  1. Dearie me, had to check back and see if we won….obviously a lot on here were not at CP during the Ronny years…..

  2. I’m basically a lazy git, so, I’m asking this question in the hope that someone else will do the donkey work.

Would I be right in saying that over the past Lawwell years we spend 20% of monies made on transfers out on transfers in, meaning, if that is the case, we can tell what we’ll spend each year on players rather than waiting til the last second of the last minute of the last hour of the last day to find out if were signing someone else cos we’ll already know just by what we’ve

already spent? (That’s the longest sentence I’ve ever posted on here) Loan deals excepted of course

  3. After 30 minutes my pick for Jobo had galvanized themselves. They were

Odsonne Griffiths, Olivier McGregor and Greg Forrest…then we took our

Collective foot off the gas. After 30 minutes the game as a contest was done.

Not many will live with us the rest of this season if we score three goals in the

First 30 minutes of every game, or almost every game.

    Here’s to the Nine.

  4. some really bad reading on here tonight.

    Abraham Lincoln.

The man who fought against slavery and genocide.

All you can do is sadly shake your head .

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States of America, who successfully prosecuted the Civil War to preserve the nation. He played in key role in passage of the Thirteenth Amendment, which officially ended slavery in America.

  6. So, in the summer, if we sell Eddie, Ntcham, and another few for say £50m, over summer AND next winter we’ll spend a combined total of £10m. (£7m summer, £3m winter)

    Is this making sense?

  7. Yup

I’m going with that. And with that in mind we’ve spent our tank so, unless we sell someone else the only new players likely to come in will be loan deals. Glad that’s sorted. I’m going to my bed at 10.00pm on the last transfer window day…….unless a loan deal is in the offing. Back to square 1 then….ffs

  8. Lincoln’s own words on how much of an Abolitionist he was or wasn’t :-

“” If there be those who would not save the Union, unless they could at the same time save slavery, I do not agree with them. If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union.”

  9. From having no backup for Eddie, it looks like we now have two.

Leigh is scoring and working hard.

Patryck looked speedy and sharp when he appeared for his late cameo.

    Time will tell.

Taylor looks like he could make the troublesome left back spot his own.

With Rogic, Christie in the wings, El Yonoussi back in training and Soro shortly to join the first team, we have a core of quality players who will carry us through to 9.

El Hamed and Bitton at a pinch could provide Centre back coverage, while El Hamed will relieve Frimpong in the cold heavy months of February and March.

We will blow hot and cold, sometimes on the same day, but driven by Brown and McGregor we can impose our will and purpose to win.

  10. AN TEARMANN

Leaps and bounds on the weekend, back at work sneaking Celtic TV during conference calls.

Surely a good sign? Tis a weird beast though to be sure.

Happy at 3pts, happy with the parts of the game I saw. Maybe that is the trick, flip a coin and decide on a half to watch.

    AoW,

As you can see from SFTB input, Macjay continues his strategy of disinginius disinformation to support his support of all things greed.

It’s no like this is an isolated incidence, he constantly tries to sew disinformation borne of his support of his might is right philosophy making him a liar when he spouts any support for democracy. His support for totalitarianism is evident in his support for the overthrow of democratically elected governments in shouts America namely Venizuala and Bolivia, both previously successful mixed economies that he disingenuously claims are/were socialist dictatorships, regardless of the facts such as allowing their far right usurpers and TV channels operating without censorship, I think there was a single sanction applied to a Venezualan channel that was supporting invasion by the USA, rightly accusing them of treason.

  13. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

The violent overthrow and trashing of democracies is his answer to socialism and mixed economy, is that the strategy of the champion of democracy he claims to be.

  14. Good morning CQN from an insomniac, dark but mild Garngad

I have never read so many experts on here criticising people for posting their thoughts. Hunbelievable

A great night 3 goals and 3 points, downside MJ got injured, which I thought he should have said no wait I’m no feeling fit to continue and that would enable Lenny to halt the substitution for a couple of minutes. A bit of in experience from the young fella.

I said on Saturday that maybe Griff’s best days were behind him, but he showed signs tonight of getting back to his best and could have had a hat trick. So credit where credits due well done the Griff and keep it up as him and Eddie look to be forming a good partnership.

If we can get El Hamed, Elyounoussi and Frimpong back, maybe another Centre back and big Vic 😂 in we will have some squad for Lenny to pick from.

Great to see Lenny trying out different systems during a game.

Does anyone know when Sumonovic contract is up?

Oh and aye before anyone asks I have managed a team and gave played football.

    D. :)

  15. Canman, agree re: Gettysburg address.

Always quoted as major/significant by those who know little. No idea why I put it up but at least it got a few comments.

Happy with 3, predicted 3-1 so glad no bet was put on.

    Hi-ho.

  16. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

Can we take it that it is now acceptable on CQN for one poster to refer to another as a ” liar ” ?

Not that I give a damn about the nasty rambling of uneducated bad losers .

The issue is simply the integrity of the blog .

  17. Mackay, mibbes liar is too harsh. Erroneous fits better.

One man’s democracy is another man’s terror. Iraq, Kuwait & Libya ‘liberated’ by the greatest democracy in the world.

    How did that work out?

  18. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

For someone who likes to portray themselves as knowledgable, I can only assume Macjay is deliberately lying rather than demonstrating ignorant buffoonery when he declares democratically elected governments are dictators.

  19. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

I expect uneducated is the same as not accepting imperial dictats but rather researching alternative independent information sources and attempting to be a tad objective when it comes to what parameters constitute independent.

You can be sure the MSM, Govt funded think tanks and organisations are anything but independent.

As for bleating about “bad losers” ha ha ha

Wearing a red nose and big floppy shoes would should be worn when trying to convince people of that assertion.

  20. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    AoW,

And Bolivia where the opposition politicians are now being imprisoned for being opposition to a military coup. So that they cannot participate in the next election.

Currently the laws and constitution are being changed by the dictators who perpetrated the coup while the country is placed under martial law. People are being murdered every day by the military it’s back to what Macjay considers the good old days of right wing rule and dissenters being disappeared.

    You’ll note the media silence

ART OF WAR on 30TH JANUARY 2020 7:26 AM

Western democracy owes an immeasurable debt of gratitude to the U.S.

At a time of Beijing expansionism and Russian sabre rattling , good idea to stick close to ones proven friends.

Instead of spouting this sort of garbage followed by puerile personal insults.

” A nation built on slavery and genocide. “

  22. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

Western democracy owes nothing to the US, the US has spent the last 70 years subverting democracy in every western country imposing their will on who should run the country.

The US is not a democracy, it is a cleptoautocracy.

All research into the state of democracy in the US by US universities have concluded it is nothing more than an oligarchy where the electorate have the least influence on governance and law making.

Simple example is that both Obama and Trump were the anti war candidates and won on that promise, both have failed to reduce the wars or investment in wars and military hardware. The military industrial complex have invested billions in lobbying these elected representatives and work through the lobby swing doors between govt positions and the companies who bribe them to make laws that favour them over the electorate, how is that a democracy only an idiot or liar would claim otherwise

  23. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

Only a fool listens to the socialist spoutings of U.S. universities .

    Perfect examples of Marxist entryism.

  24. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

Beijing expansionism is being done through trade and investment, compare and contrast to US expansionism thought starvation, bombs and planting and maintaining dictatorships.

Russian sabre rattling ha ha ha aye Russia is at war and has a military presence in how many countries two? three at the invitation of the incumbent governments? Aye sabre rattling ffs

  25. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

Only a fool ignores research on the grounds of perceived and flawed opinion.

A wee reminder of what the US did for UK democracy in the last election.

Pompeo is on record (tv interview) as bragging about how the US has already ensured Corbyn would not get elected and threatened there would be more to come if it looked like his campaign improved his chance of success.

Now wait for out so called champion of democracy congratulate Pompeo for saving the UK from a fate worse than death, that is the limit of his support for democracy.

  26. Well done Celtic and Neil Lennon although it would have be great to see Patryck on for longer.

I wonder if Polish Paddy relishes playing on plastic unlike some others, so maybe he will get a longer run out on Sunday ?

1st half was superb football from Celtic….2nd half not so superb, but we see that with many teams including Celtic over the years.

As for Mikey Johnston….many players are their own worst enemies ? The Bhoy made a mistake and again maybe Neil SHOULD have taken the decision out of Mikeys hands if it wasnt too late to do so, as I think the 4th Official had already put the Sub Numbers up….however I imagine that Managers are allowed to change their choice of Subs coming on when certain circumstances allow it ?

On the quest for 9 in a row, James Forrest tonight equalled Kris Commons league goals total.

Only Leigh Griffiths has contributed more goals than Jamesy.

He is also the only player to score in each of the 9 league campaigns.
