    The players are not machines but human beings, you can’t flick a switch. First half pedestrian, walking football, second half upped the tempo, quick decisive football and St. Johnston were blown away.

    I also had the Correct Score of 3 – 1 @ odds of 10/1… ( I suspect some others MAY also have backed the same score line ?

    Don’t know about board members , but I agree.

     

     

    Anyone who actually watched the game knows that our first half performance was dire.

     

    Second half was better, however a great save by Joe Hart prevented the scoreline being 2-2.

     

     

    This was not a good overall performance but a good scoreline.

    One of Brendan’s problems is he’s got too many players to chose from – squad needs a very big trim.

    How would that performance have gone down in European football? We all know the answer.

     

     

    Some of our expensive projects are not going to make it, that much is clear. Is our Academy that poor that we cannot progress anyone ? Just what are we doing at that Academy

    Great to enjoy another away victory. Bloody freezing mins you.

     

     

    A shame so many spare tickets knocking around when so many fans who wanted to go couldn’t get them.

     

     

    Still these are the games where leagues are won. Winning when not playing well and up against it.

     

     

    As for the comments of Latchford and others on here ….oh dear dear…..we were not great in first 45mins but maybe have a look at yourself in the mirror, re read your comments and see if you need help.

     

     

    The bogey man isn’t really trying to get us all.

    Good second half performance after dire first half. BR spot on with his post match interview. Simply not good enough. MJ brought pace that Yang and Palma don’t have. Yang is a player totally devoid of confidence who knows himself that he is not good enough. Likewise DT should be let go. Has had too many chances. He and MOR should not play in the same midfield Which means he has to be left out. GT left to take the big man at the corner yet again. JH should be better for that also. OH. Iowata and JF do well for the 3rd goal. Two great strikes for goals 1 and 2 and good save from JH at 2-1. The sooner we get our injured players back the better.

    Had the game on a stream, but was also listening to the game on Sportsound.

     

    The commentary was terrific and radio always captures the atmosphere better than TV.

     

    Excellent contributions from Callum Davidson, (who had been there both as a player and a manager) and our very own Cillian Sheridan, another prodigal son. Now up at Inverness Caley so fair play to big Dunc for bringing him back from the wilderness. Far better than the McFaddens and the Pat (when ah played for Chelsea) Nevin, both gave us an insight to what was actually happening on the pitch, which is what I want from co-commentators.

    I might do that. I had a stream from Romania and when Calmac scored the commentator said Notts County. His loan there? How long ago was that?

     

    In fairness to him he seemed to be saying p*sh and sh*te a lot in the first half so he was probably a Celtic man

    Yang very poor today. Caught offside too many times. Am sure that riled BR and why he was hooked.

     

    Poor passing consistently from GT; need another LB in the January window and am sure BR is working on that.

     

    Great 2nd half strikes but we need a strong sitting midfielder. Calmac gets over run, especially in Europe

     

    because of this gap. Joe made a fine save near the end that gave us the points. But……his time is up I’m afraid.

     

    So, we need those 3 positions filled, hopefully in January.

    I thought Brendan’s comments about wanting 4 quality players in the summer coming on the back of another euro defeat was a high risk strategy. You’re telling a lot of players they aren’t good enough when their heads are full of noise about his poor we are already.

     

     

    While I can understand it I don’t think it helped us today, the problem in the first half wasn’t lack of quality, that standard 11 should do far better. An issue for the players but also the manager. If they didn’t know already they do now – be at it from the start or you’re in for trouble

     

     

    To be able to turn things around to such a huge degree shows Brendan’s ability as a manager and Calmacs quality as a leader. Changing the attitude of the team is an incredibly hard mid game, but we did it.

     

     

    The subs offered something different, Oh caused them a different challenge, Mikey and Jamesie were great in their own way.

     

     

    Hopefully the last half hour sets us up nicely for the rest of December.

     

     

    A return to form for Kyogo would be a very welcome early Christmas present.
