Based on the estimates of the Chief Scientific Advisor of the actual (not confirmed) number of carriers in the country right now, and allowing for the current daily increase, we could expect between 10 and 20 carriers at Ibrox on Sunday.
Those carriers shout and sing, projecting their breath particles several meters into the vicinity of dozens of people each. When goals are scored, fans embrace, heartily. Everyone touches their face. Football games on this scale, where goals are celebrated, would rattle coronavirus through the population quicker than any other gathering. More people would die as a result.
The SFA made the right decision. They acted ahead of two hesitant governments, both of whom wanted this game to go ahead.
Let’s look after each other.
………..I had a piece prepared on the Adidas deal; maybe tomorrow.

Celtic Mac,
Unfortunately Eddie Waring has passed away. Don’t know who the sky commentator is and I don’t think I’ll watch it long enough to find out.
Sorry.
Just having a read thought this article. In all honesty, there is a very real possibility that the entire 20/21 season could be cancelled. In my view there is only a very small chance of any games being played before September.

Current competitions have to be completed for many purposes based on prize moneys for start.

Evnin all – if a match is abandoned after 70 mins (78%) the result stands as though the whole game had been played – I’m sure we have overtaken the % of league games!
———-
78% of games requires 29.64 matches to be played
We’ve played 30 in league ie. more than 78%
Huns have played 29 i.e. 0.64 games below the 78%
The fabled ‘game in hand’
Unless that fat one I’ve just smoked has impaired the calculating side of my brain :)
Huns to collect 2nd place money, and go into Administration
How are they gonna get the much discussed Asian £20m now????
Thank you for all the good wishes, much appreciated.
Been a horrible day. It started with the schools being suspeneded which means my wife has to stop working to look after our 7-year old. As the day progressed, govt announcements just kept coming. Bar terraces were first to be closed, then bars, cafes and restaurants closed completely, then a state of emergency giving power to govt to do whatever is felt necessary.
Now all businesses being told to close (apart from supermarkets, petrol stations and chemists. Tobacconist shops can stay open too, go figure).
The kind of day that leaves you reeling, punch drunk, wondering what the hell has just happened.
Take care everyone, prepare for it and hope that it abates soon. This is not a rehearsal, it is real and it is devastating.
If the Huns go into Admin they are banned from Europe for 3 years, no?
So if the spfl dont arrange to complete league and try to void the league does that mean I can chase them for my season ticket money cause I purchased based on playing in their league?
We all know there would be no debate if sevco were 13 points ahead and this happened any old excuse will do.

One of my best mates lives in Salamanca and he’s seriously worried about things. Good luck to you but I suspect it’ll be tough for a few months as it will be for him.
In my own business we are having orders cancelled, delayed or reduced by the hour due to the uncertainty. We have no control over that and it is almost certain that jobs will be lost as a result. We have employees who are due to retire this year who might now need to work an additional 2 years and the personal and business consequences of this will be enormous and that’s not even factoring in the potential loss of life.
Football is secondary at this time.
However, I don’t think there is any way leagues will not be completed as the follow on from a UEFA perspective will be chaos, therefore I expect to complete 9 in a row, either at the end of this season or in autumn before next season starts.
https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/18298976.southampton-football-clubs-accounts-year-ending-june-2019-released/
SOUTHAMPTON Football Club have posted a staggering £34million loss for the financial year ending June 2019.
This shows a £65m swing from last year’s accounts which saw the club make a post-tax profit of £29m.
The Saints hierarchy put this dramatic plunge down to player trading, with Virgil van Dijk’s £75m transfer fee propping up the previous set of accounts.
They feel as though this year’s figures haven’t been helped by their failure to find buyers for the likes of Mario Lemina, Guido Carrillo, Fraser Forster and Wesley Hoedt.
Listened to Leyton Orient Chairman earlier on radio 5 live. He spoke at length about how May/June every year was a lean spell for clubs and that reserves always seen clubs through to the start of a new season and new ticket sales etc
He stated that some clubs in the EFL will go bust if a suspension runs for months and/or there’s a delay to the start of the new season.
It’s a good job Sevco have that imminent Far East investment otherwise one would be forgiven for think they’re ducked.
Can you imagine how fat Morelos is going to get before the football restarts?
A thought that came to me earlier, who is going to pay £500 for a season book for games that might never take part, A huge gamble we are fortunate that we could survive 50 or60% non paying till they see how this is going to play out ,but I’m sure the majority of clubs will really struggle.HH

One possible beneficial consequence of all this is that footballers salaries come back down to earth.
Got a bit of a shock today. With the football suspended and being at a loose end for a change I decided to talk to my wife. Apparently she’s been made redundant from Woolworths.
Euros cancelled, early start to next season used to finish cup & league
Reduced number of 24 games next season (each team Home & Away)
13 teams start 20 / 21 after a short break
1 team promoted to & no relegation from spfl.
Simples :)
prayers for all impacted by this
Dozens more sleeps ;-)
Jobo……….
:))))))))))))))
SocialDistancing CSC
Champions only start in reduced 20/21 champions league
Now there’s a thought….
Hello again all you young rebels.
Well my quest to meet our furthest away CQN’r will end next Friday as
our big boat will head back to Melbourne from Wellington, we’re missing
out a few stops because of the dreaded lergy.
Been in touch with Tauranga bhoy and rest assured all being well we will
meet up someday.
Presently sitting in the beautiful city of Dunedin, looks so much like the
Edinburgh of the south as it’s called.
Not met any hoopies yet but i”ve still to visit the ubuiqitous Irish bars yet,
ones called ..The Bog.. sounds good to me, and a big pint of the black gold.
Good news is this, not seen any hurtin huns, handsome huns, ugly wans
new wans, old wans , or huns of any description.
Not been able to read back yet but i guess all football is cancelled or
suspended, if so wise decision.
Next post from Wellington, meanwhile i hope all you good bhoys and ghirls
stay healthy and happy.

p.s whats the difference between COVID and SEVCO?
Answer
Covid is definitely worldwide.
Postpone the Euros till 21′.
UEFA/Associations have jurisdiction to extended players registration period for 19/20 from June 30th to September 30th.
Complete season 19/20 during 4 week period in September or sooner if poss (still unlikely).
Cancel League Cup next season 20/21.
Season 20/21 runs to July 21 and Euros in August, start new season September.
Some positive ‘news’ coming from China that the number of new cases has dramatically reduced to just 15 this week. Of course it could just be propaganda.

PAPAJOE55 !! Good post ? Not many will pay up front for anything! At least until this Virus has reached its peak
An odd thing.
I generally confront problems with facts, and then having wrestled with the facts I come to understand the issue. Thereafter the problem generally solves itself.
This week I’ve confronted the problem with the facts, and having wrestled with the facts (such as they are known/reliable) I now think I understand something of the issue, and can see how the problem might resolve itself.
Generally once I’ve reached a conclusion to this process there follows a sense of relief. The outcome is now largely predictable, and there’s a measure of comfort in that.
The odd thing is that this time, this week, with this problem, while the outcome is now largely predictable, there is no sense of relief.
In fact, I realise as I type this loud thought that I am frightened.
It’s been a wee while since I felt like that.
God bless.
Shut down the hospitals, major source of infection.
Stay indoors, heat and cook by burning the toilet rolls.
My wife’s a nurse :(
KEVIN HUGHES ? Are you yogi’s son ! A lawyer perhaps??
Down in England they are saying even if the fixtures care not completed Liverpool will be handed the title .
