I went mental at CalMacs goal too. The normally quiet bhoy who sits next to me, is 20 years younger than me but amazingly comes from Knightswood and knows my kids. He went to Saint Thomas Aquinas wi my children. He normally quietly applauds a Celtic goal, on Tuesday he went ballistic when Callum scored. I have the bruises on my thigh and triceps to prove it. ;)

  2. Lubo was my kind of Celtic player.

    Skilled, both feet as well.

    Thinking about it…..

Lubo has been the very highest skilled player to play for Celtic that I witnessed. I never seen JJ.

  10. Happy birthday to Glasgow Celtic on the 6th of November in 1887 was formally constituted at a meeting in St. Mary’s church hall in East Rose Street (now Forbes Street) Calton, Glasgow, by Irish Marist Brother Walfrid In 1887, he helped to found Celtic as a means of raising funds for the poor and deprived in the east end of Glasgow in Scotland. He was a pivotal person in the community, as Tom Maley stated: “…he only had to knock and it was opened”. With the purpose of alleviating poverty in the East End of Glasgow by raising money for the charity Walfrid had instituted, the Poor Children’s Dinner Table…..

‘A football club will be formed for the maintenance of dinner tables for the children and unemployed.’ Brother Walfrid (November 6, 1887).

And 130 years on the rest is unbroken history

    God Bless Brother Walfrid
