CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS stopped short of saying Celtic lacked direction in the aftermath of the team’s third consecutive defeat in a massively disappointing derby at Parkhead yesterday.
The champions had the ideal opportunity to get back on track and open an eight-point gap on Derek McInnes’ side with 60,000 fans roaring them on.
Instead, just like last weekend in the wretched display in the Premier Sports League Cup quarter-final collapse ay Ibrox and Thursday’s Europa League flop, a disjointed Hoops side lost their way and surrendered their 100 per cent league record at the same time.
The 1-0 reverse made for yet another painful watch for the supporters and Carter-Vickers accepted the team “can do better.”

‘TOO RANDOM’…Cameron Carter-Vickers makes a point.
Asked about what went wrong for the third game in a row, the USA international centre-back answered: “It’s hard to put your finger on one thing. Overall, we played a bit too random.
“I think that’s what we need to get back to over this international break, getting a script and sticking to it.
“The last two games have been pressure games and that’s when I think as players you kind of rely on having something to fall back on.
“At the moment, we just haven’t had the time to get that and that’s something as players we can do better in for sure, not taking away from that.
“It’s something we need to look at and improve on.”
Quizzed if he was suggesting the players needed better direction, Carter-Vickers, speaking to Sky Sports, added: “I’m not saying necessarily better direction.
“I think there’s a lot of new players, it’s about getting everybody on the same script and keep going.
“What I can say, is the group are together like we’ve always been and sticking with each other, so it’s just about trying to find that consistency.”
The Hoops now have a three-week break before the Premiership restarts with a match against Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday October 11.
