Shved here until 2023

201

Maryan Shved (21) will return to Karpaty Lviv on loan for the next six months before joining up with Celtic, where he today signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2023.  The winger spent three years with the Sevilla youth setup before re-joining Karpaty in 2017.

In total, he has played 38 senior football games, another indication that Celtic need to harvest them early, before they hit the radar of those with less-agile scouting systems.

Welcome to Celtic, Maryan.

  1. GREENPINATA-to be clear,we won’t sign a better calibre Off CH while we have the ones we already have?

I was joking about the red card bit, but, I was wondering if he was posting on Celtic Star or something..

he is one of the posters whose contributions are missed by me.

  3. lustig is comfortable at right back – but he’s still useless (great servant – legs gone). The dortmund guy is not the answer – we are the only club interested for a reason.

I’m sure he’s fine for Scotlands – I’m a wee bit greedy or ambitious. Thought we’d add quality, even if it meant paying a little over the odds, to give BR a chance in Europe. I have no confidence in our FB positions and I don’t think broony can dominate a European game.

    Macarthy type needed in there.

  4. Sorry TBB not a lot to add.

Still hoping the German right back will done before the nights out

It is a huge honour to sign with @CelticFC , I love the energy that the club brings and it has the best fans in the world. I will be on loan with @NorthCarolinaFC and look forward to developing and bringing success to both clubs.

  6. I hate when we are looking at a player and some twit says he’ll be ok to do a job in Scotland. Like the lad is shite but good enough for us. Jock Stein would have booted your arse down London Road and beyond.

But HH My friends in Celtic.

  7. I see Calvin Miller’s on loan to Ayr. And have Yousuf Mulumbo and Jack Hendry also moved somewhere?

  8. Sheffield Wednesday sign Dominic Iorfa from Wolves ( Right back/ Centre Half linked with pre- contract to Celtic)

BRTH is too busy fighting banks for some misdemeanours (legal action through courts in englandshire I believe)

I don’t think The Celtic Star allows you to post and also hearing some strange stuff from it as well behind the scenes, which if true would be hugely disappointing. Just to be clear, BRTH defo not involved with it.

Thanks lads. Glad to hear that BRTH is keeping well, and is just busy with real life.

    How are you guys keeping?

    Forgot bout Burke

    He is a good one

Hope all is good at St Mary’s:-)

Emerald Bee I think he could be a good centre forward too.his turn and shot before Scott Sinclair was deprived of a hat trick showed great signs.

    Think he could be important.

    Completely agree.

We should be looking to compete in Europe. If we are competitive at that level we will be easily good enough domestically. Leave the bumming up of Sevco to the MSM.

  14. Lee Wallace is better than the guy we are trying to bring in – ridiculous its taking this long. Fair play to rangers – when they see their player, they get in and sign them – no faffin around!

    Biscuit tin mentality

Before I get all the nonsense – I’m not expecting Celtic to blow the books – but we have a serious full back situation that once again has not been addressed. We can easily sign castagne if we had a tad ambition. He’s exactly what we need to add quality to the squad.

“CELTIC are delighted to announce the signing of Jeremy Toljan from Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.

Jeremy, a right-back with a Borussia Dortmund who currently sit top of the Bundesliga, is also an under-21 German internationalist. He previously spent nearly five years with Hoffenheim, during which time he played over 60 times for the club.

Joining Borussia Dortmund in August 2017, he made his debut in a German Cup tie away to Rot-Weiss Erfurt, and has made 23 appearances for the club, including four Champions League group-stage outings, while he has scored one goal, which came against Freiburg.

Speaking to the official Celtic website, Jeremy said: “This is an exciting move for me and I’m delighted to be joining a club like Celtic, which has a great reputation throughout Europe.

“I’m looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and working with the manager, and I’ll be doing everything I can to help the team to be successful in the remainder of this season.”

All good. Between Celtic, family, work, fatbhoysslim2019 and GG4 ( where Bateen Bhoy is doing all the real work), I am trying to walk 2222 miles this year to raise funds and awareness for kids cancer ( in memory of Wee Oscar, Eileidh Rose and so many other kids and their families).

Already walked 198 miles this month and so has MrsCRC.

I’ve tried to register with the Celtic Star site several times without success. Maybe you have to be in the know?

  19. Stebhoy is indeed 100% correct, McCauley, Davis, Defoe that is the way to go, build for the future.

  20. oh n btw – I bleed green and white – I just want the board to help the manager, back a crucial time in history and lets see what happens. just once! we will always be nearly a great team.
