we are back.

So what’s the truth in the rumour about them not giving money to Cash for Kids as well as the Poppy appeal ?

    lol..

Believe me I didnt want to utter the beasts name on here but couldnt help it. The man was a disgrace to football, how he gets a gig on Sky for the CL games is beyond me. Dirtiest player Ive ever witnessed, I’m sure there are others but he takes the award for me. Some of his tackles were borderline criminal assault, especially the Billy Stark one. Incidentally, cant get that on youtube, I think it breaks their terms & conditions for acts of criminality ;)

heres the steaua one though….love the way he tries to squirm out of it like the hun he his…classy stuff!

  12. Just tried to access the co.uk version of the site and a virus warning flashed up. A blackhole exploit kit apparently, whatever that is.

My apologies if this has been posted already.

Well done Rob on Clyde to-night, exposing Keevins for the phoney that he is. He cannot cope with reasoned, rational argument and is reduced to pathetic insults like ‘paranoia’ and ‘conspiracy’. Well done bhoys ! Keep up the pressure, especially on the S.F.A. The good guys are winning.

Well done Rob on Clyde to-night,

Agreed, but Keevins is a no mark.

    He is playing for time.

He has lost interest in the things that once mattered to him.
