We live in a time when conspiracies are more difficult to pull off than they used to be. Information is more open, distributed, analysed with that secondary analysis distributed in a way that was not possible when most of us started our careers.
Before social media, hundreds of incredulous Spanish-speaking viewers would have exclaimed, “He didn’t say that!” at Alfredo Morales Sky Sports interview and translation, each in isolation, with only their immediate family to hear. Back then, it was easy to get away with distorting news and information. That made Celtic the easiest target in Scotland, just think back to the daily distortions placed on Fergus McCann, which went without coordinated opposition.
I have done a few translations in my time. They are never published literally [“astounded of forehead” apart] as grammar and sentence structure protocols differ, so you have to fit the translated words into acceptable prose. But, inserting “They were saying offensive and racist words” into a translation when no such accusation was expressed, is clear evidence of one or more people at Sky conspiring to slur the reputation of Celtic fans.
We both know that Sky, the corporate body, could not care less about Celtic or Scottish football. This incident will be an embarrassment to the ethical standards of the broadcaster, which I expect will be sorted out by bosses in London, who would do well to consider Kris Boyd’s comments on Leigh Griffiths “mental strength” in the current context.
It tells you more about Scotland, our past as well as our present, than it does about Sky. Celtic might control the leagues and cups, but other aspects of social, political and corporate life have deep-rooted hostilities, which they cannot hide.
You will see every dirty trick in the book used between now and May as resentment festers at the gaping chasm between unrivalled success and abject failure. What they don’t know, is that these acts will only serve to unite and strengthen Celtic.
Stand up for the Champions, as someone around here was fond of saying.

Club Statement – Celtic Ticketing
Wednesday 5th February, 2020 at 1:58pm
Following our recent William Hill Scottish Cup tie against Celtic at The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill, Partick Thistle FC undertook a comprehensive review of ticketing arrangements. This was in addition to a full and standard debrief carried out alongside Celtic FC, Police Scotland, Safety Officer and G4S.
Upon the conclusion of this review, Partick Thistle can provide the following information for supporters.
Match tickets for home supporters for the Colin Weir Stand, which were being sold online, began being bought by away supporters. As soon as the Club became aware of this, online purchases stopped. When a number of purchases were identified as being made by Celtic supporters, these purchasers were offered a refund – a number of purchases were duly refunded in this way. The request for any away supporters who had purchased tickets in this way to return them in exchange for a refund was publicised via both Partick Thistle FC and Celtic FC social media channels.
On the day of the match, the Police created a sterile section within the Colin Weir Stand to house any Celtic supporters who had not taken a refund and who had managed to gain entry.
For the Jackie Husband Stand, which was to house away supporters, our ticketing partner used an outdated ticketing template in error. This resulted in around 200 supporters purchasing tickets for seats that were no longer available. This issue came to light around one hour before kick-off. A number of those supporters displaced were rehoused in additional seating set aside within the Jackie Husband Stand’s hospitality section. In addition, around 100 Celtic supporters were moved to vacant space within the sterile section created for Celtic fans in the Colin Weir Stand.
All supporters affected by the ticketing template issue were offered a full refund of their purchase price.
At no stage before or during the match was either Stand over capacity.
One Celtic fan affected by the ticketing situation made a complaint to the Safety Advisory Group of Glasgow City Council. This was dealt with at a SAG meeting last week.
In conclusion, Partick Thistle Football Club would like to apologise to all supporters inconvenienced due to issues with ticketing for this fixture.
Following our comprehensive review, we have now put in place the following:
The Club has commissioned a new ticketing provider, utilised from March 3rd onwards.
The Club will ensure the updated seating template is utilised at all times by the provider.
A physical check will be undertaken by the Club prior to every ticketed match in the future, to ensure tickets issued correspond with physical seating in place.
Tickets in PTFC sections for future ticketed matches will only be sold to PTFC season ticket holders, sold within the Stadium at home matches or to “Club Members”, a new sign-up facility that will be available within the new ticketing system. This will ensure only PTFC supporters gain entry to PTFC sections.
The Club believe these improvements will help ensure an improved ticketing service for supporters for future matches and trust that this update reassures supporters that we have responded thoroughly following the issues relating to this fixture.

Do you think Traynor and his ilk would silently disappear into the night if we gained independence? They would go from being a small minority in the UK to a large majority in an independent Scotland. They would be emboldened.
In the even that Ireland was ever unified (whether pre or post Scottish independence), every bigot unwilling to find themselves ruled by Dublin would decamp to Ayrshire and the west coast of Scotland.
Conservative governments in London will come and go, hundreds of years of institutionalised bigotry in Bonnie Scotland is here to stay.
Dropping Ollie Ntcham???
You lot bonkers?
You couldn’t replace him with 2 Greg Taylors…..

Thanks for that. Given what happened last year and someone posting links on Facebook to one of our games !!!
Jabba will create another faux rage demonstration, at the BBC or Hampden soon, for the hun hordes, as a wee deflection tactic

Good afternoon fellow Tims
Hail Hail guys! 😊
I live in England and I have not had SKY for around 8 years now, for obvious Celtic-supporting reasons. All my broadband, phone, mobiles and TV are with BT and I have loved their coverage to date. The marketer’s (sic) at Sky have not yet worked out, or see it as a calculated risk (pandering to the blue pound), that I not only don’t take Sky Sports, but I refuse to take ANY Sky products! (I also am not interested in subsidising the EPL.)
Unfortunately, next season means that Sky will have the broadcasting rights to SPFL games. So, what to (legally) do? 🤔…
Currently I stick it to them (Sky) twice (no football OR other products). However, given their so-clear anti-Celtic bias, I now want to stick it to them THRICE!!!
My plan? 🤔 From next season for all SPFL games I will subscribe to Celtic TV and simply wait until Midnight to watch the match. This way I can not only stick it to Sky, but will also be financially supporting Celtic directly by doing so.
I wonder what negative impact on Sky, and what positive impact on Celtic there would be if many other Celtic fans were to join this ‘Celtic After Midnight’ movement? 🤔 Perhaps we could even get CQN updates again after midnight?
Who will join me?
Yours in Celtic,
TB&F.
Celtics lawyers should demand to see the full unedited tape of the Sky interview.
It was recorded at the Hummel so Jabba would definitely be present.
I’d guarantee that we would see him directing the whole thing.
We would then have Sky, Jabba and that mob colluding.
Scottishfitbaw is a decent site for streaming games. Generally pretty reliable. You have to pay about £30 a year for it. If you don’t want to give Jim White and Sky any money, it’s an option.
” Do you think Traynor and his ilk would silently disappear into the night if we gained independence? They would go from being a small minority in the UK to a large majority in an independent Scotland. They would be emboldened. ”
I’m afraid you are wrong, the numbers for this just don’t add up, did you see how many turned up in Glasgow to celebrate brexit? Less than a hundred. My experience outwith the huns is that most people on Scotland are happy to live and let live.

Adi_Dassler…Sorry.
Still feel Lenny will make minimal changes in tonight’s starting line-up :
———————-Forster————————-
—–Jozo Jullien K.Ajer—————–
Forrest Brown McGregor Taylor
——————-Ntcham————————–
———Griffiths Edouard—————-
I’d be making a plea to Ntcham that we need his absolute A-game tonight. Give us all u’ve got for 65 mins.
Having Christie, Rogic, and Elyounoussi as possible options from the bench, is game-changing to say the least.

Yeah – one of the few criticisms of Lenny is that occasionally he can be slow to make the subs if things not happening for us.
With those options though I’d say he’ll not hesitate!

LIVERPOOL have emerged as favourites to sign Alfredo Morelos from Rangers this summer.
The £20million-rated striker claimed that the Champions League winners are “aware” of him.

Yeah, we came away from the Hamilton game unscathed. 4-1 in the end was comprehensive.
In many quarters Lennon has been praised for his substitutions in the game. But for me, they were logical / obvious. When you have Christie n Rogic, you get them on the pitch. And it is their individual quality that turns things in our favour.
Not that he is a pundit well liked by Celtic fans, but I actually thought Craigan had a point on Sunday. At half-time, with Hamilton down to 10 men. There was no need for 3 centre halfs to mark 1 Hamilton striker.
He could of sacrificed a centre half much earlier than he did. Sacrifice a defender for an attacking midfielder or forward. Instead, our first substitution was a like for like. Ntcham off, Christie on.
Is that the sensational story they gyuys were keepin’ secret?
What happened to the wee Alfie money?
gyuys = ghuys
RUGGYGMAN on 5TH FEBRUARY 2020 3:29 PM
Exactly, its not always, just occasionally, a change could be made sooner, give the guys coming on more of a chance.
A small criticism.
I think on Saturday Hamiltons big guy up from was causing problems just before the break and that spooked him a little and delayed things.
And talking of quality on the bench and obvious changes, thats why I’d have loved Paddy Roberts back, if Forrest isn’t being allowed to hit the byeline Roberts direct running at goal always mixed things up and changed the flow. But we seem to be doing alright without him!
HH
@ TIMMY7_NOTED on 5TH FEBRUARY 2020 2:48 PM
There are more marches talking place in Glasgow and Lanarkshire than in Belfast (and by a considerable number). I think those figures are more instructive than the numbers at a Brexit party on a damp night in George Square.
Just because you do not associate with these people doesn’t mean they do not exist. That was the mistake those living in London made and then Brexit happened.
And this is before you even consider the economic arguments.
