It’s not that I had genuine concerns going into the game, but the early goal from Callum McGregor was a huge relief. It allowed Celtic to subjugate Aberdeen without getting anywhere near top gear. I doubt anyone exerted themselves, so we should hit the weekend at full throttle.
I remember first tentatively linking Reo Hatate with Lubomir Moravcik. What a burden on the player and an invitation to mock from every Celtic fan who remembers Lubo. We all thought the same as we left Celtic Park on Saturday. Reo’s second goal was gallus Lubo at his best. Perhaps the only difference, is the sprint Reo put in after nutmegging his opponent to get into the box; Lubo was more of a magician who leaned back to admire his work.
We have some special players in form at the right time.

BIGRAILROADBLUES
Looking for recommendations to go before the game on Sunday.
My son and I Looking for a bite to eat, nothing fancy, then a few drinks.
I have a daughter who has just moved company because she felt that her opportunities to develop new skills and experience new challenges were limited. She is ambitious and that was what the new company saw and made them offer her a job. If even the SPFL puts players off, what must the thought of the B league do?
Only how I see it.
Off to the pool.

I have always enjoyed watching VICTOR MATURE On Screen, and in his Role as ” DOC HOLLIDAY” in the Western ” MY DARLING CLEMENTINE” was Excellent.
Below is what the Director CECILE B DE MILLE apparently said about VICTOR……
Samson and Delilah Film 1949.
Mature with Hedy Lamarr in Samson and Delilah (1949)
Mature’s career received a massive lift when he was borrowed by Cecil B. DeMille at Paramount to play the lead in the $3.5 million biblical spectacular Samson and Delilah. De Mille described the role of Samson as “a combination Tarzan, Robin Hood, and Superman.”[39] Mature was reluctant to take the role at first out of fear of risking his new postwar reputation as a serious actor, but he changed his mind.[40]
During filming, Mature was frightened by a number of the animals and mechanical props used in the production, including the lions, the wind machine, the swords and even the water. This infuriated the director, DeMille, who bellowed through his megaphone at the assembled cast and crew:
“I have met a few men in my time. Some have been afraid of heights, some have been afraid of water, some have been afraid of fire, some have been afraid of closed spaces. Some have even been afraid of open spaces – or themselves. But in all my 35 years of picture-making experience, Mr. Mature, I have not until now met a man who was 100 percent yellow.”[
Rather unkind by Mr DeMille ?….I would also be Feart of coming up against of THE LIONS….Including the Ones from LISBON.
LOL

Scullybhoy- from someone in with the bricks at St Mirren, he would never have signed for us.
for the media bingo cards –
ange will leave at the end of the season
Scullybhoy,
Not sure how your analogy is relevant, we have already seen how Ange treats talent, if its there it will be developed and promoted. If the boy is as good as he hoped then as I said, he would not be long in the B team, he’d be quickly promoted to the first team squad. I would not be surprised if Ange used the B team to gauge commitment.
There is a massive difference between working in sports and working in commercial/industrial organisations. In sport the only things that count are ability and opportunity however if the ability is there the opportunity is usually made available. In your analogy there are a considerable number of further restrictions, from corruption (ie sexism, ageism, nepotism/cronyism…..) to lack of opportunity that impair peoples progress, Just my opinion and experience.
