SFO, IPO, hell will freeze before SFA act

1068

An appropriate course of action when you are the chairman or a non-executive director of a PLC when a fellow director and, until last week, chief executive, has been reported to the Serious Fraud Office for matters in connection with the company, would be to immediately contact the accuser asking for full and immediate disclosure of information which could materially affect investors and the company’s trading position.

The “compelling evidence that Messrs Green and Ahmad received a letter before claim in December 2012, having received previous correspondence, and chose to ignore it” sounds like a signed-for receipt.  If this was received before 22 December, the date of Rangers International FC PLC’s IPO, it is of critical importance that the board ask for sight of the evidence, irrespective of what Mr Green says about its existence.

This season’s Third Division has nine days to run and it would inconvenience many if these matters were brought to a head before then, but the duty of directors is clear; they cannot postpone attending to the interests of investors until after the football season.

Lawyers acting for RIFC PLC should politely request full disclosure from the other party, without delay.

Some in the SFA may be tempted to attempt another Grand Plan to prepare for and accommodate and almighty collapse at one club.  Grand Plans don’t work in these circumstances; the last one led to the current Lawyers at Dawn scenario.

We await the SFA acting in relation to RIFC PLC’s claim that Sevco 5088 Ltd, a company Craig Whyte is a registered director of, is part of their group.  This is in direct contradiction to an earlier representation made to the SFA, and breaks a condition of their membership of the Association.

Current SFA president, Campbell Ogilvie, is a former Rangers director.  My prediction is that hell will freeze over before he allows the SFA to act on this matter.  The SFA shall wilfully ignore its own rules.

    Amateur front page on DR.

Two ‘Real Rangers Men’ gazing thoughtfully into the distance with great gravitas and dignity – a shady, non-Rangers man looking downwards guiltilly, just about to ousted as part of the ‘great cleansing’ – pathetic, childish, obvious and crass.

Would really hate to be associated with them.

I totally agree, I think alcohol should be allowed to be consumed at Celtic Park. Celtic fans are proclaimed as being a fantastic Support even with drink within them, Seville… I think a few got Drunk over there. ;))

Original Rangers go to Barcelona and Manchester – destroy the places.

This to me is a real sign that reasonable people will be taking control of Scottish Football again, SOON.

It is CRIMINAL what David Murray and his cohorts have done to Scottish Football.

    Evening again

Wee daft question entered my head about the CQN folk and our support in general.

I’m of distant Irish origin through my father, I am not a catholic and went to a non-dem school in Glasgows southside during the rednecks 9iar.

There were 3 Celts in my year. 1 of which was too scared to admit he was a tim till he grew up.

    Anyone else of similar experience?

I remember being no more than 10 years old and getting into a fight with an older boy as I was wearing a Lisbon tribute top, he called me a fenian bastard, I asked my dad what this meant.

He replied ‘in this country it’s just the way they are, an ignorance passed on as truth by those less fortunate’

He always told me every man was equal and should be treated as such, and that our club was built on that ethos.

I hope my son does not endure the same.

BGFC, aye bud, I had a look at the link. The best bit is that they managed to squeeze in a picture of Peter Lawwell with the words “bring back the bevvy” on the same page as their arse lick*ng main pic of the two main hun failures. Are they trying to turn big Peter (the ruler of of all scottish fotballdom) into a celtic version of ra Bomber.

My father was as proud a man as you’d meet and always told me that if I thought I was right then to stand up and say it no matter the consequences, I remember being young and being surprised at his acceptance of their wrong doing and attitude.

He was a Carfin boy and went to St Mungo’s during the 60’s, so he must have endured far more than I’ll ever know.

    Greenyin…

I’m in the same boat, I grew up in Toryglen and it was ok to call a wee bhoy a fb, as if it was part of being in wi the in crowd. Many of them are just copying what they see at home, its not their fault.

Those same people were the first to laugh it off when I grew up and gave them some back.

    I’m now 30. 6ft 2in and 14st.
