SFO, IPO, hell will freeze before SFA act

1068

An appropriate course of action when you are the chairman or a non-executive director of a PLC when a fellow director and, until last week, chief executive, has been reported to the Serious Fraud Office for matters in connection with the company, would be to immediately contact the accuser asking for full and immediate disclosure of information which could materially affect investors and the company’s trading position.

The “compelling evidence that Messrs Green and Ahmad received a letter before claim in December 2012, having received previous correspondence, and chose to ignore it” sounds like a signed-for receipt.  If this was received before 22 December, the date of Rangers International FC PLC’s IPO, it is of critical importance that the board ask for sight of the evidence, irrespective of what Mr Green says about its existence.

This season’s Third Division has nine days to run and it would inconvenience many if these matters were brought to a head before then, but the duty of directors is clear; they cannot postpone attending to the interests of investors until after the football season.

Lawyers acting for RIFC PLC should politely request full disclosure from the other party, without delay.

Some in the SFA may be tempted to attempt another Grand Plan to prepare for and accommodate and almighty collapse at one club.  Grand Plans don’t work in these circumstances; the last one led to the current Lawyers at Dawn scenario.

We await the SFA acting in relation to RIFC PLC’s claim that Sevco 5088 Ltd, a company Craig Whyte is a registered director of, is part of their group.  This is in direct contradiction to an earlier representation made to the SFA, and breaks a condition of their membership of the Association.

Current SFA president, Campbell Ogilvie, is a former Rangers director.  My prediction is that hell will freeze over before he allows the SFA to act on this matter.  The SFA shall wilfully ignore its own rules.

    Just seen your post.

I’m seriously considering giving mine up to if they try to get clever with the pricing,

    Gutted reading that letter there.

  2. TinyTim, what £21m? Has anyone ever seen the bank account with that balance in, have the Executive Directors? How much was real money and how much was loans, promises etc?

Like so many other things in this saga, no one knows.

Ibis is bang on, wee pub right across from it Cosgroves, does a cracking pint, good Tim shop. My wife and I were adopted in there one night when we were over for a dance at The Roddys, we were strangers to the bar for the best part of 5 mins. A certain wee man sorted that and we wanted for nothing the whole weekend.

    Good people in there.

Palacio, no info but perhaps the JS Upper will be closed depending on ST uptake?

Makes sense in terms of stewarding, atmosphere etc if uptake is less than 45K.

Makes sense if you haven’t sat in the same seat for 17yrs.

Not sure whats happening but hearing today that someone who sits 7 rows in front of me isn’t getting moved. So don’t think its full closure of any areas.

Some have said its just the back 12 rows of upper tier, not 100% sure.

If true it could be Celtic are doing away with the restricted view seats thus saving the £50 discount on those seats.

  5. Re seats moving, don’t know for sure, but someone posted earlier about a new improved disabled area. I don’t know if that is the same reason for all seat movements.

    Letter reads :

“The survey highlighted some key points of feedback and a desire to see a reinvigoration of match day experience……. To help achieve this we are looking at a reconfiguration of seating within the stadium taking place from the start of next season ”

    I shouldn’t really be annoyed though, as;

“The good news is that this is a fantastic opportunity to move to a better seat (I assume they mean dearer) within the stadium.”

My seat is not restricted view and I love sitting where I do.

    Cheers Celtic.

    Not a problem.

Castle Street is easy walking distance to the Falls, if your not sure of the black taxis workings there are two private hires at ibis use the one next door to pub.

Yep, we are going down to the TO tomorrow to see what they say.

Really not happy about this. With all the nonsense in Scottish football just now..Ogilvie, SFA corruption, LNS 2 contract cover up, etc, this ( although trivial to some ) could be the thing that makes us decide enough is enough.

Will have a think tonight an try to decide if we will move or not.

I will post up on here how we get on at TO.

I think the new disabled sections are at the 2 corners of the Celtic end, low level.

My seat is about 10 rows from the back of the upper tier.

Not very disabled friendly up there.

  10. Didn’t you lot read the small print?

“Peter Lawell regrets to inform you that the £100 reduction in your season book price was for your previous seat”

  11. agent craig “green and” whyte!!

I think they want the season ticket holders up the back, which are never shown on tv, down the front to fill the gaps down the lower end of the stadium creating a fuller bottom 3/4s.

It may be that Celtic are trying to structure the SB seat take-up to maximise the pay on the day seating area….don’t know, but anything like that should not be mandatory.

  13. Doc 20.06

They have stated that it was £21m.

You are correct that we have never had the detail corroborated.

However I think they would be committing a crime to publicly lie.

Do t know if your trying to be funny or not, but letter states a “reward of £100 when you renew”

Ie if the only seat available is a 700 season ticket it’ll cost me 600 quid. 200 up on last season.

  16. Che, £100 off my seat, £81 off Miss Docs, so no complaining here.

Also staying in the same seat in 209. I do understand why others would be unhappy being moved after x years in the same seat.

I suppose it depends how much it enhances the match day experience, whatever that is.

I would rather they improved the football, Atlantic League might do that!

  17. Doc

But your from the central belt and negotiated your own deal.

  18. Masty,if you’re in Cosgrove’s tomorrow night, take a 50 yard strool to the Fountain Bar in Fountain street.A nice wee session on every Friday night. I’ll buy you a pint. The Guinness is great.Don’t forget 1998 when the little Huns were allowed to kick off an hour before the Reds game to put pressure on them. Some things always stay the same.Young Caddell, the Crues player’s da told me Linfield had no full-time players this year, hence their third place, many points behind the Reds.

  19. Email gem from Brogan Rogan Hogan & Trevino this evening. As explained yesterday we are currently putting the finishing touches to the first ever CQN Book – WILLIE WALLACE -Heart of a Lion which will be out in May. I suggested to the bold BRH&T that the matter under discussion today was maybe evidence of the beginning of the biscuit tin. Here is his reply. Pure class and too good not to share!

“Well it is certainly evidence of the biscuit tin mentality— although there is evidence that the biscuit tin era was already well under way. I know that Robert Kelly was very keen in hiding things that he had agreed to pay for and did pay for —– because he did not want to give the impression of having available money.

Tommy Gemmell left because he had apparently asked for £400 per week— remember some Lions were on £50/week— and Stein told him that if he played out of his socks he would get £400. When Gemmell was actually the man of the match in the next 3 games– Stein congratulated him and told him he was now on £400– at Nottingham Forrest!!!

So we need to be careful — however Desmond White would not have given you a shock if he owned his own power station!

    He was that miserable.”

  20. dead and loving it

Hope so mate, otherwise any more than 400 it prices me out.

Anyway, too much of me on the blog. Back to lurking now I’ve vented!!

  21. bazzabhoy…

Moving me down to the front for TV purposes is not a good idea.

They put my face high up and behind a pole for a reason…lol.

    67Heaven…

Hopefully find out more tomorrow but they certainly aren’t giving anyone a choice, its pick a seat or they will pick one for you.

If my seat will be available for non SB holders to buy every week, then Id prefer to keep it for myself.

As I say hopefully find out more tomorrow.

    HH

  22. Bazzabhoy

Never sat in the same seat long enough to become attached to it

Although I know many who will be unhappy if moved without consultation

  23. Agent Craig “Green and” Whyte!!

    =======================

Got the same letter, did not like the way it was written, as you say do nothing before the 5th June and they will find seats for us.

There are 3 of us sitting together in the JS upper and we were looking to take a couple more for the young uns.

This is a very serious issue imo, treating faithful fans with total disregard, if I do not get any decent seats tomorrow then I will tell them to cancel the season books now.

    Thanks for all the replies.

Got a few spares for Sunday at Murderwell

Let me know if any of you nice people are looking?

  25. Moving ST holders without consultation

After the very generous reduction ….a PR disaster…and not for the first time

  26. Evening Celts

I think the most plausible reason is to move all ST holders closer to the park, the upper tier seats will go to pay on the day, kinda makes sense.

The trouble is the lack of communication is a mistake and leads to an us and them attitude. If I had to move out of 111 I’d pack it in, it’s the only thing keeping me going what with Celtic playing in a setup governed by a corrupt football association, haven’t made my mind up on that yet.

totaly with you that…nothing fills me with confidence in relation to any punishments regarding that mob..lns inquirey done it for me…overwhelming evidence that they were guilty of deception ..ebts..side letters..etc..and no punishment!! they gained every advance possible from these improper signings in scotland and money from uefa for playing in europe..wining leagues by deception and getting payouts as a reward for their footbaling endevours..makes me vomit at the thought of what they gained and we didnt..and other clubs also in the complecated equation.they will never be punished to the fullness of their guilt in this country.we can only hope that the city of london police.fraud squad and the higher tier tribunal give us some sense of justice to the biggest footballing scandal this country has ever known..my glass is always half full in how i look at life and i hope its half full of champagne if i am to beleive whats coming for that mob..i hope h.h
