We seem to have a fundamentally flawed set up.
None of our coaching staff have a CV worth bragging about.

I really am looking at 3 to 5 years here. Unless Gerrads wins once and takes his mgt team to an improved league down south, we could be 2nd best for a couple of season.

An honest one. That article is the closest Paul will come to saying Lennon must go, and to me it reads very much like his also saying that board won’t act until an even bigger disaster.
Which we all know. But the implicit criticism of that suicidal course of action is most welcome.

Neil Lennon said we didnโt deserve to lose 4-1, as we dominated large parts of the game against a team who have lost their last four games (not against Celtic), conceding 14 goals in the process.ย But oh, Neil, we absolutely deserved to lose by at least that margin.
Our disorganisation is a marvel.ย Scott managing to start his jump goal-side of a dropping ball and ending up wrong side.ย Callum playing three onside.ย Kris A. not committing to block the cross (forgiven, trying to cover two positions), Chris J. attempting to intercept with the wrong foot (forgiven, fitness).ย Hatem reliving his Ferencvaros highlights.ย Full backs who are never back and produce few assists; there is no defensive midfield, unless you count the goalkeeper who feels the need to leave his box and play that position, just a midfield of nomads.
The team is a collection of individuals unencumbered by a workable strategy.ย Opposition managers have their game plan written: defend deep, play on the counter and put numbers forward at set-pieces.ย If we could defend counter-attacks and corner kicks, we would be having a legendary season, but we canโt, so everyone looks awful.
In sport, if you have evident fatal flaws and persistently fail to resolve them, you deserve every setback that comes your way.ย It is hard to recall a Celtic team that deserved to lose more.ย Let me give you a cheery prediction, you will soon forget about last night, as there is worse to come.

If itโs not a sign of impending change at CP why should it make any difference to you what Paul67 thinks?
This is how it will go for me, if Lenny is still here in January
Non game days hoping for change, manager, teams form etc, actually dreading status quo
Game days excited before the game, then boom, keystone Kop performance followed by delusional analysis from pro board and still backing Lenny and back to dreading the rest until the next game.
Iโll remember Lenny for all the good things heโs done as a Celt, the failures will be placed at the door of those that are ultimately responsible.
We donโt need any evidence any more that the plc couldnโt give two ***** about the support other than how much cash they can get out of us, so if heโs still here in the next week or so it only adds to the mountains of evidence.

The de facto owner is not a Celtic fan. He lives (as a tax exile I think) half way round the world. His favourite Club is a 9 iron. He bought Celtic because he thought he could make a killing by getting a move to the EPL. That has not come to pass and he has now lost interest.
Corporate structures, like nature, abhor a vacuum. The vacuum at Celtic caused by the absence of the owner is filled by the CEO, to whom events out with his control have been kind.
Those are the fundamental flaws that are at the root of all the other problems.

Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on
Hi all.
Thought I’d wait a bit before offering my valueless tuppence on the game.
At 8pm last night (GMT) I wanted
– the manager to consider his position
– all loanees (incl Laxalt) to be returned to their parent clubs in January
– the club to write off this season and start planning for the future
The 4-1 defeat last night doesn’t change anything in relation to the league. No SPFL points were dropped.
I enjoyed Auldheid’s take last night – I believe we simply have to get our best players back playing together.
Concerns if Neil remains?
Absolutely. I think Neil’s tactical approach is out of date.
Allegedly – Andre Villas-Boas’ dossier to his boss (17ยฝ years ago) called out the one weakness that Porto could use to defeat us in Seville.
Slow transition from attack to defence.
Gaining an edge at transition has become a staple of tactical thinking in world football.
I watch a lot of football. From what I can see Celtic do this badly compared to other clubs in Europe.
I think it comes from having 3 roving midfielders in a team who take the ball in to close contact high risk engagements – when it breaks down the onus is on just six players to set the initial defensive shield
– our back four (with high full backs)
– an aging Brown and a tired McGregor
But what do I know?
Risks in replacing Neil?
The obvious one – who (who was any good) would come in and give us a chance to salvage the season?
Not a cut and dried decision.
PS – I still have hope for this season.
Longer term? Big change needed.
Hail hail

6,000 adult season tickets need to be sold at Celtic to annually to compensate him.
What has he done to deserve this.
– helped SFA on Res 12 โ- as they screw us over still ; what would have Fergus have done.
– Aided and abetted RFC2 with 5WA as he reflected on the missing 10 mil ; bonus guaranteed decision
– Shower appointment ignoring all CVS so he had a puppet to control
– As a CEO of a PLC sat silent as manager was subject to horrendous racial abuse and attacks ; shameful
– hides as the manager who has mental health issues is used as a punchbag.
Lawwell has made Celtic toxic. A change of manager will change nothing โ- thatโs maybe why he puts the manager through the daily torture. Itโs criminal what he is doing.
Well Mr Lawwell we all know what you are doing ; the longer you hide shows your depths of cowardice.
Dermot has to step in and if necessary let Mr Toxic do the managers job as well
