You’re not going to hear a defence of Stewart Regan from me. The job of CEO of the SFA is clearly too big for him, this has been evident for years. But to be fair, the job had been beyond most. Anyone capable of delivering high performance at the Association over the last five years shouldn’t be at the SFA, they should be achieving at a fast higher level.
I know some great candidates for the job but I wouldn’t wish it on them. The SFA CEO job is for a hit and run turnaround expert. Make everyone hate you, fix a small number of things and get out. Of Scotland. Even then, you’ll probably fail.
Anyone who thinks there are simple solutions to complex problems should stick to politics.
We’ll see how effective the old media are at undermining execs in our game. My guess is more than you might think.

An Teach Solais,
When growing up, my son used to look out his bedroom window, before turning in, to watch the beam from the Aranmore Lighthouse.
He always found it comforting and somehow reassuring.
After having been closed down for many years, it was recently reported that it is being re commissioned, following appeals from sailors and landlubbers alike.
Ming,
Yea, thousands worked at Hillington and, like the rest of the engineering factories, it was a cold place for Tims.
My father was a poor, but honest machine operator and also a shop steward for a time.
In fact, I think it was the stress of the union work that induced his heart attack at the age of forty nine.
Davidopoulos ….
Think about it … he could even release an album ….. covers of 10CC songs, or something by the Loving Spoonful … maybe a song or two by Cockney Rebel Steve Harley ….
I will be appearing next week in the Catskills …
Born on the Isle of Bute
And attended Graeme high school in Falkirk, some travelling that :-)
Oh and currently earns £4m a year
Not sure what would rule Adam out
Money or being a Celtic fan :-)

A bit of history on Res12 according to my memory.
First. The current Res12 is about improved communications which we should all support. In fact as a result of improved communications it is already a shoo in. It’s number is concidence and nothing to do with Res12 of AGM 2013.
I have posted before an explanation of the understanding we had in 2013 of what an adjournment meant which was it was postponed but not removed from agenda as no vote taken.
Technically it is therefore still on the agenda until a vote is taken and only a vote will remove it. Now my understanding may be wrong but it was on the basis that an adjournment meant Res12 (2013) was being kept alive that agreement to adjourn was made in 2013.
In 2014 we wanted something to be said from the Chair but Celtic were not keen and we put out an update using the good services of Phil Mac Giolla Bain.
In 2015 there was more of a joint effort with something being said from the Chair and backed from the floor by the requisitioner attending.
This year as matters stand we have no idea if Celtic will say anything from the Chair or otherwise or will allow although that may change by Wednesday.
They are in possession of all correspondence with SFA/UEFA and more important the Conclusions posted last night sent to signatories to Res12 and the mandaters over a week ago.
My view is that Celtic have to speak on their position re Res12 (2013) or a request for a formal vote is made with arguments heard for and against the necessity of Res12.
That is what I would expect but am unsighted on how the mechanics of such might work and happy to be corrected.
Perhaps there will be clarification before the AGM, going into it without such would be unacceptable poor business practice and leave the impression Celtic have been misleading shareholders and their representatives since 2013. Not desirable.
Davidopoulos …. LoL! had never heard of him …. son of Ron! so cheesy, it was funny!
Neustandt …. I have Chelsea away to Middlesborough this weekend …. so, I’m feeling pretty good about that one …. well, good in the sense that I think that is a decent bet … not decent in that I feel good betting on the london huns …. but, better than betting on the real zombies ….. I have avoided that so far, but may be running out of choices if I make it through ….
If mike uses his noodle…..he will have a sympathetic Orecchiette for our advice’s….
Or he will make a pigs ear of it …..

Thank you for posting your understanding of the original Resolution 12 standing vis-a-vis Wednesday’s AGM. I wonder whether there is any way in which we can ensure that a full discussion take place albeit in Private Session. HH
Neustadt …. I haven’t picked too well/strategically this time around, so my options are limited ..
I could pick (home team first):
Killie over Celtic
Man U over Arsenal
ICT over Aberdeen
Sevco or Dundee
Palace over City
S’ton over Liverpool
Hamilton over Hearts.
Chelsea seems like the best bet, but any thoughts/advice welcome
Neustadt … I had thought about a Man U Arsenal draw… but Arsenal’s away form has been pretty good ….
I hear wee BGFC stole the show Saturday evening at Paul Larkins premiere
Great line that ….Tommy forgetting his bag in court….just the wee cleaner their…

I bet that you have have that nailed right on. Keech Jackshun has underlined the DR’s clear agenda and it has nothing to do with WGS or or national team performance.

Remember you can’t choose a team you picked previously, I’ve been kicked out for that before
When I said Team A OVER team b, that meant that I had already picked team B in a prior round …. so, I have already picked City and Pool …. so, cant pick them again ….
unless Davidopoulos has got some news that all Sevco players are on EBTs, which would be illegal, adn they would have to forfeith the points for using an improperly registered player … then I might pick Dundee …. what am I saying?! silly me …. (those) rules dont apply to Sevco, do they?
