  1. Half Time Nil All could easily have been 4 all. A bit hectic but extremely enjoyable.

  2. It’s not great but as long as Ronny is getting some value from it then ok.

  3. Sneaky bassa of a sleekit referee. All the wee niggly fouls go St Johnstone’s way. He has certainly been told. Imagine if Celtic were playing here with Aberdeen 3 points behind. Do you think we’d be allowed to win? Need a holding mid on to break up the ST Johnnies.

  4. I was going to post about JF always cutting inside and it coming to nothing. Just then he left the defender for dead and put a great ball into the box, like to see him do it more often

  8. The most watchable nil nil of the season for me. Saints with 2 free headers might rue those misses. Looking forward to taking control in 2nd half and think that class will prevail in the end.

  9. For me, GMS off and Charlie on.

We will lose a goal from a corner otherwise. Those who say Denayer is better than VVD should reconsider. Big Virg takes all the physical stuff and leaves JD to sweep up, JD is toiling tonight without his mate.

Armstrong having a good game and may mature into a deeper midfielder in time.

Matthews is an absolute shambles these days, 4th choice right back for me.

An entertaining first half from two teams of professionals plying their trade. Much less professional were the performances of the referee and whoever the co-commentator is on BT.

Looking for a positive, they have increased my desire for the victory the ref is doing his best to prevent and the commentator would be saddened by.

Is Commons playing…..must hav missed it ;-(

  12. The performance is understandable given the players who are missing but some like Mathews and Commons are showing their usual weaknesses. Griffiths has also been poor. GMS and Forrest are blowing hot and cold. Zaluska has saved us a few times. Brown and Armstrong are our best outfield players. Without the captain we’d really be struggling.

Forty five short minutes, punctuated with SFA, BB style refereeing.

    Celtic will score.

  15. the hud….

Before his injury Adam had performed very well at all levels, including against some of the best teams in Europe e.g. Barcelona.

He suffered an infection as an incidental effect of his injury.

Only my opinion, yours is different.

    Was a superb athlete.

The only thing against him and Mikel is their terrible injury record. Near Phil O’Donnell’s (God rest him) status.

There must be a factory somewhere that produces smug officious Masonic referees.

Gary McAllister is as bad as the ref.

  17. corkcelt appreciate what Kris has done for us but he is increasingly our weak link – watch him score a stunner and set one up now, should not now be an automatic first pick imo. Hail Hail Hebcelt

    Jobo,

problem is…..if we start to out gas them in the latter stages – they’ll just become more compact defensively – better known as parking the bus. Do we have enough guile to break them down then?

  19. Has Chris Sutton been pulled back from the dark side?

The last few times i’ve seen him hes been very complimentary of Celtic and the fans

  20. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

Our chronic lack of height will cost us.

Playing not too bad, considering the absentees.

It is obvious that St.Johnstone are the team with something to play for, which is understandable.
