So which journos were secretly being paid by Oldco?

622

How many people working as ‘journalists’ in Scottish football were secretly on the payroll of Oldco Rangers (or Rangers International, for that matter)?  Is this common practice in newspapers, did the Daily Record know about it? Wonder how they will play the news story…

Any suggestions as to who else might’ve been on the oldco/Sevco payroll?  Any ex-Celtic players?

Most of us have spent the last season trying to value Victor Wanyama.  If he goes, it’s important we achieve as high a price as possible, not for the money itself, but Victor’s value will be reflected in the value of the rest of the squad – and it’s important we move our player trading up the food chain.

SPL football doesn’t count towards a valuation but the Champions League does, and Victor’s five group games (less so the Juventus games) are the basis of whatever figures will be offered.

Delighted Celtic are hosting a charity match in September for Stiliyan Petrov’s new charity foundation. The player has undertaken a remarkable fight over the last year or so and is an example to many.

  1. italiabhoy,

I’ve not seen smith or sally on the list of the ebt rogues.

Maybe a search on mim would disclose that information.

Couple of tweets appearing asking if Deloittes refusing to sign off Sevco accounts. Anyone heard anything, apart from tonight’s tweets?

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I posted recently that RIFC were due to publish a 6 month report for AIM by 31st May. That report is essentially on the lines of full audited accounts, so Deloittes would have to sign off the report. Maybe they aren’t willing to certify accounts on a going concern basis? Anyway AIM surely can’t let this drift much longer. Can they?

  6. BT, I have driven abroad a few times now, but I get why someone wouldn’t, Mrs Doc might, but isn’t sure. Takes a wee bit extra concentration. I wouldn’t even think of driving in Paris itself, train in, then Metro(tube), tickets get you on buses for the day.

Going to Versailles, the Big Tower, and the a louvre as well, a wee visit to Champagne next week, it’s not far from here, just to stock up on cheap plonk.

Cannot see Italy failing to take some of the the chances they will get in the semi-final. Nigeria were in the match, for an hour, shame the game lasts for ninety minutes.

  13. Re Deloitte’s, I said that they would not react well to the talk of Chaals having their people in Leeds in his pocket.

Deloitte’s reputation as a world leader in accountancy would ensure that they would correct the impression that Chaals had saddled them with.

They are too big a brand to let some corrupt Scottish freemasons wreck them.

  15. SayNoToSameClub

One year after the football club founded on Flesher’s Haugh in 1872 went into liquidation, there is a football club recently promoted into the third tier of Scottish football claiming to be that dead club.

The real villain of the piece is the Scottish Football Association, which sits at the centre of a web of deception aimed at appeasing the fans of the dead club and promoting the new club by allowing a club formed in 2012 to claim they are, “the most successful club in Scottish football.”

As fans of all Scottish football club, including many decent and honourable fans of Rangers, we are up against it in trying to stop the deception.

All we can really hope for from the football governing bodies, is that UEFA will not credit the new Rangers with the old Rangers’ coefficient points if and when they eventually qualify for UEFA competition.

We have the cowardly and corrupt Scottish Football Association (who haven’t said Sevco the new Rangers are old Rangers, but have refused to say otherwise), the Scottish Football League (who credit Rangers with trophies won before they were formed) and the Scottish MSM against us.

All we have, or should have, is numbers.

Together, we can stop the deception, if only enough of us band together to do so.

Together we can make enough noise in Scotland that we cannot be ignored by the SFA or the MSM.

Together we can present the case rationally and logically for Sevco being acknowledged publicly and unequivocally as a new club.

Let’s not wait on UEFA, who will be guided by (at risk of sounding like David Leggat here) the cowardly and corrupt SFA.

Only together can we stop the deception.
