SFO, IPO, hell will freeze before SFA act

1068

An appropriate course of action when you are the chairman or a non-executive director of a PLC when a fellow director and, until last week, chief executive, has been reported to the Serious Fraud Office for matters in connection with the company, would be to immediately contact the accuser asking for full and immediate disclosure of information which could materially affect investors and the company’s trading position.

The “compelling evidence that Messrs Green and Ahmad received a letter before claim in December 2012, having received previous correspondence, and chose to ignore it” sounds like a signed-for receipt.  If this was received before 22 December, the date of Rangers International FC PLC’s IPO, it is of critical importance that the board ask for sight of the evidence, irrespective of what Mr Green says about its existence.

This season’s Third Division has nine days to run and it would inconvenience many if these matters were brought to a head before then, but the duty of directors is clear; they cannot postpone attending to the interests of investors until after the football season.

Lawyers acting for RIFC PLC should politely request full disclosure from the other party, without delay.

Some in the SFA may be tempted to attempt another Grand Plan to prepare for and accommodate and almighty collapse at one club.  Grand Plans don’t work in these circumstances; the last one led to the current Lawyers at Dawn scenario.

We await the SFA acting in relation to RIFC PLC’s claim that Sevco 5088 Ltd, a company Craig Whyte is a registered director of, is part of their group.  This is in direct contradiction to an earlier representation made to the SFA, and breaks a condition of their membership of the Association.

Current SFA president, Campbell Ogilvie, is a former Rangers director.  My prediction is that hell will freeze over before he allows the SFA to act on this matter.  The SFA shall wilfully ignore its own rules.

  3. Doc, I make a point of going into TO the very day tickets go on sale for European games and demand the nearest available seats to my own 2, these need to be seats which are not season ticket seats, sounds as if this will become difficult to accommodate, not a problem if season tickets go up to 50k plus, but if at similar levels, they will have even more disgruntled customers being impacted upon, hope this was thought out, prior to asking others to move ?

Incidentally I have spoke to TBJ – 10th May is on

    Hail hail

  4. I can put it quite simply. My seat is very close to my family, not next to it. If they move me away from my family, who help to make the match day special for me, cancellation is on the cards. :((((

Celtic announce new facilities for disabled supporters

By: Newsroom Staff on 13 Nov, 2012 15:45

CELTIC Football Club is delighted today to announce that it is to undertake a major programme of improvements to its facilities for disabled supporters.

In recent seasons, Celtic has worked closely with the Celtic Disabled Supporters´ Association to ensure that we provide the best service possible for our supporters with disabilities. Following this close co-operation, the Club will undertake a series of improvements to facilities to ensure the best possible matchday experience for fans.

Among the changes, Celtic will create new elevated viewing platforms in both the South East and North West quadrants, to accommodate both home and away supporters. These will introduce an additional 34 wheelchair spaces for supporters and will provide all disabled supporters with greatly improved sight lines.

As part of the North West redevelopment, a comfortable new social/recreational area will also be created for use by supporters prior to the match and at half-time.

As a Club open to all, Celtic is fully committed to ensuring a positive matchday experience for all our supporters and the Club works closely with many charities in the areas of disability. The Club is also delighted for a number of years to have achieved the Positive About Disability accreditation, a Government-backed initiative aimed at promoting the employment of disabled people.

To avoid disruption, the redevelopment work within the stadium will take place during the forthcoming closed season.

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “We are delighted to announce the new improvements to the stadium facilities for our disabled supporters. We have enjoyed a very close working relationship with the CDSA, we are delighted to respond to the needs of our disabled supporters and put these plans in place.

“Celtic is fully committed to providing a positive matchday experience for all our supporters and we hope these new improvements will be warmly welcomed.”

Peter Joyce, Chairman of the Celtic Disabled Supporters´ Club, said: “We wholeheartedly give our support to the creation of elevated viewing areas for Celtic’s disabled supporters, as well as the improvements to the away disabled supporters area.

“We look forward to continuing to work with Celtic on this project and appreciate that Celtic are genuinely taking on board our expertise and knowledge in their design and layout.

“These improvements will continue to keep Celtic Park as the best in Scotland and one of the best in UK when it comes to accessibility and meeting the requirements of a wide range of supporters with varying disabilities.”

James Forrest was at Celtic Park today to announce this news, along with CDSA secretary Terry Tochel and Committee member Jim Marnell. And James told the official Celtic website: “This is a great move by the club and I´m sure all our fans will be delighted with the news.

“The support we get at Celtic Park is incredible, and you only have to think back to last week against Barcelona to see how important it is for the players. Improving the facilities for our disabled supporters here is fantastic, and can only help the whole experience for the fans of coming to the stadium to cheer

  6. Cowiebhoy, 10th May, your driving.

Seriously think it is worth discussing the point with the TO, you may end up somewhere you really don’t want to be for CL games, and paying a lot of money for it.

  7. Been lurking periodically all day.

Again some great thoughful posts and have come to the conclusion that the club and NFL will never be able to please all of people of of the time. However if they manage to please most of the people most of the time then we are still winning.

Used to be indecisive, but now I just cannot make my mind up CFC.

TET, I think I’m over until the 14th so the 12th or 13th could be a goer.

If your SOL is based over here I’d be happy to organise a game on the “man’s” course and take him out.

    No sweat bro.

  11. how dare celtic improve the stadium!

why are people so narrow minded? your there to watch the celtic

unfortunately some supporters will have to move seat, but I doubt they will not be accommodated in suitable location

anyone really think celtic would be doing this if they did not think it was for the better or needed?

fgs, our stadium is very much underdeveloped inside and out and will therefore, hopefully continue to evolve over the next 10 years to become a world class arena with facilities befitting our supporters and our visitors

All the lads, ladies and kids who put in so much time and effort to help that young Celtic Legend are Real Heroes. I think the amount of Prayers had quite an effect also. ;)

Celtic then announce £100 off the coming season tickets and the £50 kids ones are back as well. Bravo, although we will probably miss a lot of games because of crappy re-scheduling to Sunday. We will be buying tickets this season because the Club, I feel, have listened.

Sevco – an embarressing joke, the sooner they are put out of their misery the better, although there is no point unless the current structures are taken down with them – oh wait, they are one and the same. Not long now IMO.

There is always disappointing news not far away when there is so much good news. SFTB – I hope you re-consider your 125 day sabbatical. IMO you are one of this sites very best contributors, especially after a draw or a defeat. I had made my mind up to stop reading the comments because certain things got to me that, och it is irrelevant, anyway I think I lasted about a week or 10 days. ;)

Everything about Celtic, from its very inception, right up until today has been Fascinating and the one thing we have, and it is very evident. We have Rhythym.

I’m dancing, grabbing my sore heid and trying to get down to pick it up and some basturt stands on my hand and nicks it away from me.
