SFA-Ogilvie statement of inaction while SPL split looms

687

SFA president, Campbell Ogilvie, today issued a statement through the SFA website amid a growing clamour for action over the on-going controversy over the alleged improper registration of players at Rangers during the time he was company/general secretary and director.

It will be an enormous disappointment to the BBC journalist who gave him solid backing only yesterday, to hear the president admit that he benefited from the now-infamous Employee Benefit Trust (EBT) scheme, however, this will not be news to any of you.  Without wanting to be cynical, this feels like we are being fed a completely irrelevant headline while the real matter at hand was yet again not addressed.  Perhaps we should be grateful the gratuitous but irrelevant headline didn’t involve the Krankies.

Ogilvie completely refused to acknowledge or address the question of improper registration of players, instead referring to an incomplete list of his duties at Rangers.

The SPL split will happen in 25 days at which point fixtures will be arranged for the top and bottom six in the league.  This issue has to be investigated, reported and perhaps appealed all the way to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, before then.  Kilmarnock, Aberdeen and St Mirren are currently battling for seventh place, if it was found that Rangers played improperly registered players this season, they could stand to lose enough points to demote them to the bottom half of the table.

The SFA cannot continue to sleep on the job.  While Ogilvie’s position as president is important, he is a sideshow to enabling Scottish football to finish the season on time.

The SFA, the SPL, the game itself is in enormous crisis. Michel Platini, where are you? How bad does it need to get before you get involved?

You´re probably quite right exiled.Whatever rocks your boat my friend.

Long as we all love Celtic.

  2. It’s like Custer’s Last Stand – they persist in engaging in a fight which they can’t win due to a wayward belief in their own supremacy.

Internet bampots? What a terrible and pathetic way to describe someone with a different opinion.

Bampots do have access to internet – we’ve all seen cut and paste from follow follow.

The vast majority of users are just people with an opinion, devoid of hatred, who just want to express their views.

Some, however, are very well informed and have important information to impart.

    Lessons to be learned :

MSM is no longer important in the wider world.

SFA and SPL no longer decide everything to their own satisfaction. They are only part of a bigger constellation where other rules apply – like it or not!

None of them can handle being brought out into the open. The closed shop is no more, they know it, but they are not ready to admit it.

What is the saying – hope is the last thing to disapear? Even for the hopeless, apparently.

    Cheers

    Alex

    Aye Celtic are what matters.

I must admit though I, like many others am obsessed with the cheating huns.

We have all know for years that they have had the sfa and the referees in their pockets, and we still have contributed to a corrupt game in the knowledge that we really only had to overcome the referees.

It now looks like we were wrong, not only the referees, but they have been defrauding their Queenie, what feckin chance did we have, pure scum, every last one of them.

    Work in the morning.

Take care and god bless Timland

So after 140 years of hunscumbagmanship we somehow expect that even now there will be fair play and justice in Scotland? That the SFA and SPL will do the right thing. SPL split on the horizon or whatever. There is no distinction in my mind, the SFA and Rangers are the same hun scum bags.

Rangers are in administration only because there was nothing the hun scumbags could do to prevent it any longer. They should have been in administration years ago.

The SFA dont know their own rules? No they do but dont want to apply them to their hun colleagues in arms.

I have always maintained that the SFA are a hun pension plan. I think this assertion has been proved repeatedly in yours and my lifetime. Ogilvie has been caught “red handed” (pardon the wee pun) with his genitals in both hun cookie jars. However, somehow “vows” to continue as if the external cause of hunscumbagmanship was not of their own making?

As if it were a Khmer Rouge tactical attack or something. Its nothing but their blinded bigotry and hatred of Celtic that’s got them in this pickle.

The only reason they are in this situation today is because they cheated the UK tax man, the only non hun organization in the equation. Its all about cheating. Its the nature of the beast. The only way Platini will get involved is if

HRMC redirect 75 mill in their direction. FIFA. Forget it. So we are left with the remnant collection of hun phillistines left to do the right thing in the best wee country in the wuurruld.. Is not going to happen. The only way justice will occur here is if Celtic let them analize each other to death. Lets hope all the orifi in question get ripped

  9. Some of the quote’s mentioned- blow Murray’s Moonbeams that he was #duped – out of the water……

The Takeover commitee had serious questions about Whyte, but Murray was fooled?????????

I know a lot of people aren’t for boycotts but I feel this is our only option.

RFC(IA?) were under pressure, at the time they signed Judas, from UEFA regarding their sectarian signing policy. My opinion would be that Souness was more behind the breaking of the non signing of RC’s policy.

I’m not sure how many catholics from Eire they’ve signed !!

  13. Souness wanted to sign catholics and murray never objected. He is from the east banking elite. Murray couldn’t give a feck about a scummy pleb tribe like the OO- the OO has always been a working class and now an underclass disenfranchised movement. To people like murray souness et al it is an irrelevance. They panter to it if it gives them an advantage or a profit.

I Admire you guys & I love you to death for stay ing in that nauseous country & fighting the hun.But I never wanted to spend my life in such a lovely country where I felt oppresed every waking minute.I´m so much happier here in España where we are welcomed.

  18. EBT OGIVLIE… (despite Chick Young categorically denying it) Ogilvie has today admitted he was part of the EBT scheme (there is no suggestion of tax-evasion in his case because, as a director, you don’t have to write yourself a letter explaining that those “discrecionary loans” do not have to be repayed)- Football player agents, however, are very different……

  19. The Lizard King on

The journalists on BBC radio tonight are clueless – Grant and English. And Chick Young last night – they don’t understand the “EBT thing” and the “unregistered players” nor understand they are 2 separate considerations. Either that or it is more deflection and avoidance.

There is simply no will to investigate.

  20. So wee Chico stated just over24 hours ago that his “investigation”showed CO had nothing to do with EBT,s !!

Fastforward 24 hours and wee Chico states CO had an EBT but did not administer them ! FFS.

The so called sports media in this country are one sad lot with an agenda they just

    cant hide.

  21. I take no credit for this as it was a text from a mhate but i thought i’d share it.

Celtic are 12 wins,at three different age groups, away from winning every domestic honour available:

5 first team for 3 cups

    6 U19’s for 2 cups

    1 U17s for 1 cup

    Makes me feel good that.
