Soon the world will know, you were not paranoid after all

Tonight Sevco accepted all outstanding penalties attributable to the SFA membership of soon-to-be-liquidated Rangers.  They also agreed that if Rangers are found to have cheated for over a decade by illegally registering players that they will be subject to whatever penalties Rangers would be due, in order to acquire Rangers SFA membership.

Only a week ago Ally McCoist insisted he would not be party to such a deal, it remains to be seen if that they were empty words.

The Scottish Premier League will now continue with its inquiry into the alleged dual-contracts Rangers operated during the Sir David Murray era.  I confidently predict the findings will reveal Rangers did not operate within the same rules as every other club, since at least the last century.  The former club will be stripped of all league titles and cups.  Celtic will be awarded league titles for 2003, 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2011, creating a new Scottish record of 12 consecutive league championship wins.

Sevco will be liable for any punishment due for these years of operating with shadow contracts, the likely severity of which will reflect the enormity of the offence.

Should the First Tier Tribunal find that Rangers evaded paying up to £75m of social taxes, which is explicitly against Fifa and SFA rules, the SFA disciplinary tribunal will punish Sevco, the successor club now due to inherit Rangers SFA membership.

If you are on the receiving end of this, the future will appear daunting.  If you stood at Rugby Park, Fir Park, Celtic Park, St Mirren Park or Caledonian Stadium, when Celtic effectively or actually ‘lost’ league titles while observing the rules, the cumulative effects of punishments on a rival are meaningless, you will want trophies awarded to those who were prepared to endure defeat while observing the rules.

One day soon the world will know, you were not paranoid after all!

I think every member of celtics staff of these years should be invited back to Celtic park and do 5 laps of honor.

  2. Don’t know if they can but if l was a chairman of a SFL club l would want to check over the financial calculations. this could be a major gaff by the SFL SFA if they go bust during the season. l would also want to see the players registrations to make sure they were correct….all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed

Too many outside bodies have an interest in what’s happening and what has happened for matters not to get worse for the govan based team. BDO for one will make the next few months very interesting. This time last year l only dreamed that Rangers would be in this mess. This time next year might just see things a whole lot worse. I remember talking to Celtic fans on the train from madrid to Seville about ENIC and rangers financial problems so l cam wait a few months more to see the final outcome of this sordid tell of corrupt governance.

  7. Since all this rangers saga began,I freely admit to having loved every minute of seeing them squirm, now however, when I am reminded of the horrible feeling I had in 2005,it makes me angry,to think that we could, and should, have been spared such a painful experience is very hard to take.It beggars belief to hear them talk of dignity, wonder how long their manager will remain, after all,he point blank REFUSES to contemplate any stripping of titles, quite what this no-mark has done to imagine himself so powerful within Scottish football is something of a mystery,an ordinary striker who, despite a decent record domestically, consistently failed to show up on the bigger stage, and this is before we even get around to discussing his managerial prowess, perhaps it’s best not to go there, after all,we wouldn’t want to be seen to kick someone when they are down.

I was attempting to explain the diffrence between consequences and punishment today to a rangers supporting friend,( i wont call him a hun as he is a very decent human being), anyway iwas using Ben Johnston as an example, gold medal removed as a consequence of cheating banned from competing as a punishment. His response was the Ben Johnston knew what he was doing was wrong whereas the rangers players didn’t!

Not the brightest star in the heavens, my friend.

Lots of tweets suggesting that was in fact Angela merkel and not Paul McCartney. I’m still trying to see it myself.

McCoist added: “And there is no line to be drawn in the sand. Rangers have not been punished enough in their eyes and along with one or two people who have a vested interest within SPL clubs, our right to past titles will be challenged.

“They want what we and our fans bring, yet seem determined to strip us of every bit of our dignity. It has to stop.

He´s got to be havin a laugh.

The Hun and all her tyrannical practices about to be exposed for the whole world to see, sectarian policies and corruption exposed they will be slung on the slag heap of history.

Our paranoia is proved correct. These people will be shown for what they are. MSM , judiciary, Masonic halls up and down this land will be unable to cover this up.

People power and right minded thinking has won the day and history will be made.Apt that on the day the Olympic ideals come to this country, sporting fairness will now prevail .

At this moment I think of the great Jock Stein whose supreme management and unrivalled team started their downfall . They Could not stomach the success you had and their jealousy of the inferior Timmies success was a major embarrassment for the pepil!……..in their eyes this had to be avenged. Their supreme hatred for us has brought about their demise. As Bill Shankly said , John you’re immortal! Never has truer words been spoken.

Tommy burns. They had to cheat you to win , I hope you are looking down with a smile on your face. Tommy, you’re immortal!

A truly historic time in our lives.
