ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN admitted he was “delighted” to put pen to paper to extend his stay at Celtic.
The 32-year-old former Arsenal, Liverpool and England midfielder originally joined the champions in February as a free agent after being released by Turkish outfit Besiktas.
He scored two matchwinners against Livingston and St Mirren in his 12 appearances and brought down the curtain in his brief stay by playing in the Scottish Cup Final triumph over Dunfermline on May 23 as Martin O’Neill’s men sealed the double.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, speaking to the club website, said: “I’m delighted to be staying at Celtic for another year.

“It was an incredible time last season and to be part of that success in winning the league and Scottish Cup was so special.
“I’m really excited to be back and I’m looking forward to meeting up with the boys and getting to work ahead of what will hopefully be another successful season.”
O’Neill and Oxlade-Chamberlain were eager to be reunited and their wish has been granted with the first Premiership game against Dundee due at Parkhead on Monday evening, August 23.
The Hoops head out to Ireland this weekend for their first pre-season match against Shelbourne on Tuesday.
They move on to their training camp in Portugal where Oxlade-Chamberlain will join up with the squad as preparations step up ahead of the new campaign.
