Sinclair will respond overwhelmingly

563

I won’t tell you Scott Sinclair has not experienced racism until the last year, but I suspect it is highly unlikely he has had to endure the vitriolic abuse he has gone through as a Celtic player anywhere in England. He must be wondering what century he travelled to when encountering the kind of ‘people’ who celebrate their racism.

Yesterday his name and a racist slogan was pinned to a bonfire in Belfast. Humanity is weaker as a consequence.

Scott will travel to that town on Friday to play for Celtic, a game his team-mates will ensure goes the right way. What I can tell you about Scott, is that he will respond with overwhelming drive in the season ahead. Specifically, he will rip the turf up at Ibrox in September.

But like the rest of us you’ve got no idea what Celtic or SA will do.

Moussa Dembele is the most likely player to be leaving this summer according to the

experts so using your logic, why haven’t we signed a new striker?

even if I would like Raonic to win, it is still a pleasure to watch an artist like Federer … he obviously works hard, but he is so smooth he makes it look effortless ….

BSR @5:07 …. the answer may be in the transfer window itself and why most business is done in the last few days..

for example, teams know that MD may be available for the right price … Celtic wants to get the highest price possible, so deny that he is for sale … it is a bit of a game of chicken …

If Celtic go and buy two extra strikers now, it tells teams that are interested in purchasing MD that Celtic – who cant afford to have two surplus strikers on their books – are ready to be plucked, and teams will make lowball offers for MD ..

that is often why deals are discussed as a ‘one striker in, if we sell one first sort of approach … and why transfers seem to fall like dominos in the last day or so …

the real question is whether Celtic have someone ‘in the wings’ so to speak, in the event MD is transferred .. but, for the same reasons, they are not likely to tell you or me, or, to be fair to him, DHBHOY

  6. Presumably the Celtic Board/PL are waiting until after the SPFL Board meeting on 24th July to see if they make appropriate comment. Should that not come to pass, then it is imperative that Celtic do what is required regarding this farrago without delay, e.g. by the end of July at the latest to maintain essential momentum. There could be a case, in the meantime, for a proposal to be drafted for the next AGM of a resolution of “no confidence ” in the Celtic Board for failure to look after the interests of shareholders, and supporters. This may sound a tad premature, however, it is a matter of vital importance not only for Celtic and its supporters but also for Scottish football as a whole. Perhaps an element of “pour encourager les autres ” is apt?

Grown men fretting or even just opining about SA and the general alleged Celtic ’delays’ in signing players, is a pure waste of time IMHO.

SA is 26 and this is the most important contract of his life, if there is a delay and I’m not even sure there is, then he’s entitled to be very sure before he puts pen to paper, if he doesn’t then its hair today gone tomorrow for this Celtic fan.

These things are about ‘money’ © Martin O’Neil.

You’re right about Moussa and I would bet that nobody at Celtic knows what is a round the corner, and there is no way we’d sign another top striker to give us three. Griff Moussa and one other just isn’t on, given BR plays ‘one up top’. I would think BR has a short list of strikers he’d go for if the fabled £30M comes in for Moussa.

    ============================

Glad you enjoyed it, mate. It is somethign special.

However, no need for detailed directions on May 25th – as one amiable street drug-pusher informed us when we asked – not realising we were just a couple of blocks from the coastline and station – it was simply a case of ‘Hey, just follow the Hoops, my man’.

  10. It’s just thems it’s in they’re DNA, they are never happy unless it’s a fight or an argument, CFC should just ignore them, treat them with the contempt they deserve, feck um.

No different that they’r kissing cousins over here.

  11. In view of the recent fatalities after devastating fires in England and Portugal I find it astonishing that the authorities in the North of Irl can allow mountainous bonfires some up to forty feet in height be allowed take place in built up areas. I doubt if this would be allowed in any other European country.

See Celtic have made another big signing. I’m losing track of all these new lads coming in.

  12. mike in toronto on

BSR …. I agree 100% that it is a waste of time … but to paraphrase a line in what is possibly my favourite book (Le Petit Prince’) …’it is the time that we waste on something that makes it so important’

I figure that if people are talking about Celtic, it just shows they care.

and, at the moment, it is considerably less painful than watching my canuck boy get his ass whipped by Federer!

    :)

  13. So far it’s looking like…….

    Gordon

    Lustig Jozo Boyata-Erik Kieran

    Broonie ???

    Forrest Olly Scotty

    Moussa

Pity we couldn’t do what the huns do and play another three players, guys like Rogic, the Griff and a few others don’t deserve to be left out.

    Get it sorted Pedro FFS.
