SPFL ‘computer’ giving excuses to fail to those who need them

383

I love it when opponents get their excuses for failure in before a ball is kicked.  Reaction to yesterday’s Premiership fixture announcement, which sees Newco visit Celtic Park on 17 October, at the end of the first round of games, was conspiratorial.  You would have thought Wee Willie John McFadyen’s computer was running things.  Suspicion was also raised that Newco visit Aberdeen on the opening day of the season.

I hope they continue to lay the conspiracy theories on thick, providing a ready excuse to fail.  They will need it.

I worked for Siemens in the UK for 15 years – used to visit Erlangen, Mannheim and Karlsruhe a few times a year. Was lucky enough to visit the Christmas market in Nuremberg.

Went to Kassel once back in the 80’s – it was early December – arrived at night and ABB factory next day – saw nothing of the town.

Lovely places and really nice people.

  19. King Lubo –

The first I bought with my mum’s money:

Madness – driving in my car (picture disc if memory serves me right and had a crossword on the cover)

The first with my own money was:

Depeche Mode – Stripped – I didn’t ask for this record but my big brother who went to the shop to buy didn’t like my choice so decided to get one he liked. To be fair, through persistence I grew to love the song and could probably still sing all the words.

  20. NB: Breá means fine, nice, all good and similar. Probably same etymological origin as braw.

    Hand of God….

I thought Roy Aitken was massively overrated. The centenary year was won with a massive dose of Billy Stark imho….

    ________________________

Stark was an outstanding player who had one last season at the top level when he joined Celtic in 1987. When Pat Crerand saw Roy Aitken’s performance in the 1980 League decider against Rangers he compared him to Duncan Edwards. Roy was an excellent servant for Celtic and had the potential to be an all-time ‘great’. Paul McStay was peerless and he stuck with a mediocre side through thick and thin.

  27. How many times do we have to listen to this nonsense about Broony. For the past 3 seasons, the consensus among the experts is”Finished”.Last season he was immense.Looking at him in training he looks as good as ever.He will be leading the charge from the front again this season. He will know when his time is up.

As for a replacement when he does,we already have a guy to try out,Soro.Or has everyone already written this guy off.

  28. NB @ 8.43: hilarious.

On an iPhone, which is what I use, these are all the ‘A’s when you hold it down:

    à, á, â, ä, æ, ã, å & ā
