‘SINCLAIR BRINGS QUALITY AND EXCITEMENT,’ RODGERS

COMEBACK Bhoy Scott Sinclair was saluted by Brendan Rodgers after his matchwinner against Partick Thistle last night.
The winger, bought for £4.5million from Aston Villa in the summer, celebrated his return to the starting line-up with a 16th-minute strike to push the Hoops to their 12th successive Premiership success.
Sinclair missed five games after suffering a hamstring injury, but came off the subs’ bench in the 2-1 win over Dundee at the weekend and stepped up his return against the Jags.
Rodgers said: “The goal was really well worked. We cleared the space and it was a great finish. That is what he does.

“It was good, but he should have had another one. That’s his forte, breaking through with his speed one against one.

“He got an hour or so against Thistle which gets more game time into his legs. He’s building up nicely now.

“You see his quality and how exciting he is.”
