  1. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Great result today. Even better that the Celtic CQN family has recovered and back to being positive.

There was a couple of aspects of the game today that I’d like Brendan to concentrate on in training this week.

I’m pretty sure he reads the blog and must be worried about Lustig being finished and gone as many on here point out.

Slightly strange that no one at the World cup spotted that. Suppose Mikael just had a lucky summer.

Not so lucky a period for Hendry mind. He went into the close season a work in progress and over the summer emerged as Dedryks replacement.

Anyway back to this week at Lennoxtown. Goals ! We are too dependant on Jamesie these days. The load needs to be spread about the team imho. I’ve never thought Forrest was selfish until today and tbh its a negative side the wee guy that he’s kept below the radar. Probably Big Eck has spotted this trait and has been vindicated.

Friday on SSB someone pointed out to the panel that both our records this season are pretty much equal but they are getting all the kudos and we are in crisis, pathetic response from Keevins, but, but, but ,but, they know fine well the score, but they have an audience they are targeting and it’s no us.

  3. I actually feel a bit sorry for Theresa May, whoever is dressing her and giving her guidance is taking the piss out of her.

Boris is on his way in, god help us.

With him and Trump, Putin and others in control…. we’re fecked.

Sorry for stealing your thunder PETEC.:))?

She knows she`s no Melania , mate.

That’s why she takes the piss out of herself with her wee uncoordinated dancing entrance onto the stage at the Tory conf .

Wow,seems I missed out on our best performance of the season to date. Bloody night shifts.

Must confess, that team selection didn’t fill me with confidence, more the midfield tbh. Three players who were out of form, and one who I thought was still injured.

What a way to get your mojo back! Well done to all,and as usual my grateful thanks to LYMMBHOY for the replays.

    Damn these international breaks,btw.

  6. Deja vu all over again!

Our last great performance was the Sevco game and we immediately went onto an international break. At FT I looked up our next fixture only to find we’re on another bloody break.

I’d put it down to an SFA conspiracy to derail us but to be honest I think they’d be too incompetent to successfully pull one off.

However it was interesting to hear several SPFL managers comment on how they’ll use the break to work on tactics whereas Brendan could probably go off on holiday given 75% of his players will be away.

I love ssb I think am institutionalised but I do enjoy it …. let them big Stevie Gee up am delighted we have Brendan ….

I don’t understand CQN at times why do we have to be pro board or anti board why can’t we take the good parts and not like the not so good parts

  9. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Sid1888 at 10.44 last night , my apologies for not replying earlier.

The huns made a huge mistake that day delaying their return to the pitch. Our support inspired our players to a fantastic second performance .

Great win and performance by our team today. My son was there and thoroughly enjoyed it apart from not scoring more in the second half as he was in the stand behind the goal Calum scored our sixth into.

  13. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

10 days ago Beaton saw 3 fouls against Celtic players in 90 minutes.

Today he saw 26 fouls against Sevco.

    Just saying like.

    Hail hail and good night.

I sit in different seats in the house, even in to different rooms that’s what Celtic do to us :-) …. I was saying your heads up about draws in the championship were worth a watch you and big Cas are onto something :-)

I only noticed it because one of those draws cost me nearly £37k last week. And no,I’m not bloody kidding. Time to do a bit, catch yeezaw later.

    LEFTCLICKTIC

I’ll have wee Daniel right up there in my thoughts.

  16. Absolutely Delighted for Brendan and his staff to get such an emphatic performance from the Bhoys.

Pat, the very best wishes for young Daniel.

  17. Just checked BBC stats.

We had 30,yes 30, shots. One every 3 minutes.

At one stage it looked like we were playing shootie in.

CQN server couldn’t keep pace with the chances we were creating.

The Saints keeper now has had two very good games against us.

His stock will be rising with performances like that.

It’s a pity we have yet another international break.

They are becoming a real pain in the gluteus maximus.

It could mean we have a couple of our injured players recover fully.

Or we could have a couple injured in Scotland’s game against whoever.

With the performance and result a real sense of equanimity has descended on the board.

It should last for a couple of days at least.

  18. Perfect timing for Brendan’s biggest win margin for Celtic.

It was if our tactics and attitude were transported back two seasons. Let’s hope SS picks up the gene.

    ——————-

I’m sure Brendan and the club generally will be flattered. It is always good to be valued.

However BR will be going nowhere. He is happy here and there is unfinished business to do.

    Macjay,

Saw that, but, it doesn’t keep up with…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45779373

Where it is reported that Brendan later said,

“You can’t rule me out as I haven’t been asked yet”

At 07:26 this morning, radio Scotland news sport bulletin finished, after reporting the above, with, (paraphrase):

“It is our understanding that Aston Villa will approach Celtic today to ask permission to speak to Brendan Rodgers.”

That was what was said on the BBC radio less than an hour ago.

  26. Alasdair MacLean on

    Greenpinata,

My thoughts were….well, more power to Brendan’s elbow. Especially with regards to leverage in the January window.

  27. Alasdair MacLean on

A wee bit of a boost to the man too….if he was feeling a bit hard done by recently!
