You have to love the weeks of anticipation ahead of the new season, when teams can consider that just about anything is possible. Nowhere is this truer than at Newco, where the pages of newspapers proclaim the signing of some or other no-mark you have never heard of.
From a purely football aspect, the imminent challenge for boss Caixinha, to qualify for the Europa League group stage, is fascinating. Do not for a second believe he has been asked to lay a glove on Celtic, pragmatism determines this is clearly not possible.
After a season of domestic invincibility, there are a few in our ranks who believe our own imminent challenge, to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League, will be a formality. I doubt it will be. We will certainly be better prepared than we have been for many years, but you can expect to see tense times in Scandinavia, Easter Europe, or perhaps Central Asia.
Celtic teams with Larsson, Sutton, Hartson, Thompson, Lambert and Lennon failed this task. Peter Lawwell has money to spend right now, but he cannot count on a huge dividend from Uefa until it is guaranteed.
The Road To Lisbon
The Road To Lisbon team announced this morning that they achieved their target of raising £50k for Celtic FC Foundation, Solving Kids Cancer and Children in Crossfire. It is a breath-taking achievement by CQNers and others. When Mouldy67 looks back on his life’s achievements, this chapter will put the biggest spring in his step.
Well done to all on a fantastic achievement. Here’s a message from Mouldy (who you can still support here):
We r delighted to announce that we have now reached (& surpassed) a magical….

Best case scenario is the sfa are held accountable, worst is they arny.
What is your gut feeling ?
I would like to think that someone out there has a modecum of integrity about them to see that justice prevails, but it’s scotland.
Keep at them mi amigo, what they will want more than anything is you giving up.
HH
=================
SFA accountability is via the clubs. In Celtic’s case they are accountable to shareholders, all shareholders no matter the number held.
Celtic need to provide the signatories to Res12 (and other shareholders interested) an explanation they have obtained from the SFA that satisfies shareholders that their concerns are without foundation or will be addressed if they are real.
However outside the narrow AGM route there are other avenues for introducing accountability. Watch this space.

Was playing golf, just catching up. Canny cope with all this Roberts speculation!
Auldheid,
My brother and friend had an audience with Peter Lawwell last year around this time on that very subject just prior to the season ticket renewals.
They left fairly satisfied with the Res12 discussions but less satisfied the with the response to their questions on the LNS commission in the event of a positive decision against SEVCO by HMRC. For me both have to be followed through.

Yeah was great, we played Castlewarden and Newlands, both were good courses, the greens were extremely slick. Did the Guinness tour, Temple bar etc, also spend some time in the village near Citywest, Saggart, drank a few Guinness and met the locals in Jacobs bar.
Breeny
What was your first game?
Tontine tim

Definitely Newlands, Castlewarden was a bit of a brute, especially with a sore head!!
TTR
There you go then, I loved Castlewarden, always scored well there, never once played to my handicap at Newlands.
HH
TeT
Both were tough, we got the wind at Castlewarden which made a big difference, The 18th was a weird hole.
TTR
Newlands is better protected being in the city, aye the 18th, need to stay left off the T or the trees are a bit of a pain :-)

It seems that The Mirror ran a story that we were in advanced talks with Man City for Paddy. Several other news outlets are reporting the same off the back of that. Either the Mirror have a source or it’s made up speculation. I wouldn’t hazard a guess either way but i would guess it wont be resolved either way anytime soon. Hilariously the Herald are reporting that City paid £15m for Paddy and that they want more than that from us, whoever wrote that is hurting. Patience will be the name of the game here i think.

Email me on: nicpri28@gmail.com and we’ll swop numbers.
The blog is quiet today, if any of you are looking for something to read I’d recommend phils blog on June 1st.
It’s about his Lisbon trip and the letters page, if you haven’t already that is.
The huns in work today are getting a bit cocky again…. Strange peepul.
My smirk just eats bigger everytime the deluded dobs open their mouths.
Eats = gets. Then again. :))))))
Res 12 will die along with SFA accountability.
Celtic PLC have closets full of skeletons.
The huns will limp along until 10 in a row.
If they go doon the swanny it will only be if Craigy bhoy is found guilty of fraud.
The recordings will show that Murray hasnt got a leg to stand on.
As far as I am concerned its still Glasgow rangers that play out of Ibrox.
Anyone who doesnt bvelive that needs a twitter account.
Methinks DC robertson is got something up his sleeve on McBride.
Lets wait for another 5 years of total shite.
Your time has come today
Dreammaker you heartbreaker
Sin City Bhoy,
Will be done with the Westgate by then so no twisting necessary. I will drop you a line tomorrow.
Hail Hail,

Nice to meet you and Morrissey in Lisbon.
Hope your shirt fitted you – when I said it was slightly worn, I meant that it had previously worn by Jennifer Aniston who was not amused when I personally removed it from her as we celebrated Armstrong’s equalizer in O’ Gilens – surely you must have seen it :-)
Teuchter ár lá on 6th June 2017 3:10 am
I thought it smelled different.
ok listen.
I have a confession to make.
I slipped into Phils bag in O’ Gilens and he left in a taxi.
he is mailing it on to me.
it will ultimately be a well worn and well traveled shirt.
Thank you for the shirt. It was the only present i got in Lisbon. Much appreciated.
