SFA double down with Scottish Government

240

This morning’s CQN story on the discrepancy of how the SFA and Scottish Government treated Celtic, after Boli Bolingoli’s break of rules, and Newco, after their second breach, this one involving five of their players, illustrates what we are up against.

The SFA took 18 days to ban Bolingoli, whereas with Tavernier injured and a ban-awaiting Patterson the only remaining right back, the Association took 45 days to respond and issue their bans.

Nicola Sturgeon took to the podium to express her anger when postponing two Celtic games following the Bolingoli incident, whereas she had a Government spokesperson “commend” Newco for swiftly acting at their first incident.  The second Newco incident saw the First Minister talk only about her ambivalence to “Celtic and Rangers [sic.]”.

If she does not see the disconnect between her words and actions it speaks volumes of what she is prepared to overlook.  I am not a fan.

that night, my feelings for the team really started to change. I told the story before.

I felt in the wrong movie.

We were in the celtic end, the irish had a big traveeling support who had taken over the east end during the day, and were in fine voice, but booed down everytime they started up, the anthem got it as well. Aitken was as much a target for the huns in the crowd as was mcstay who came on later, Houghton bizarelly got even more of it, being a castlemilk turncoat,

The sash was started several times.

the game was i am sure one of the worst ever, no shots, no corners, no stats at all.

We had a bit of a rammy in the car park with scots givin it “up to their knees”, and then another battle on the bus as older ones worked out we were Port tims.

I still want the scots to win tonight for the celts involved, i just dont feel bad when they get beat.

Inside i was happy the irish held on through the game, and was

Expectation is that with a fair wind the new manager will be announced within a couple of weeks. Also expect the club to show recognition to fans who have renewed their season tickets this year and not had the value they deserve. Ignore those stoking the fire for personal gain.

He replaced the failure that was Congerton .

I don’t care what title the are given .

We need to employ someone who is a far better judge of a player that the last two failures.

  21. Decent performance from Scotland to put us second in the group. Che Adams justified being first choice, not just for his goal, but for his work rate and effort to interact with other players. Need to forget about the World Cup for a while, with the Euros this summer. Back to club football and a Scottish Cup tie against Falkirk on Saturday night. In Big Billy’s final season we still managed to win both the League Cup and the Scottish Cup, meaning we went from 1964-65 to 1974-1975 with at least one trophy every season. Lets see if Scott Brown can go out on a high.
