SPFL review but know to expect further challenges

1294

The new SPFL board yesterday agreed that some sort of review should take place into the debacle which saw Rangers collapse into liquidation. While this is welcome as far as it goes, its scope will necessarily be bound by what the SPFL previously agreed to bind itself to.  This was clear from the off, which I alluded to at the time.

If you contractually agree to limit your future actions for all purposes, you tie your own hands. This is where the SPFL are now and it is the reason we must look beyond them. The actions of those who tied their own hands are just as important as matters pertaining to the integrity of Scottish football’s competitions (the Scottish Cup and SFL League Cup, as well as the SPL).

The SPFL are not the only ones who are looking into this matter. They know to expect challenges during the course of the next two months.

  2. adverts on here are a ridiculous, log in and cant see any comments because of the ad in the background. I get the site needs to make money but in the last 12 months it has become a complete joke.

I hope I am wrong, but I think Rosenberg will be a tough proposition tomorrow … they are pretty far along in their preparations … Norwegian teams are usually big, physical and well organized … and their big number 9 could cause problems with our injury list ….

I would be okay with a narrow win tomorrow … a 2-0 win, and no away goals for them, would make me very happy …

I think we will probably do better in Norway when they have to come out and play, and we have closer to a full team back, who can hit them on the counter …..

but, this is one of those occasions where I wont be too upset if I am wrong and we skelp them 4 -0.

and yes… BR might be right in what he says … health and safety is important …but, you cant pick and choose the issues on which you comment, or you leave yourself open to some (justifiable) criticism…. are signs more important that racist chanting? Or are the signs only important because they cost the club money, and racist zombie fans singing songs of hate are okay because they bring money in, in the form of ticket sales?

the fact that he would appear to be taking the company line on this makes me worry about the Board’s response (or lack thereof) on what I see as the larger issue of whether the game in Scotland is a bogey …

    Evening all.

When reviewing web site content this afternoon, it struck me how the successful marketing of the LNS commission has helped sell its legitimacy.

The guy is only called ‘Lord’ by virtue of his former day job.

This grubby gig was a piece of consultancy carried out by a private citizen.

So ‘Lord William Nimmo Smith’ is in fact ……

‘William Nimmo Smith’ who in turn is actually ….

‘William Smith’ who could reasonably called …

    ‘Billy Smith’.

May I humbly suggest that in future we refer to the LNS commission as the BSW?

Think your barking up the wrong tree blaming Bill Smith entirely.

Other than taken the Queen’s shilling he acted within the sham perimeters set by the SFA/SPL.

Dont shoot the lily livired quisling of a messenger. The now discredited Bill Smith’s family’s name has to live with his ignominy. The question you should be asking is, who did he answer too? If his family name means anything to him, he might want redress his publicly aired judgement sometime soon.

Shrinkflation is a rise in the general price level of goods per unit weight or size, with a corresponding reduction in the weight or size of the item sold. Hence the price of the packaged product remains the same.

does this mean newcos defenders are getting smaller ?

  25. Jobo- good advice given. Give it a try as it’s a quick install and treats all MS Office as ‘native’. Has it’s version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc…

If you buy a new PC, it will come with Windows 10, unless you really go out of your way for a Win7 version.

Along with 10 you get a OneDrive subscription, previously known as SkyDrive.

There is a web based version of Office included.

Not fully functional with all the bells and whistles of Office, but more than enough for the limited features you will probably use.
