BRENDAN RODGERS, who celebrates his 52nd birthday today, walked into Parkhead on May 23, 2016 to be announced as the new Celtic manager.
He was welcomed by thousands of cheering Hoops fans – but no-one could have envisaged the remarkable impact the self-confessed Celtic fan would have on the club.
Rodgers led the team to back-to-back trebles and claimed a seventh successive honour when he masterminded a 1-0 League Cup Final victory over Aberdeen in December 2018 with Ryan Christie firing in the matchwinner.

The Irishman continued the winning sequence last season after his return to the club on June 19 2023 to replace Spurs-bound Ange Postecoglou.
The Premiership trophy was claimed for the third successive crusade and the club are well on their way to a fourth flag, their thirteenth title in 14 years and their 55th in their glorious history this time around.
A man of class, Rodgers also threw in a Scottish Cup with a 1-0 victory over Rangers at Hampden on the iconic date of May 25.
The gaffer returned with his players to the venue last month to secure the Premier Sports League Cup after a thrilling 5-4 penalty-kick shoot-out win over the same opponents.
That took his personal trophy haul to TEN as Celtic gaffer.
