SPL stalemate leaves bare truth narrative for Rangers

643

A stalemate was one of the more positive possible outcomes from today’s SPL meeting.  Such are the layers of intimidation which have been levelled across a spectrum of football clubs, bodies and individuals in the last week, it was difficult to imagine SPL chairmen standing up for sporting integrity after Sandy Jardine’s ominous words.

Unfortunately, for the Magnificent Duff and Phelps, they will have to shred plans to blame someone else for the shambles they are, kind of, administering.  Their creative talents will be taxed to the limit to explain for another two weeks why it is in creditors interests to consume available monies while Craig Whyte has not moved an inch in 10 weeks on demands for his shares of stadium security.

The narrative of this story is also important.  Angry Ally could have blamed the SPL chairmen for Rangers imminent descent into oblivion, and demanded to know where they live, but this would have been a corruption of the truth.  Rangers will not die because of the SPL or SFA but because their own misdeeds of the last 20 years are about to catch up with them.

This will be their final narrative.  Be angry at those who administered and profited from the EBTs, no one else.

I thought Pat Nevin was pure indignant and affronted by the song choices on the ole Glasgow Derby Jukebox?

So why does he want it to carry on?

  3. The brain donor who posted the video of him and his pals wrecking the toilets at Parkhead whilst singing vile songs just got himself done. He posted an earlier video from yesterday where he helpfully shows the camera his ticket with his seat number on it.

No wonder they are going down the lavvy pan.

  4. Nasal Nevin is one of the more hypocritical weasels I’ve heard in my long and dissipated life.

    Nevin, give it up.

Kudos to Paul Cuddihy during the game on Celtic TV.

After the second goal when we were toying with them, he said

“Rangers are in disarray, and I don’t mean off the pitch”

  6. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

Not only is he a hypocritical weasel, he gives sanctimonious stoats a bad name.

    Aye,they’re a forward lookin’ lot!

  8. I suppose the toilet wrecking will happen every time they visit but that video is still shocking. Why do police allow it to happen?

I realise a frenzied mob is a difficult situation for them but they must know what to expect and should have sufficent men to cope.

Ive been told the huns have always been policed in a much friendlier way than they treat us.

Seats right under the police observation point always get smashed by them.

Meanwhile the Green Brigade get harassed for just being..

  9. Considering they wrecked the toilets the last time, surely we could expect a police presence in there. In the toliet at our bit we had two polis and a steward in.

Am I right in saying it was a certain match commanders last game at Celtic park yesterday?

  10. Neil canamalar Lennon hunskelper extrordinaire on

The polis witnessed the destruction and therefore condoned it, I’d like to withhold the repair fee from their charges, this is wholly their fault.

  11. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

In Hillbilly culture the ‘wrecking of the toilet’ is deeply ingrained behaviour, usually marking the onset of the rutting season.

for more than just the obvious reasons, your report on the 3-0 match v rfcia was a phenomenal piece of work

well done and thanks, one of the best articles i have read on here, as they say, and that is indeed saying something

how are we for clearin some non-essential CFC player contracts and signing those of an exceptionaly high quality, as well as, while i’m at it, trying to keep a hold of our star assets, where we can / should ?

be good to build a team for the next few seasons, to step up a level, if possible……a work in progress

  14. Seen another video of them wrecking toilets yesterday and as they are starting a polis walks in, he just walks straight through and out other door to let them get on with it.

    hunbelievable…

I was over in Manila for couple days in February to go to Quezon Power Plant too. First time in Philippines but didnt see too much, although got caught up in traffic with all the “pilgrims” in the city for the INC rally which fun……

Tell you what, bbc world news doesn’t have much time for Scotland eh,

Watched the English results and manager garbage, then on to French league, then Dutch, then Spanish, nada about one of the biggest derbies in the world.

Licence fee, are they planning to charge the Europeans soon .

  18. i feel sorry for the knuckledraggers…

inside cludgies are evidently from a different dimension to ayrshire, airdrie and brigton.

the poor numbskulls simply reacted like the chimps at the start of 2001:a space oddysey.

this may also go some way to explaining their aggressive approach to other unfamiliar things… like less than compliant police forces whilst abroad, and education.

    pity the deluded fools.

I have thought in some previous Derby games,we have put out the wrong team/formation.After the first ten minutes we found our shape and the players were comfortable. In order to grow as a team,IMO we have to be more adaptable and flexible in certain games, without looking disjointed.Yesterday was much better as Commons behind the strikers was outstanding and looking as sharp as he’s been for us.The result was a boost after the Semi-final,I think we can look forward to some of the young bhoys getting decent game time til the end of the season.

That will be the documentation of ‘the marvelous Rangers support’ their angry manager as his media pals keep referring to.

  21. Summa of Sammi…. 14:13

What is your source for that?

    Interesting if true.

  22. Watching the orchestrated campaign to make a case for rewarding Rangers tax-avoidance and debt dodging with automatic membership of the SPL, I find it truly incredible that some people believe that the same organisation, Rangers, would not bribe a referee to ensure championship status in the Scottish league and the millions of European money that follows from this.

The game has been bent for some time now and if Rangers Newco slip straight back into the SPL we have plumbed new depths.

  23. The levels of stupidity shown by those morons never ceases to amaze me, toilet smashing and then film it on your own mobile, just in case that isnt bad enough make sure you let everyone see your ticket inc seat number, aww look why not just post it onto a social networking site as well….vandalism of the highest order beaten only by gross supidity, just when you think youve seen and heard it all about them they go and surprise you once again,

perhaps one of our CQNers from the Police or with a knowledge of how the Police work can advise what measures the Officers who ignored the Criminal acts may themselves face?

  24. On Folgen Folgen they are talking about raising a share issue to dilute Whyte’s shares therefore gaining control of the club.

Can one of our better informed posters explain how they can do this whilst the stock exchange they trade on has suspended them?

  25. Hi Paul,

Interesting that Mr Doncaster has not predicted a vote next week* and the priority seems to be moving towards the correct decisions rather than expediditing R@ngers survival plan.

Maybe some people have got fed up with the intimidation and threats.

D&P failed to administer the corect medicine and have been left holding the corpse.

Just hope that you have some free time to enjoy the delights of Cebu; mind you, the areas of grinding poverty do/does take the shine off it in many ways!

  27. Paul,

    The question nobody is asking:

If RIA cease to exist, what will happen to the coefficient?

    and

If RIA are proven to have fielded illegible players all those years, what will happen to the co-efficient?
