All three outfits looking to take control of Rangers want to meet the SPL before formalising their bids. It would be inappropriate for any bidder to discuss the terms under which a new company could enter the SPL with the League’s executive. It is not their place to negotiate with the League, or to establish the terms under which they would be prepared to spend money on Rangers.
Let’s be clear about what cannot be achieved by meeting the League:
The SPL cannot give them any indication as to whether the resolutions will be passed
They cannot give them any indication if other resolutions will be proposed and passed
They cannot give them any indication on the probability of a new company being given access to the SPL
SPL executives have no influence on these matters. From an information discovery position, these meetings are utterly pointless, there is no need for them and no insight can be gained from them.
The SPL executive cannot consider representations from third parties who are hoping to cut a deal on buying a club. If any bidder were to discuss their own bid or the consequences of any sanction the meeting becomes wholly inappropriate.
Any meetings which do take place should be minuted, with minutes distributed to all SPL clubs, and should be open to any other SPL clubs who wish to attend.
No secret deals, no secret attempts to influence.
Pay your bills!

Re. SKY Boycott
Assuming that there are sufficient numbers of supporters from all clubs willing to boycott SKY, would it be possible for someone to set up an e-petition in which SKY subscribers could simply insert their account numbers ? After say a week, the e-petition could then be brought to the attention of SKY. There would no doubt be a few rogue ‘subscribers’ (similar to the Rangers pledges !) but SKY would be able to recognise the genuine account numbers and, hopefully, become concerned.

Best horse in The National today is ‘Dirty Rug’.
It’s never been beaten.
“There was a famous jockey that never lost a race. When asked how he achieved this,he replied, I whisper in the horse’s ear: Roses are red, violets are blue. Horses that lose are made into glue.”

A jockey is talking to the trainer ahead of the race.
“You got to ride him to win,” the trainer says, “because I’ve got a monkey on this horse, and so has my wife.”
“Will there be any room for me?,” the jockey asks.
There is no Old Firm.
A few years ago the SPL introduced a winter break. Celtic went to Florida the 1st year something which proved to be so successful that they returned the following year. A few friendlies were played and a sponsorship deal was agree with Disney……the following years winter break was cancelled.
The Reserve league was won by Celtic for the 9th time in a row….following season the league was cancelled.
Celtic under 19’s were invited into Uefa’s Next Gen series a prestigious tournament….the following season the SPL introduce a u20’s”…..
it appears that we will continue to be pulled back lest we actually get any better.
Maybe 1+1=2 maybe not depends on whether the ancient mathematicians were actually correct in the first place.

Three things.
1. I have not seen the actual deal and how it is worded so did not want to blame Sky in case I had it wrong..
2. We only have what the media tell us of the deal and it is the medai who are using their representation to justify the commercial case. That is not Sky’s fault.
3. It is a good idea when wanting to get someone on your side not to blame them for the problem.

Kit – from earlier re Robbie Savage, after Neil’s interview on Football Focus, Robbie stated that it had been ridiculous what Lenny had to endure last season. Words to that effect and not the type of thing we’re used to hearing from impartial Aunty Beeb up here!
RS had nothing but good things to say about Neil.

Synchronized has thrown McCoy before the start. Has bolted
Livorno’s Piermario Morosino has died after collapsing with a heart-attack 31 minutes into a Serie B match v Pescara.
Mon the Jockeys in the green, green and White, or green white and yellow (gold), not that I am bias.
A Seabass, Ballybriggs, Neptune Collonges 1,2,3, would do nicely
A P McCoy fell aff. Numpty.
TTTT
Savage went as far as to call it ‘disgraceful’.
Good to hear.
Rest in peace Morosini. Serie B footballer who collapsed in the middle of a game of a heart attack. Morosini has passed away aged 25.
SFTB. Paul Townend.

Fair point, I don’t suppose anyone of us has actually seen the Sky deal on offer, and have to rely on the media as regards its content. BSkyb are a big part of that media mind you, and I wonder how News International itself has reported it. Certainly seems as if a campaign is being followed to persuade us that it is already a fait accompli. I am guessing here, but I think a public sale of 5000 tickets for three o clock kick-offs at Parkhead would raise as much money as the prospective deal on offer. You, more than anyone on here, know that there are possible alternatives to Sky, do not let them think otherwise.
