?-do you think if we play that same squad every week then it’s a given
Gary67 on
The main difference today, other than the obvious that we took more of our chances, was McGregor as the deep lying midfielder rather than Brown. He moves the ball a lot quicker and looks to move it forward more often. There are games, today being an example, where we should look to start games without the captain as he slows us down and hits too many sideways or backward passes. Brown is crucial for the bigger games domestically, and especially in Europe, but sometimes he can be left on the sidelines and we will benefit.

So there is life for Celtic without Broon y. James Forest a different class. Important win and a climb nearer the top of the table.
He hasn’t been as bad as some are making out, neither has Hendry, some of the stuff we have seen from say KT has been lets say, not up to his usual, the Celtic support arny happy unless they are bitching about something :-)

Thank God, James zforrest read my post the other day ?
I am James biggest critic, play like that and I’ll change my mind James
Very well done today
Incidentally also great to see Tom Rogic back, 5 goals his passes were influential in
Now, I hope at least half of the Celtic players planned for international duty pull out.
Well done Brendan and the Bhoys a good away win however, it does not mean we have shed our problems St.Johnstone are no RB Saltzburg. The good thing is we have now some free time to get Broonie back fit.We need to keep our league progress going .H.H.

I heard the commentator state, this would be Celtic first away win in league this season
So we now have one
What about all those other challengers ? Has that been mentioned ???

Talk about spin!
BT said James scored a hattrick in 38 minutes.
Drivel!
He scored his first 3 goals in 23 minutes……………….but he scored the last 3 in 15!!!!!!
Brendan Rodgers decided he’d contributed to the loss at Rugby Park by making too many changes after a Thursday night game, so kept faith in most who’d disappointed in Salzburg. The back four now including Benkovic for Jack Hendry were never remotely tested, after the first few minutes.
Tommy Wright got his courage from SMSM? and his ‘more open’ game had already lost 5 against Barcelona at Ibrokes. and were set upon as James Forrest ran amok in a blistering Celtic team display, safely back in our own league.
Rogic and MacGregor dovetailed again, and Olivier Ntcham completed the total dominance in midfield that did not miss injured Scott Brown one iota.
Celtic blew away St. Johnstone and ‘the dressing room split’ with a great attacking show that will go down in memory for Celtic fans as ‘ The James Forrest Game’
Celtic v Hibs both refreshed after 6-0 victories ( how often does that happen? ) will be a sellout worth waiting for at Celtic Park.
I didn’t say that. I said same formation and same tactics but a different tempo.
The individuals can change through rotation or injury but the same basic shape and plan is one that woks. Today’s tempo is how it should be played. We have the squad to win the league ahead of anyone else if we stick to that template.

On BT Sports Sutton’s put down for the Huns was brilliant. The league leaders are in trouble at Ibrox says the commentator. Sutton says “That’ll be them in the top half of the table!”
“Bit of work to catch up with Livingston” was also a belter
I thot that the referee didn’t have too bad a game today, better than the usual, still missed a fair few things right enough but could have been a lot worse.

What a difference a goal or two makes. Ratio of goals to chances made still a bit low but if you are making more chances then goals will follow.
Actually running past defenders instead of across them helps too.
