It’s not that I had genuine concerns going into the game, but the early goal from Callum McGregor was a huge relief. It allowed Celtic to subjugate Aberdeen without getting anywhere near top gear. I doubt anyone exerted themselves, so we should hit the weekend at full throttle.
I remember first tentatively linking Reo Hatate with Lubomir Moravcik. What a burden on the player and an invitation to mock from every Celtic fan who remembers Lubo. We all thought the same as we left Celtic Park on Saturday. Reo’s second goal was gallus Lubo at his best. Perhaps the only difference, is the sprint Reo put in after nutmegging his opponent to get into the box; Lubo was more of a magician who leaned back to admire his work.
We have some special players in form at the right time.

You can buy a monthly subscription to Viaplay and cancel it after the game. After cancelling, you would still have the month’s access which includes Hearts v Celtic on 11th March, so you’d be getting two games for your month subscription.

Thanks Tom I’ll check that out
My thoughts on Sunday
The only time I thought we were bested by them under Ange was the SC semi last year; that includes the game we lost at Ibrox with a rag tag team
We looked tired and they played the thug card. Can’t have been Gio, must have been a senior player revolt
Hatate was bullied; Rogic bullied; Taylor and Jura hacked
Despite all that, we were inches from 2-0
We are a better team and the players at Rangers know it
We have a tougher and fitter team now; plus we have a bench. The bench lost us the game last year
I am unusually confident as I can’t see progress from them in performance. Results, yes, but not performance
Tom and Prestonpans bhoy, and any others living in the far east, I am generally interested in all things Embra, and in turn Scotland, so any local opinions is welcome for the chat.
I having being going to Edinburgh for 40 years, 4-6 weekends away for years and years, long before it became trendy, early days got hotels from the wee woman in the kiosk at waverly, lovely wee person, she is long gone.
Overtime moved on up the hotel chains to apartments and I just love the experiences over the years. Not a boast, i never pay full price for anything it has to be a deal or i dont book it.
Pre covid, and recovering from illnesses, my last trip was already 3 and a half years ago, at the chester residence, i got a voucher for a christmas sometime ago, and decided to go to the village hotel, crewe road (? why is there a crew road in edinburgh btw).
I stayed in this chain often on business, fine and ok for a couple of nights, mrs ss not so keen once we arrived. it does have the feel of a grown ups youth club, and it is family orientated which is fine, but different for us oldies.
as an aside the boy who does the live music top singer, the guy is excellent.
friday dinner not so good, ok, but no fanty, place was packed though, between live music, fitba, swimming pool and access for the weans it definately feels like a clubhouse at hoseasons. you can see how it works, and is a success. one at celtic park would work.
anyways it was good enough.
saturday went up the toon st james quarter, i actually like what has been done, i know it is contreversial but i like it, it adds something that was missing , good shopping beyond the tartan traps. the open air flow though, it will be interesting on a snowy windy day.
I prepared what I thought was just an ordinary omelette for myself . Now I realise I have had quite a posh meal as it contained two tomatoes.
BRRB
that was a Young Ones joke so blame Ben Elton 😎

A likely story. 😁

‘ Results, yes, but not performance’
That is my view as well.My only concern is the officiating.

PRESTONPANS BHOYS
We all in JS lower got leaflets explaining the plan and advising that we would be surveyed by the club in the near future.
I’m 70 in September and would not relish standing for 2 hours, so would be amenable to giving way for TheCelticEnd so long as I am relocated to another lower section.
I think it’s a great idea in principle.
===============
It is an interesting proposal Tom,i would be sure,as those who want to migrate do so,and the standing section increases you would have plenty of options, for you at 70 in lower tier.
I suppose if they done that the days 7,500 huns at Celtic park are long gone.

I have two dogs, they don’t get to see the start of the game. As soon as coverage starts and the camera pans on to the vermin I utter the magic words”C’mon Celtic, get f###### wired into these cheating c####”
The pupsters know that is there cue to go and look out the bedroom window and watch my motor(for nothing)
They listen carefully for the next magic words”Yess the Celtic” which signals the Smackeroos are on me !
I love the small plum tomatoes, got a big pack of them yesterday.
There seemed to be plenty on the shelves in Dunnes anyway.

Like yourself, I am fond of a Weegie Weekend in Auld Reekie but, unlike you, I am not fond of the the St James’ Quarter. I’ve only been there twice but, to me, it’s an exoensjvec wind tunnel
Premature posting…and exoensjvec was supposed to be expensive.
Was going to add that, if you get a chance, have a look at Stewart’s Aparthotel in Young St, complete with the famous Oxford Bar on the corner.

I’m actually going to Fishers in Edinburgh this Saturday, one of my rare adventures to the town. An expensive visit to the Dome beforehand not that I care as its a treat from the weans and I’m not paying 🙃

My Looval lover loves The Dome.
A wee quad of a Country legend, Glen Campbell.

Coneybhoy- remember that was the cheat Madden’s last game in Scotland, and the huns knew it before anyone else, how Aribo and Lundstram stayed on the pitch? I don’t think Lundstram even got booked, if he did it would have been with a couple of minutes to go.
Bada correct . Lundstrum , Aribo And don’t forget bassy , The 3 of them could have played without a baw , a total set up against us by madden , and tell you what we will be met with more of the same on Sunday , its the only way of stopping our bhoys . These mibs have again been hand picked for this game , so we can expect injustice .
BB
Pretth sure he didn’t get booked and Burly Chassis left a few dead legs as well. Got him his move to Orangeshire
The huns obviously got the message re Madhun……
