  1. It is what it is right now and it’s been there from last season,no escape goats ,just players not performing like we’ve seen them do

There was only one way to make this league more competitive , for the other teams to improve or for us to regress. Other teams haven’t improved…..we’re just making it look that way. One header for Griff and a shot from Calmac at the end of the half should be 2-0 but I ‘m not sure we really deserve it. We sadly lack creativity, speed of thought and penetration.

  3. I think we are playing marginally better than we have been of late. We look nervous – passing ball out of park – but have created two great chances. We missed both which were sitters, Leigh’s header and CalMac just before half time. I’m hopeful we can put a chance away. The ref is giving St. J every decision.

  4. I have just noticed that with 63% possession , Celtic have been penalised 9 times. ST JOHNSTONE, WITH 37 % , HAVE BEEN PENALISED TWICE.

I haven`t seen the game. Is the ref being fair?

    JJ

  5. I believe we’re watching Brendan’s revenge. Players look like they’re on strike, working to rule. I.e. doing just enough not to embarass themselves but not an iota more.

  6. We have to face the reality that the players are following coaching instructions.

Dynamic players have now become automated safety first trudgers.

The sad fact is this is a group of players with no discernible shape or purpose that bear no resemblance to an actual team.

  7. I think there is a slight, slight, slight improvement in play tonight. We are quicker in moving from our own defensive third into the middle but we are still scared of the final 3rd. We created 2 good direct chances but that is still only 2 in a first half.

We have got too used to the expectation that our possession game will lead to the opposition tiring that we don’t throw much into it in the first half other than proving we are better at keep-ball than they are.

    As I say, small steps.

Dare we hope for some opening of the legs and displays of class in the 2nd half?

  8. I think Calum will be given 10 to 15 minutes to be replaced by Tom.

I hope Morgan gets a wee run out also

  9. glendalystonsils on

I would like to see Lewis Morgan on second half to run at defenders , since James Forrest has decided that’s no longer his job.

  10. Beginning to think Brendan can’t sort this out…… trying not to get too upset ‘ye canny win the treble every year’ but getting worried this team and manager are a busted flush!

  11. Stated before game started

Would have started with Mulumba and Brown sitting in front of defence

Pushed Ntcham forward to dictate play

Also 2 holding would allow Kieran and Mikael to push forward a bit more

  12. Nye Bevans' rebel soldier on

Celtic will win this by at least a couple, too may Lilly liveried pantywetters

    on here.

  13. Broonie won a challenge against Tony Watt. The replay showed that Broonie clearly wins the ballot yet the ref awarded a foul. There’s been a number of these decisions like the St. Johnstone player clearly diving early on but Boyata was penalised. Beaton is seeing what he wants to see. Their players are also quick to go to ground. Two quick goals and we’ll kill this game off.

  14. Watching the GOTM at half tme on Celtic TV.Someblovely goals.Where has it all gone so quickly. In saying that, the two we have missed take some beating.

We have got too used to the expectation that our possession game will lead to the opposition tiring .

the fans are the ones who are tired of this play not the opposition.

  16. This ‘team’ look devoid of ideas, passion and will to win.

I said ages OK that BR had made his point (about the transfer window) but that we should move on.

    Apparently not.

Tired looking players with little discernible tactics.

    Clueless against bang average plodders.

  17. First decent effort on goal 29mins!

    Second effort on goal 44mins!

    Where’s the improvement?
